Multilanguage or not? - Redmi Note 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear all,
Can someone please confirm if this latest ROM IS or IS NOT multilang:
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V7.1.3.0.LHMMICK/miui_HMNote2Global_V7.1.3.0.LHMMICK_8f1ce11602_5.0.zip
taken from the page http://en.miui.com/download-274.html
Also, does this contain the Chinese bloatware or not? I just got a new redmi note 2, and every time I turn on its screen I get a full screen ad. I want to get rid of it.
Thanks for any pointers!
viktak

It's Global Stable rom. So, it's multilangual and there is no chinese bloatware.
LMMICK is for global stable.
LMCNCK is for chinese stable.

Thank you for the confirmation. I also thought so, but in some threads (I can't recall where exactly) I read that there is no multi, just Chinese/English. Anyway, thanks again, going to flash it first thing tomorrow morning (it's getting late here....)

What about global stable miui V6.6.5.0?

Does anyone have any experience with the MIUI v6.6.5.0 global stable rom, please share it here?
I have 6.6.5.0 (KXFMICF) Global Stable loaded on mine. Doesn't feel much different than the previous global stable ROM. Not sure if they addressed some of the wifi connecting issues because that's the only thing that "seems" better to me with this latest ROM.
Xiaomi keeps on releasing updates for the Mipad, but they don't intend to make the device any better.

what i have done so far :
1.restart/reboot multiple times
2.fastboot flash using latest stable global miui.(originally i bought this from china, so the original stock rom was indeed a chinese version.)

Not familiar with this particular device, but having flashed 1000s of roms, I would be willing to bet it's a kernel issue, as that is the most common cause of that problem.

First thing is i want to correct that the right term to use is flash not burn.

ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini - NX529J - International Rom / Firmware

Hello to anyone!
I just purchased this beautiful Z11 Mini. It arrived with a quite nice rom pre-installed, with GApps etc. But as far as I searched, there's still chinese writings, apps, and some kind of errors.
Someone knows where to find a firmware that could replace this one, with less errors and maybe more languages? An international rom, just saying.
Thanks in advance, really.
UP?
UP?
You can not port the ROM by CM ?
Here is a ROM but still 5.1.1.
Which version do you have.
The latest version is I think 1:30 ZTE.
Once the regular Z11 comes, there will be the marshmallow version.
But I want to have CM! I try all the time, but I do not come here throughout.

I bought one of these last night.
Have you found any custom ROMs for it on XDA since first posting?
Hi.
The best rom available for this model is here:
http://blog.grossoshop.net/nubia-z11-mini-rom-gs-by-cuoco92/
Direct link:
https://mega.nz/#!9gcFhYLL!qDBx58VAxIhCGTm6NicbnuIKRa81pmD8MTWgTQVu_dU
You must have Twrp installed on your phone and just flash.
It's the 1.30 version but you will get an Ota notification to update to V 1.32.
Multilanguage and stable.
Hey,
I have downloaded the last version from Nubia (1.36) and customized it to remove chinese bloatware and useless stuff.
It's light enough to flash the STOCK opengapps ! (64 Bits for 5.1)
First boot take a while when flashing stock but it's working smoothly !
Here is my share : https://mega.nz/#!ehBAHZAK!t6MVMKOhRNHjomBwfnKXDvvG4U5Nf-samL1EYNddFAk
Flash it from TWRP with a full wipe.

Downgrade to MIUI 8.0.3.0 global stable?

Hi guys
Just received my redmi note 4 three days ago, set it up and installed all my apps and it was good, the version on it was MIUI 8.0.3.0 Global Stable, but it was asking me to update to 8.0.4.0, so I did, and ever since I noticed that the phone gets more hot, battery drains faster than it used to on previous version, and what's even worse, is the signal, it keeps always switching between 4G and 3G even if the signal coverage in my location is good (had the galaxy s7 before and it never did this), even on MIUI 8.0.3.0 it was a stable 4G all the time. So I performed a factory reset and started fresh, battery and heat are now good but I still have the bad signal issue. So I figured that I should downgrade to MIUI 8.0.3.0 and wait for 8.2 hoping that it won't have this issue. The question is how can I do that? Can I use the standard method of flashing using SP Flash Tool found here? http://en.miui.com/thread-370620-1-1.html
If you have any other solutions, please advise
Thank you!

Hello there!
You can use the method that you linked without any problem. SPFlashTool does not check for current firmware version so you can do a downgrade just fine. Make sure to follow the exact steps in MIUI Forums especially where it says wich files/images to flash to your device. Otherwise you may brick your Note 4.
If you are interested you could also try a custom ROM wich will give you a smoother and less buggy device. But you will need a bootloader unlock for that to work.

I've already downgraded, unlocked my bootloader and tried a couple of custom ROMs including Epic ROM and multirom, but I didn't like them very much, they had too many buys and the development for them is not very good.. Could you suggest a good custom ROM that isn't as buggy and has a good battery life? I'd appreciate it if you could.

I only tested one ROM yet and that would be that one linked here!
It works just fine at the moment. I have had it for 4 days now. I would also suggest flashing Magisk 11 or suhide.
There currently is a Bug with the middle Softkey wich is assigned to multitasking view and the google search at once. Someone has posted a fix for that wich i cant find currently because it was posted in MIUI forums and the user was banned. You can always try to swap the Softkeys yourself with an xposed module or a root app.

Tried this one before, it was good enough, and I was able to swap the buttons using Gravitybox.. I just flashed latest epic ROM yesterday and so far so good.. But I'll surely change it again in a few days (I love re-flashing ROMs)

Recently bought X829 varient have a few questions thanks!

Okay so as title says i recently bought a LeEco Le Max 2 X829 from gearbest. I had a few questions and was hoping someone here could help =).
I have searched but didn't seem to find much to help me. Well first i was wondering if i should just leave it on the rom i receive from gearbest or is that a bad idea, Also was curious if the phone would work with h2o, It has all the bands but just wanting to get verification from someone else. Thanks.
Hello @AdcMainVayne,
As far I'm concerned this phone works in most European countries and the only band that does not work is LTE Band 20, but the rest should work just as expected. When it comes to the stock firmware available on the X829, I recommend you to install a custom rom like Cuoco92, because of that the stock rom on the X829 receives no updates and comes with a very outdated version of EUI. The link to the Fastboot package for Cuoco92 can be found here.
I would flash the latest Indian ROM after wiping everything since online Chinese retailers are known to add trojans/viruses/etc. Besides the X829 ROM is abandonware and won't get any updates ever.

Flashing the indian rom for this phone would kind of not be very worthwhile as it runs on an older version of EUI and as far as I'm concerned it also runs on an older security update, so flashing a CN-based ROM with gapps would be ideal in most cases,
Thanks for the replies, I guess Cuoco92 is the best custom rom to choose from in your opinion?

If you're looking for a rom that's stable and runs EUI, I would definitely recommend Cuoco92.

I would try official linage, Resurrection remix, MIUI rom. Once you get your bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed you can try any of them. I really hated eui stock rom. Also with h2o you might have to go to a store or call them to have them add your IMEI Sim slot for service.

Sound and camera issues on rr and linage. I mean everything works and buttery smooth. Antutu 150,000 score on rr. I'm on Miui8 7.4.2.4 now I really like how smooth it is. No sound issues. Pretty stable. Kind of similar to eui. It's a a port not official. Android 6. But really like it a. Lot. Kind of hard to get it working the first time. Small eui just lags to much for me.
Crazy fast LTE and I'm on metro pcs.

Upgrading MIUI 9 to MIUI 10 on an International Mi Pad 4

Hi!
Before attempting anything I wanted to ask this here:
I have a non-rooted, completely stock Mi Pad 4 bought from Gearbest. It is the international version (Model name: M1806D9W) that came with Google Apps, already with english language, etc. It currently runs MIUI Global 9.6 | Stable 9.6.7.0.0(ODJCNFD) (Android 8.1.0 OPM1.171019.019)
I read online that MIUI 10 should be available for global versions which I think mine is? But yet system updates tell me there are no updates available.
So here's my question: What is the simplest most straightforward way to upgrade to MIUI 10?
I see I can download ROMs from threads here and other places online but I want to make 100% sure of which one should I get.
Bonus question: Any way of backuping everything so I don't have to re-install, reconfigure, re-place my apps icons, etc?
Thanks so much!
pretty sure the international version that your reseller claim is false.. there are no international version now.. they probably loaded an "international modified" rom .. highly recommend you to flash xiaomi EU rom already comes with prebuilt playstore if you ur bootloader is already unlocked. if not, flash official chinese miui 10 rom and they are many guides to get playstore on chinese rom as well.

Ok I see! So once I upgrade to MIUI 10 I will have OTA updates then?
This is the one I need right? https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-pad-4/how-to/rom-miui-10-xiaomi-eu-links-t3864882
Also is there any way of restoring my apps, settings, etc like it is on MIUI 9 right now? OR will I really need to start all over again?
EDIT: I don't believe my Mi Pad 4 is rooted. This seems like good instructions on how to root it and flash a new rom? https://en.miui.com/thread-3196420-1-1.html
Thanks so much!
i just flashed my mi pad 4 . It had the same rom, just modified rom to include the playstore,
The bootloader is already unlocked.
just boot to fast boot. volume key + power
flash twrp - i used twrp installer bat from here en.miui.com/thread-3196420-1-1.html
once boots twrp, then flash miui 10 - androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=281632
job done.

yeah the link is correct, with xiaomi Eu rom you can still get official updates, maybe just slight delay from official chinese stream. but that's the best support we have so far for international miui roms now. the check update seems to be quite buggy on xiaomi eu rom, sometime it downloads but fails on completion.. just try again.. 2nd try is the charm as always haha. if not you can download the rom and dirty flash no problem, i was on beta previously so maybe thats why.
highly recommend you to start from fresh.. migrating over apps may result in bug occurrence.
