Just saw this and noticed that the 5x is not listed to receive Marshmallow via Honor Twitter feed. Any thoughts?

It's says the rollout is due to begin in November, meaning it was written before that, I guess it was because the 5x wasn't out yet.

honor 5X will get Android M. Customers in the US will soon be able to sign up for the BetaClub program to help test this new software.

I would like to participate in testing if possible. Can't wait for MM update. Phone looks and works great on LP already so the improvements should add more greatness!!!

Yes, usually a new version is out with a new nexus, the same day.
The new LG isn't out yet, it will be the first to ship with native nougat on board.

Maybe Google learned after the past two years where everything is spoiled weeks prior to the official announcement of the device. Would make sense if we just got the device out thin air.

It will be out later this year, probably around when the 6p got released the last year.

Yeah, strange this year. I've seen articles saying all indications say it will be an October launch again?
I already have the OTA after doing a manual search for update. It's 49.5MB, coming from DP5.

The only reason I think it's coming sooner is because of the OS release.
Nexus 6 released with 5.0
Nexus 6p released with 6.0
So then why break the tradition? I think I'm right on that by the way.

Yep my battery life has gotten back to normal as well
I came on looking for just this topic. I have the snapdragon version, and while it may have been late in the month, this is the first time they actually have missed a monthly update for me.. Maybe our version is down the pipe soon hopefully..

the security update is already released since over a weak for my region

yes the unlocked devices have it even in canada, and its pure lame why suddenly the april for snapdragon in the USA is VERY LATE. don't waste time calling samsung, they will say something like , it looks like you got the patch, is that why you are asking.

Actually, there is only a firmware with GPU for honor 9 chinese variants.
But it's not released to china yet as it's still unapproved to public.

It is a public beta that can be applied and installed as long as users wish now for Chinese varients.However it is not pushed to all now.

Well I know it's due out within the next month so close enough
So I just got a message that a new update is available, I'm not on WiFi right now, so I won't download it till I get home. Is there any big changes on this firmware? Great hardware needs great software. Hopefully this addresses some issues.

No problems at all with this. Simply set region to Italy before searching the update, after the update set the region back to yours.

No benefits at all besides getting OTAs earlier in case of a staged rollout.

Not sure where your statement came from but the USA version is still getting updates. They're not coming as quickly as in the beginning but that is how it's going to work for all Android devices from Huawei going forward since they cannot work with Google. That affects Huawei devices in all locales not just the USA.
