I would like to connect my G3 to LG Flatron W2361V PC monitor because I want to watch videos recorded with this phone (unfortunately, my netbook isn't to powerfull and I can't even watch movie recorded in 720p on it). I have a few questions:
1. What exactly do I need - MHL micro USB HDMI cable (like this one: CLICK) or something else? Allegro in Poland is like Ebay in US.
2. Will I be able to treat the phone like gamepad - game image on the monitor, and control the game on phone?
3. What about watching movies via third party app, such as MX Player? Will this be also possible?
I think this is all for now. I will be very pleased for any help and suggestions about what to buy.

Al of these cons you listed for the M8 apply to the MXIII in my experience (I have an MXIII). I have better playback experience using MX Player w/ ARM v7 Neon codecs (HW+ decoding) for 1080p and 10-bit H.264 (yes, I watch anime).
In other words, these boxes seem almost exactly comparable (they may have the exact same hardware).
both of these boxes have since been updated to the Amlogic S812 processor M8S & the MXiii plus
the M8S has also another model now available in the M8S+ with 1 gb lan port and running android 5.1.1.
I have the M8S+ and can say its a great improvement on its predecessor.
worth looking at if your thinking about buying an M8S or MXiii

Hey, for me m8s+ is a big now.
Had it a while now and not able to get a status bar or navigation bar to show/work.
I've tried a couple of rom, including the one above and 5.1.1.
Any info or help would be great, is the status bar and navigation bar just not possible here?

How to update MXIII to Android 5.1 or Custom ROM
I have Amlogix MXIII 4K TV BOX running Android 4.4.2, it sometimes does not turn on properly and gets stuck at MXBOX logo and keeps loading, I have to take out power and put it back multiple times before it loads to home screen, is there anyway to fix this or update this box to a custom file or android 5.1 for better performance ?

I've an mxiii 2g/8g bricked, no hdmi signal, red light only..
I've manage to bring it to this after a half booting by a power line failure, and then only the red light was on...
I was looking to revive it with amlogic usb tool, but only to 2% then give a pll error..even with several img...was not reading from sd card with boot magic...
Any thoughts?

The Team DevDigitel universal ROM could quite likely work, since it is for any Amlogic S8xx.
Assuming that you have backups etc, you could try the way I successfully upgraded my S812 box.
If you do, make sure you let us know how it went

I've purchased VU Iconium 4K LED TV last year in Feburary 2016. It has a pathetic VU Smart OS installed. I can't install anything on it from google play store as it allows only opera store to install apps. The stock browser is opera and really getting on to my nerves. Can't even access google play store.
Can't find out how much RAM and ROM or what other hardware specs are there in TV as it is not disclosed by the manufacturers. This company never reveals their hardware specs.
Stone age OS installed on the TV.
TV has limited inbuilt Apps and Opera App Store has limited apps too.
Can't install web browsing apps like Mozilla or Chrome.
Can't install MX Player or other apps on TV. Inbuilt Movie player is horrible and of stone age era.
Can't use keyboard and mouse with anything.
No keyboard typing support is there.
Can only use the remote provided with the TV.
No firmware updates from the company so far.
TV quality is marvelous but the OS is a big disappointment.
My question to experts is, how can I install Apk's on my TV?
Any possibility to "ROOT" it? How can I root a LED TV? I haven't found any tutorials online. Neither on YouTube nor on Google Search.
Possibility to install Another OS on my LED TV? May be a full fledged Android OS, if yes, How can I do it?
Is there any expert and dedicated group that Hacks/Roots SMART 4K TV interfaces? If so, can someone please direct me to that forum or website? I've searched the forums and I've only encountered Hacking and rooting TV dongles/boxes but nothing on SMART TVs interfaces.

I'm more interested in flashing or changing the OS of my TV. I have figured out one thing that the company VU Luxuary Televisions in India is selling HISENSE TV models with their branding on them. I have confirmed that LTDN55XT780XWAU3D 4K ULED TV this is a HISENSE model which they don't sell and support in USA. I was actually looking for latest firmware update from HISENSE for this model. But the chat executive told me that this model is no longer supported in USA. Is there any way I can get a HISENSE latest firmware update for this model?

Yes, it's confirm that the model which VU sold in 2016 model number shared above is Hisense 55H8C model. I have checked the user mannual. Sharing the link here now.

SO I FOUND A THREAD ON QOURA AND THE PERSON BELONGED TO THE FIELD OF INSTALLING AND REPAIRING TV SAID THAT THE COMPANY VU DOES NOT
GIVE FIRMWARE ON ANY SITE AND YOU MUST CONTACT THEM AND THEN THEY WILL SEND YOU THE UPDATE VIA EMAIL.
I AM FACING THE SAME ISSUE IN MY VU 43BU114 (SAME ICONIUM SERIES ) AND WILL TRY IT OUT

the os is generic android based on 4.4.3 version.

Hi everyone,I have the same VU iconium 4k Android tv model(43BU113).I am having the same issue it's totally waste of money .One thing that I can suggest you that you should buy a "Amazon fire TV stick 4k".It will be a better option as you will connect with the fire TV stick with your HDMI port with your VU tv and make your TV the Real time 4k tv and having unlimited apps in the fire tv .It will be worth if you'll buy it!

Now i require your help with the following:
1. I am unable to connect my 5.1 Mitashi analog speakers (they came with red yellow white wires) to the TV. Earlier i was able to when i installed the TV for the first time. At that time both Speakers and TV volume were in operation. I.e i use to keep my TV volume as 0 and only use speakers for volume. Now i am frustrated as to why i am not able to do the same.
2. I have downloaded few 4k movies with resolution described as 3840 X 2160 but when i play them on through my HDD i am unable to forward/rewind or skip to certain part of the video. please refer any video player for the android version in order to play the 4k files in mkv version.
3. I have tried side loading VLC and MX player apps to the TV but they either don't work properly or display or user interface is poor and at times not compatible.
4. Is there any way to side load Google play store and services on the same as the TV has a pathetic App store with obsolete apps.
5. Can we update the Android version on the TV? Manufacture has not been helping for it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Looking forward for your answers.
