I'm using GO SMS (older version) and recent True Phone; I would like to have badge notifications of unanswered/new calls and messages. I've tried Hola/Go/CM launcher and notification app but it does not work, it shows notification but only for system applications.
Is there anything better in Lollipop for this matter or maybe you know a working solution that does not include installing Xposed ?

Lately i discovered the Xposed mod and am very happy with the availability off mods for it.
I would like to ask if some off you mod creators could have a look at my problems with sms app and maybe create a mod for one of these ?
I've been with Android for some months now and really enjoy using it but when it comes to sending an sms, Android seems to think sms is just another app like facebook or skype but it's the only thing (besides calling) that works on every phone & on every platform and with every provider.
-> I would be very happy if someone could make a mod to get delivery reports inside call/sms logs so i can check when an sms was delivered.
Best example is Newyear, you send an sms to everyone in your phone but on android you'll never know if it got delivered because there is no delivery reports log (i think). And as soon as you touch that notification it's gone forever and you didn't even see when/if/who it got delivered.
-> I found an xposed mod wich puts the sms ringtone on the same volume slider as the calling ringtone, wich is a great change, finally no more other apps that need high volume because sms needs to sound loud BUT i love to have a separate volume slider for sms (dunno if this is possible in a mod?)
-> when my device is in use and i get an sms, nothing shows up on my screen, only in notifications. my notifications bar is set to auto hide so if sound is off i don't even notice i got an sms. So maybe a mod that show the popup from lockscreen also when the device is not locked ? (i know there are probably some apps for this, but i prefer something working directly from the firmware instead off installing tons off extra apps).
-> if i use a long sms tune, it keeps playing till i unlock the phone and open the sms, it would be nice if it stopped as soon as i touch the sms widget on the lockscreen, or even better stop when i touch/unlock the phone.
Dunno if any off this is possible ? if so many thanks in advance for trying !

Does anybody know about app which is similar like app "Hide Picture - Hide if Pro", and it is working on KitKat 4.4.2 for SMS hiding?
The problem is that I have flashed new rom 4.4.2 KitKat and now feature for SMS hiding in app "Hide Picture - Hide if Pro" is not correctly working.
Before on 4.2 rom this feature worked fine, in the way that I assign private number for SMS, and this app would automatically without showing SMS collect it in put in her private folder. I would only get fake notification whit which I know that I have private SMS from somebody. So when I click on this fake notification I get fake screen in which I can control volume for my phone, but this is just a mask, so I have to long pres app logo on this screen and than I get new screen where I have to input my previous defined code for entering the app and now I can look who have send me SMS, what is the message and I can respond to the message. So in every moment my SMS conversation between this privata numbers are never show in default SMS app. Also with this feature for private SMS I can block this numbers which I define for private.
I have try GoSMS Pro and some others but no app is working 100%.
I would like to stay on this 4.4.2 KitKat rom but I need this app.
Does someone know about similar WORKING app with all previous explained features for 4.4.2 KitKat?

Few days ago I got Redmi Note 4 and I really like phone and system.
I upgraded MIUI to 9 version but I got problem with notifications.
I just wanna use Messenger I dont care if it's from Facebook Lite,Messenger Lite, Swipe For Facebook, Friendly etc.
The problem is I can't get real time notifications at all...
Messenger Lite works good for max 15-20 minutes in idle receiving notifications but later nothing... When I enter app It also doesn't want to refresh (Messenger Lite).
I have tried Facebook Lite but push notification are so delayed...
Things already tried:
Disable power saving mode on specific app
Disable 'destroy activity' function.
Check Notification settings
Setup notifications for each App in settings.
Ensure app has notifications enabled.
Enable Autostart
Lock apps to memory in recent.
Customise power saving settings.
I don't know why people get all notifications without tweaks and I can't get anything without it.
What app should I use and with which tweaks
I don't want to flash custom ROM for only notifications...and also I need to wait for BL unlock...
So I just recently bought this device about 3 days ago. I'm a former iOS user and I'm really missing pop-up notifications on this device.
I'm aware that they do exist and work, but not in my case.
I've tried setting setting up App launch, Notification management settings, manually checking if an app like Messenger has notifications enabled.
I am getting notifications to my lock screen and status bar, sound and vibration, but I'm not getting pop up notifications while I'm doing something on my phone which is really annoying.
I've also disabled notifications on the status bar, but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.
Another thing I've tried is using a fake notification app and setting up a custom notification. It works just like described above while the priority is set to 'normal'. When I set it to 'high' priority, only then it gives me a pop up notification.
Sorry if I'm not very clear on this.
I'm running EMUI 8.2.0 and Android 8.1.0, also using Nova launcher prime if that's any useful info.

Im trying to set notification tone for Whatsapp messages, but when prompted to complete the action, I have no valid app to view system sounds (audio files gives me a blank list).
I have to mention that the notification tones are accessible for Clock app, and for Default alerts sound).
I'm with the official Miui 10.0.4 Global version.
Is this normal? should I install a 3rd party app to access system notification tones?
