Yup, same question here. Would be great.

While I don't have any definite answer the other flagships do have dual sim options, as they are very popular overseas outside of the USA and it would only make sense for LG to capitalize on that market and produce devices with dual sims, atleast that's what I hope!

Got info from UAE Etisalat that the LG g5 dual sim will be the only version sold here, not going thru that path again.
Any idea on what the international version is?

Dual sim versions of any flagship are less supported by their respective oems. This includes my experiences with HTC M7, M8, Samsung S5 and current G4.

Not a single problem really except for not having the normal international version (h815 which is bootloader unlock-able)

will the dual sim version support micro sd? or will it be like the S7 where it is 1 sim+ microsd or dual sim.

I have looked around for both the LG G5 with Dual Sim and the S7 Edge with 64 GB but have not seen them in either Taiwan or Hong Kong at the moment. Only new model with 64 and 128Gb is the Xiamoi http://www.xiaomidevice.com/xiaomi-mi5-4g.html

LG G5 Dual SIM confirmed for Hong Kong
Attached specifications of the Hong Kong version of the LG G5 (originally published on March 22nd, 2016 at http://www.pc3mag.com/lg-g5-hk/) allegedly confirm that it will be Dual SIM and it will also support European LTE frequency bands.
According to Bing Translator

means

Could this "dual design" be an inaccurate translation for "hybrid slot" implying that the device will either accomodate a second SIM card or alternatively a microSD card?
The specs in the attached photo list the following LTE frequency bands:
FDD: 700(B12, B17 & B28) / 800(B20) / 850(B5) / 900(B8) / 1700(B4) / 1800(B3) / 1900(B2) / 2100(B1) / 2600(B7) MHz*

This is good news for Europeans considering to import a Dual SIM-capabale LG G5 from Hong Kong.
Maybe a fellow forum member fluent in Mandarin can extract some more details from the given sources. Such could perhaps also confirm that the specs on the photo are indeed those of the Dual SIM version and not just a generic specs sheet where * stands for "frequency configuration depends on region".

LG G5 H868 is the international Dual SIM version
Since today pdadb.net lists two LG G5 Dual SIM models:
LG G5 H860N Dual SIM supporting the following frequency bands:
GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900,
CDMA800 (BC0),
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1),
LTE2100 (B1), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7),

The H868 already has an official product page in in China which hides the model designation "H868" in its source code:
<title>LG G5 TITAN H868, 玩出奇 才智胜–LG手机官网</title>

The H860N with its CDMA and TD-LTE support seems to be slated for the Chinese market while the H868 covers all major LTE frequency bands globally making it as good to use in Europe as in America or Asia. So H868 is the model most of us will be looking for.
The only mysteries left are whether the H868 will have a hybrid slot or if it can harbour two SIM cards and a microSD card at once and whether it will support VoLTE.

LG g5 will the dual sim version support micro sd?

Yes, it will but I fear it will have a hybrid slot where you can either insert a second SIM or a microSD card, but not both simultaneously.

Yes, that's what they call hybrid slot which can be found on numerous recent Dual SIM phones from Huawei and Samsung.
Actually for the Huawei Honor 7 there is a tweak where you separate the chip from your SIM card's plastic and stick it onto a microSD card so both fit back into the hybrid slot but that's complicated and the SIM loses its compatibility with other handsets. An illustrated how-to can be found on the German "Android-Hilfe" forum: http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/honor-7-2x-sim-plus-micro-sd-karte-gleichzeitig-nutzen.733080/
I definitely want two autonomous SIM slots and a separate one for a microSD. Even a large internal memory cannot compensate for the advantages of a microSD which can usually be easily removed and read from a defective handset or be replaced by a larger one once you run out of space.

LG V10 - Dual sim versions?

How many dual sim versions of the V10 are there? H921N, H962?
All the dual sim versions have 2 sim slots and a 3rd slot for a SD card correct?
Also does the V10 dual sim version have a IR blaster built in?
I googled for information and photos but all I could find was info on the USA single sim model.
H921N owner here, yes, it has the two sim slots and the sd card one. And yes, mine has an IR blaster.
H962: 2 sim and 1 sd card slots, check. Ir blaster, check
Thank you for the replies. Anyone know which one of the dual sim model works in Colombia SA?
Here you can check it for Colombia:

The problem with Colombia is that some phones are just not approved to be put on there networks even if it supports the frequency range. My brother purchased a dual sim phone that had the supported hardware to run on the frequencies in Colombia but when he went to activate he was told that particular make and model could not be used in Colombia.
I know the V10 is sold in Colombia on Exito.com webite and it is the LGH960A model but I can not find any information on if it has dual sims or not.

S9+ Duos and Exynos - Dual Sim Dual VoLTE?

Is Galaxy S9+ Duos with Exynos SoC Dual Sim Dual VoLTE or 2nd Sim Card is 2G/3G only?
So, you will want to use two different SIMs and speak use VoLTE for both?
I think it's possible. I have never thought of it this way, but it should work (although I do not have any evidence to back it up)
Looks like SIM2 won't do LTE at all according to phonemore http://www.phonemore.com/samsung-galaxy-s9-plus-sm-g965fds/specs/3886

Sorry, but Phonemore specs are completely unbelievable. It's simply bullsh...
Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S8+ Duos and Note 8 Duos (all with Exynos) have 2nd SIM 2G/3G capable. Why could S9+ have only 2G network on 2nd SIM, if older models have 2G/3G?
Galaxy S9+ Duos with Snapdragon SoC supports 4G and VoLTE on both simcards simultaneously. Is it the same with Exynos version?

Unfortunately non of this devices you mention supports 3G. You have to switch in settings in order to have suport 3G,4G for sim 2 and vice versa.
S8 Exynos (G950FD) supported VOLTE on both SIM but not simultaneously; the other SIM would no longer remain in VOLTE network mode if you selected that mode for one SIM.
It's a shame that below $100 xiaomi phones now support VOLTE simultaneously on both SIM but Samsung doesn't. I hope S9 series does.

Well, my pre-order is expected to be delivered by 17th March; I can test and let you know by then.
Will voLTE be enabled by default on unlocked phones? Or will I have to buy an operator modified ROM to have the option to use the VoLTE or Wifi calling services?
Thanks
Its Hybrid Dual-Standby config so unfortunately only 1 sim can be primary at 4G/VoLTE and other can be only 3G/2G at that time.
Yea, I've just got my S9+ Exynos and I can confirm: when 1st SIM card is connected to LTE/VoLTE service, the second SIM card is connected to 3G network
No Dual Sim Dual VoLTE.
Shame on you, Samsung. Half year old Huawei Mate 10 Pro is better choice.

Now we need to wait and see if the Snapdragon version can do it.
Another question, if you disable LTE on SIM 1, can SIM 2 then connect to LTE. Or do you have to swap the SIM cards over?

I second that.
I just received my S9+ (via renewal of my mobile contract) and received a dual sim one (check by inserting two sim cards, it does ask for both pins and let's me choose the sim card to use for calling), although it was never advertised as such.
However, it only shows LTE for the first one.
Considering that the dual-sim version is marketed as specific "Duos" devices, those might differ - but I wouldn't bet on it.

You can do that within settings itself.
Problem is not with switching Band of Data SIM; but having both SIM work at LTE simultaneously.

Is the SHT-AL09 dual SIM?

That's the M5 8.4 Chinese version with GSM / UMTS / LTE.
No official info in specs, but looking at photos of spare parts, it looks like the tray is dual sim.
If anyone could clarify.
Thanks.
SIM and sdcard
Does dual definitely not work? Some that are officially SIM & SD also work as SIM & SIM (especially with Huawei).
no. i already try it. just one sim works
Thanks.

No, it won't. You're talking about the H930DS.
These are the H930DS LTE bands below. Missing 2, 4, 12, 13 for what you need.... And you can't "Frankenstein" the H939DS to convert to North American variants, with their frequencies. H930DS is for other parts of the world.
LTE2100 (B1), LTE1800 (B3), LTE850 (B5), LTE2600 (B7), LTE900 (B8), LTE800 (B20), LTE700 (B28)
TD-LTE2600 (B38), TD-LTE1900 (B39), TD-LTE2300 (B40), TD-LTE2500 (B41)
Had a feeling you'd help me out. Thanks.
I'll just forward the number and use Verizon messages plus then if I go with this device. Just really don't like to have to do that....
I'm not completely sure how Verizon call forwarding works but if it still allows for me to use lte on the Verizon phone while forwarded I can have it ring my Google number and allow both phones to ring. if that is the case I really don't need the dual SIM as much as would prefer to have Verizon and cricket coverage especially since Verizon has better coverage. Unfortunately the cricket number will be my primary carry.
I'm looking for a device that will be equal to or better than the pixel 2 (my current work phone).
The mi mix 2 or mi mix 3 is looking very tempting.
My wife has an htc u11.
But this is the other device I looked hard at before buying the u11 for her.

As you know, lots of Verizon users on here from the Droid Turbo (Moto Quark) XDA forums. @schwinn8, @gimpy1, @nnjimmy59 and many others.
For hardware features, this is better than the Pixel 2: has
headset jack,
Quad DAC,
DTS 3D Surround sound (with root; on recent firmware updates LG has the framework -- the libs -- but you need root to enable for some reason),
microSD card slot, and
Qi wireless charging.
Mint US998 V30+ (128GB) is now $185 on eBay. You'll need your already-activated Verizon SIM card. After bootloader unlock and TWRP installation, then you can flash to Verizon TWRP flashable zip (ROM) made from latest stock KDZ firmware, and have all Verizon features. You're basically converting to VS996 -- BUT with 128GB internal memory, plus microSD card.
Or you can buy Verizon-branded VS996 (64GB), if you wish, but I've not priced those recently.
Be aware that almost all "new" V30 at this point in time are really refurbished, which is why I'm more willing to look at "mint" used. I've bought from that seller several times.
Be sure to buy a good case like this one:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spigen-LG-V30-Rugged-Armor-Shockproof-Case-Slim-TPU-Cover-/253142676754
They can be very slippery with the glass front and back.
Actually I'd be running on cricket (att) but the price is indeed right.
I don't miss my headphone jack, I've moved to Bluetooth.
The rest would be nice.
The specs are very close. With lg having a slightly faster processor and bigger battery.
I wish it were a physically smaller phone. I already feel the p2 is too large but it is good for games.
Any suggestion as to the exact model to get for cricket (att)
Mind you I'd want it to be unlockable

All V30 variants can be bootloader unlocked and rooted. U.S. T-mobile H932 uses a more difficult method, while all the others use the "WTF" bootloader unlock exploit.
US998 V30/V30+/V30S are all carrier unlocked, if you are also talking about that. In fact, the default method to carrier unlock the AT&T H931 and the Sprint LS998 are to "Frankenstein" convert them to US998 firmware. It instantly carrier unlocks them -- very useful for people in other countries buying these phones off eBay...
My wife, me, my mother, my sister, her husband, two other friends all use the US998 on AT&T. The US998 is the "official" North America carrier unlocked variant, with compatibility for all carriers. (Yes, I use AT&T but have never used AT&T-branded phones. For the Quark, I had the Moto XT1225 I imported from other countries.)
You probably want the V30+ for the extra internal memory.

991U1 dual sim?

I have the sm-G991Gu1 that I ordered from samsung in the US. Currently using it with a tmo aim card.
I've read that all s21 models are dual sim. Is this true? Can I put in another sim card from my European carrier and use it when traveling etc? (not esim).
