[Mod][App] Themed Stock Apps - Blue Gloss - MTCB Software Development

Well after years away from modding and skinning I decided to give it a go again.
Apps themed are Bluetooth, Movie, DVD, Music and Radio. Works on both 800x480 and 1024x600.
DOWNLOAD - HERE
To install:
Use Root Explorer or something similar.
Back up existing apk's that you are going to replace.
Copy new apps into system/apps
Then set permissions for each apk to 644
Reboot and hopefully you should be good to go.
A HUGE thanks to m4f1050 for testing before release.

This is a MUST if you have BLUE (and the Red Gloss if you have RED) interior dash lighting!!! Definitely the BEST looking themed apps, including Settings and Framework (soon!)
Great job Goose247!

Thank you kindly Sir. And a huge thanks for being my tester. Settings is 98% done, just a couple of tiny wrinkles to iron out.

Thank you from mee too - even if I have green interior lights.

I've actually half done a black version. I want to try and avoid too much white as I think it would be a bit distracting.

Yes, too much white would be harsh. If you have control over font color you could make the white a shade of gray. With a large black field gray would appear white, but perhaps less harsh.

Looking forward to the green, should look splendid on my Octavia VRS ....
Thanks

For a small donation I could make you a bespoke one, specifically for an Octavia VRS

That would be great, could you give me an idea what it would look like.... etc

My Theme generator result

Was playing with theme genreator the other day. Here is the result. Only regular theme for now, extended one with SPB support coming later
Enjoy
Damn leechers! Gimme some feedback
Cheers.
Its nice...in fact very nice. I'm using it for my XDAII now.
Additional improvement can be done by moving the big white spot slightly more to the left so that words on the Today screen and be seen more clearly....
Thx man

[APP]LightXT

Alright guys here it is. LightXT its pretty self explanatory. This does require you to be rooted. This is V.1 so there might be bugs but I haven't found any so you should be fine. This has only been tested on US XT720 running Khalpowers miui themed V3 but technically it should work on all models of this phone with the auto focus led.
Disclaimer: I am not held responsible for any harm this app may cause your phone or your LED light.
If you like this App please dont forget to hit the thanks button.
*****THIS APP DOES NOT TURN YOUR XENON FLASH ON IT TURNS ON YOUR AUTO FOCUS LIGHT***** sorry for the confusion
First!!!
Works great but i found a bug.
If you turn on the light and then rotate the screen you have to click 2 times to turn it off again...
But still awesome thanks!!!!
thanks. is the light supposed to be red? that's all Im getting
Yes its our auto focus light. Our actual flash is xenon which requires a charge to flash that's why no other flashlight app works so we created this one specific to our phone.
its amazing, thx! =))
this is amazing! thank you... thank you... thank you...
Thanks alot man! My buddy has been dying for this app and it works great. Any plans for a widget??
Just thought of something.
Could this somehow be integrated into say Khal's rom and set for use on media key?
That would be sick, probably just wishful thinking though.
I hear a cry off in the distance....

I'm trying to convince him into making us a widget it shouldn't be a problem. And there will be a version with the rotate bug fixed uploaded soon. Can't give an exact time but ill update the first post when its in my hands.
Just Great...this can help me...Thanks
until a build in widget is added, the next best thing as a work around is to use
Widgetsoid2.x to create a widget shortcut https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jim2&feature=search_result

yup thats the only one that turns on our flash is a xenox so we can not just turn it on and off. thats why when you download a led flashlight app from the market ie. droidlight it does nothing. the apps are looking in the wrong place for the led to turn on and thats why we made this app ts made only for our phone and all other variants of this phone.
i feel like i wrote that before.

Anyone have a round percentage type battery level indicator for notification bar yet?

i hate the rectangular one w/o any percentage. It is useless for someone as blind as me.
Thanks

It can be done, but for the time being you can try my ROM and flash the battery mod. It puts the number inside the stock battery. Works well

2.3.4 changed the background from black to white. How can I get it back?

With 1.83, the default background for apps was black, but with 2.3.4, they seem to have changed it to white or light grey.
Is there any way to get the default background color back to the way it was in 1.83?

Why are you guys acting like asses? All I did was ask a simple question.
Sorry. Not trying to be an ass. Your guess is as good as ours unless ive overlooked something too. Will probably have to wait for cyan7 release to get it sorted out. Lmao. You got admit it is pretty funny though because there isnt a good answer. Yet.
I voided my warranty.

Thanks for the advice - on both counts.
why would you ever want it to be black? You can't see it in the sun. White is better to see it in the sun.

Screen resolution?

I'm not all that impressed by the stock resolution, need smaller icons and more room! ANyone else?
I've noticed a few screen issues. I think once more apps are converted to being able to make use of this resolution, things will get better over time.

No, I want t take advantage of the 2k screen, Honestly I cant even really tell the difference between stock form g3 and my S5.. the icons are huge and lots of space is wasted on the page indicator.

Totally. You can make eye charts with Nova's grid. I'm enjoying the size of the icons for now, but I figure I'll tighten things up eventually.

if you root you can change ro.sf.lcd_density in /system/build.prop to a lower number like 480 looks very nice. However the LG custom apps will not work.
You could change the LCD density, if you're root. That's what I did with my S4 to make things look smaller.
changed my DPI to 530 no issues and everything fits better. wanted to try going to 1080p to see if its a real diffrence, when why i tried everything looked too big and not as smooth

edit build prop. or use a dpi changer.. you need to root tho
Well
Be careful on the DPI settings. Gotta be root, and I used a DPI changer. It worked fine. Until I couldn't get my actual phone app or contacts to work. I got around this by getting an app, but I was still having issues. I thought it was because I went thru the system and deleted a bunch of apps, accidentally deleting something important. So I did a reset. And doing a reset doesn't fix the DPI settings back. After being an idiot for a few minutes, I learned it was because of the DPI settings. Changed them back and it fixed the issue. So I've just left it alone and went with Nova. I contribute some of that ignorance to alcohol.

I edited the build prop and rebooted and for some reason that didn't work for me so I grabbed Texdroider_DPI from the play store and set it to 530 and it worked.
Looks much better!

Did it not make your lock screen wallpapers look all screwy though? It zooms in on the wallpaper and makes a dark shadow on the top part for me. I couldn't find a way around it when lowering the dpi.
Interesting... as I'm reading these, I'm thinking... some of the lettering is somewhat blurry, or has a weird look to it... is that just the IPS or the fact that no one has adapted to 2k reso?
530 is great for me. No issues so far

Yeah, the wallpaper does zoom in, and the smart notice widget gets messed up. Could probably fix it if you could resize it.

I would use Nova anyway, so hopefully no issues with a resolution change.
