Unofficial TWRP 3.0.0 for the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 LTE (T235)
Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or twrp3 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
This recovery is only for the T235
BEFORE YOU START!Flashing TWRP 3.0.0 WILL set KNOX to 1, meaning it WILL void your warranty. While nothing should go wrong if you do everything right, any damage or unwanted causes are not mine, but YOUR responsibilities!

Download Samsung USB drivers
Download Odin 3.10
Power Off your phone
Hold VOL Down + Power + Home until you boot into Download mode (Android Logo appears)
Press VOL Up to confirm entrance into Download mode
Connect your Tab to your PC while it is in Download mode
Open Odin 3.10
Make sure your device is recognized by odin (Blue box should appear)
Select AP (Or PDA if you are using a older odin version)
Select your TWRP 3.0.0 Tar
Click Start
Wait until it says PASS
Reboot into recovery (Start with VOL UP + POWER + HOME)
Enjoy TWRP
Img file
Download the TWRP img file
Move it to your tab via USB if you didn't download it on your Tab
Reboot into twrp 2.8
Go to install
Select flash IMG
Select the TWRP img
Choose recovery
Wait until the flash is completed
Reboot into recovery
Enjoy TWRP 3.0.0

Q : Why do you suddenly develop for this device ?
A : Because I own a s5 mini. As some of you already know, I contributed to CM13 for the S5 mini which happends to have the same chipset as this device.
Q : What about the T230, will you still work on it?

Right before you restored, did you try wiping all the partitions you were about to restore?
I make a full wipe. Wipe restoring partition and finish is bootlop.

I've just done this restore from my backup and my phone did reboot as normal. No boot-loop encountered.
Flashed via odin. After flashing when I booted into recovery I got "no command" error. What seemed to fix it was unticking "auto-reboot" in odin and then booting straight to recovery ater flashing.

Yes, font size is pretty small indeed. Other than that it works.
I suspect that it may have been built for something with different DPI, but yes, otherwise it's working great.
Strange DPI indeed, but basic functions are okay.
3.0.2-0 has been out for a while, though without significant changes there may not be a need for updates.

I have encountered same problem : stuck like hell at Samsung's logo.
Have you 32 or 64 gB external cards? I've experienced problems with a 64 card and TWRP 2.8. 32 card seems right http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60170327&postcount=75

Chameleon OS (or ChaOS for short) is a custom Android ROM that gives the user more control than they can experience on any other Android ROM. Starting with a CyanogenMOD base, we customize each piece to give ultimate control while maintaining the simplicity we all love about Android. The most notable feature of ChaOS is the theme engine, which can apply different pieces of themes in a true mix-and-match style. The launcher has been completely overhauled with tons of options that you'd normally need to download a third-party launcher for, such as home screen previews, folder sorting, and folder icon styles. The Messaging app has also had some UI retouches, including messaging bubbles and quick emoji button.
The entire framework of ChaOS has been modified around the theme engine, allowing for custom fonts, boot animations (with animated preview), and themes. No longer do you have to try to find the perfect theme, with Chameleon OS you can patch it together with your favorite pieces from different themes. Messaging, Phone, Status Bar, icons, everything can be set completely individually from each other which provides the capabilities to completely re-imagine your phone. Creating themes for the ChaOS Theme Engine is superbly simple and has extreme versatility.
Even with all of the features we've currently implemented, ChaOS will continue to mature with even more refined settings and features. We will be completely open source and will welcome developers to join us, whether it be by maintaining a device or utilizing our gerrit review. Even if you're not a developer, your voice will not go unheard. We will continually poll our users for the most wanted features and do our best to implement them.
The efforts of creators of Chaos are concentrated on security too, you will find such solutions as:
- ChaOS Firewall – an app, that let the user to decide which of installed applications will have access to WiFi or/and mobile data connection.
- Permissions Management – with that menu option You can change any of default permissions of any installed apk.

Installation:
1. Put ROM’s Zip file Zip z ROMem (and other zip files - optionally) on SD Card
2. Enter Recovery Mode
3. Pick options:
a) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
b) In „mounts and storage” choose: Format System
c) (just in case) Mount system partition (it supposed to be „unmount” visible)
4. Choose Install Zip (or similar, depends on recovery version)
a) Install ROM from SD card
5. (optional) installing Gapps and other add-ons
a) In „mounts and storage” Mount /system (as described above)
b) Choose install zip and install chosen add-on
c) repeat a and b points for any other add-on
6. Reboot Phone (first BOOT could take a while)

Edit:with some themes looks even worse, maybe creators of ROM didn't know that somebody with do "weak" phone will use it

Minor bug, i dont care really. At least we have bootable chameleon os not too many known bugs
EDIT: btw mine omly looks good ehen quick pull down, when press and go back to quick settings screen also halfed

It looks like it is related to 3-gui-modes included and or theme usage quirk...
Few observations:
Unmodded ROM is not fastest thing i ever seen(sth like cm10.2), there's FC's with performance ctrl(SU issues, imho), rom hangs weirdly after using roxsel v2(prolly same reason)...
Kbd backlight controller has no effect at all(SU again, imho, but no fc, weird).
Nice thing - firewall, but again, it is so far from xprivacy...
Generally speaking this OS has potential.
At least it is not blue...

Because every ROM have different SystemUI, so it should not work with another ROM as you have.
It will work with mysense rc4 and insertcoin 2.1.0 too

When the SystemUI is based on mySENSEdx5, it works on any Sense 5 ROMs.
When the SystemUI is based on ROM other than mySENSEdx5, it may not work on all Sense 5 ROMs.

frameworks have mods or different icons, so if you change that, it may work and it may not work
Do you have FCs on accessibility and messages? And by what program did you do theme. I tried port blue theme and have 3 bugs...

Just apktool, errors are not important in framework-res.apk, framework-htc-res.apk and SystemUI.apk. For com.htc.resources.apk there is a special way to decompile that ;p

But on htc one there are more than needed png's..

To install this ROM you should have loaded ROOT and CWM
How to install the rom:
Download ROM and copy it to the internal memory or SD card.

Installation is done via CWM recovery
Prior to installation:
Make a backup of your current ROM
Do a factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik cache
Format /system
Then install the rom. By selecting * Install a .zip, then select the storage you copied it and select the .zip.

thanks, yes it's safe,if you want install this rom do not go back to 4.4, stay on .5.0.2 and install this rom/restore as backup in twrp.
of course its only for D620 model version.
is there a way to change this background?
Is that rom battery efficient? For example i have experience with Go locker/launcher, that runs on background and causes battery drain...What do you think?
Would be nice if you write the description in the OP for the type model...

Hi, is more fast than 4.4 or at least equal?
EDIT: Trying, by now is soooo good, nice work faster than pure stock by far, average 300mb free ram.
Using TWRP 2.8.7.0,placed the recovery @ internal storage and it doesnt come up...
I remember someone had this same issue before and he changed something like the metadata of the backup to the ones necessary(something like IMEI,something unique per device)
EDIT:Make a single backup of a part of your rom(cache or something small),this way TWRP will give a folder a weird name and inside that there will be your backup(another folder) with the time of it as its name.You must drop the DroidMaster folder in the same directory as the folder that has being named by the time it was made in order for the backup to become visible

if someone have problem with backup-visible, just put TWRP folder of backup per MTP in RECOVERY/TWRP or make backup of your rom then put my backup on sdcard again now will be visible

ps of course format and wipe is making automatically when you will install rom|restoring backup so make some backup of your apps.
Finally the best ROM on G2M, better than 4.4.2 DroidMaster.

EDIT: So far very good I reccomend you to use partition SD as well, works just fine (use ext4 f2fs is not supported)
EDIT2: Ok, dont mess with partitions. Soft brick here -> Solution: just wipe cache and dalvik cache (soft brick probably caused by linking dalvik cache on to SD)

first of all update ur twrp recovery to the latest one to 3.2.1 then flash my rom the installation doesnt takes forever u didnt see the progress of the rom istallation so plz be wait and try the rom .

Hi and thanks for this new build. Some things bother me in this ROM :
- I do not understand why but on several MIUI builds, I cannot record videos with the camera. It seems to work fine but no file is created on the internal storage or SD card (i have a6020a46 2Gb variant)
- I did not succed to flash magisk to have root
- some visual issues (for example some bottom screen texts or logos not centered in the button, like the update search or the sync button)
- too much apps installed by default and no way to disable them (Google Photos, Google Hangouts...)

ok, that's why I've already downloaded other global versions and did not have the Portuguese language ? but if you have French, you can have Portuguese too, because the others only have 5 languages
