Youtube.com and Youtube App not Working - Remix OS for PC

I install the Remix OS beta onto my Ascrock Ion 330(no dual boot) on an SSD. Got it working and I have install Play Store. Try using Google Chrome and Firefox that it takes me to m.youtube.com but the video just buffered the video doesn't play. Same thing with the Youtube app that keep getting the "there was a problem playing. Tab to retry" error. But for some reason Embed Youtube on some sites play the video on Chrome and Firefox. Another thing is that most of my video(mkv, avi, mp4) doesn't even play. So is this have to do with the Nvidia Ion video isn't supported are is there a setting(s) that I need to change to have these working? Thanks.

Video will not play? Stock ROM

When surfing the web and clicking on a thumbnail to play a video I get a message that says "cannot play video" "sorry, this video cannot be played"
I guess it's a wmv, why won't that play?
No one knows?
You need to Download Flash 10.2....http://www.freewarelovers.com/android/app/adobe-flash-player
Scroll down and use version 10.2.156.12
to see full Youtube page....change your web page setting from tablet to the setting on the far right.....Laptop or whatever it says...( dont have my Gtab with me and cant remember the setting name....
Ive been using this and all videos load and play fine and Youtube looks great....

best player for Youtube

hi...im running stock rom....videos off web sites play fine with flashplayer 10.2 but youtube videos are a little jerky and staticy......any better way to play youtube vids?
Youtube app from the market would probably do the trick.
I think a youtube app is part of the stock rom...is the one in the app market different?
No, should be the same thing. But you had said videos from websites play fine, so I figured you were watching youtube from the website.
The app is just a dedicated app for youtube so it will be the best bet over the actual site.
if the youtube app doesnt play decent then its probably your connection.
ok gotcha.....thanks a lot
You might want to search the market for the YouTube app anyways - it might have an updated version from what you have installed.

Chrome opening some video embedded and some with YouTube player

Folks,
Am running 4.4.2 with beanstalk ROM. Question is, when watching videos from reddit links, some of the videos will open directly into the YouTube player, then some will open into the embedded chrome tab, where you have to click on play, then it opens the YouTube player and the video starts.
Is there a way of defaulting it to open just with the player, or is it the link that decides which way it opens?
Have tried clearing the defaults on the chrome and the YouTube player but it didn't seem to make any difference
Many thanks
Paul

With root and titanium backup, I just removed the youtube app that comes with stock.
After that I was able to reinstall youtoube from the playstore, choosing version 5.3
That version plays everything perfectly in HD.

Ok, thanks for the Info I'll check that
Update,
I don't know what is it but when I play video on that Youtube app (v5.3) when I choice HD (and I know in desktop is REAL HD) is streaming poor quality like I don't know... VGA maybe
from CC to HQ is like from very poor quality to poor quality so that was not my point. I want to play 720p or 1080p videos like on desktop
Strange, because I do get pretty good quality, definitely HD (by youtube standards).
Either install flash player and firefox, or dolphin browser and dolphin jetpack or install viral youtube app. Take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579795

The viral floating youtube app doesnt support 480p or 1080p because google splits the streams in to. 720p works flawless and it hasnt any great difference with 1080p.
I forgot to ask you what version of android you have, if you have 4.2 jelly bean then adobe's flash player should work with every browser that supports flash playback (like firefox or dolphin). If you re on 4.4 kitkat though you need the hacked flash player as google removed from 4.4 some critical files that the flash player needed.

Yes i have 4.4 CM11 , like I wroted up, the haked flash work like a charm, but I switch to Dolphin browser because Boat browser do not played all hd videos on YT like I was thinking, but Dolphin does. Overall I think that Boat is beter browser than dolphin, faster, lighter and smoother but is something for something, haked flash player support Dolphin and is somthing in that flash code because videos that I can't watch on Boat are smooth playable on Dolphin.

I use firefox as a browser and if i want to watch youtube videos i switch to dolphin. Dolphin is not bad at all, its the only browser at the moment which can play flash videos in 4.4 kitkat with satisfactory results and supports plugins just like firefox.
Try Og YouTube from XDA. It's a modified Youtube APK.
There you can select the resolution like you do in the webplayer.
I'm running it and it works fine.
The only issue is, that you can't log in with your Google account.

Give viral a try. See sig
Use Flashfox or Firefox and download an add-on called youtube center.
For now I using Dolphin with jetpack and moded fplayer, and YT works like on PC no problem with 720/1080p
I dont really get it , why from the first place google messed up the resolutions.
Seriously... Why is this even a problem. Videos from the YouTube app look terrible. Sucks that we have to find a workaround.

I downloaded an older version of YouTube, 4.4 something and it shows HD videos fine.

Google play movies and video won't play either. Says "Playback not supported on this device.". Play Music works. Also, while I can't play videos using mxplayer when I use the file manager and double click the video in the Movies folder it opens and plays with video player.
+5
32bit version cannot supported mxplayer

I am having the same problem with playing videos before. Chrome, UC Browser, Dolphin, Firefox forces to close whenever I try to play any video from any site.
Youtube app doesn't work either.
But luckily, I successfully fixed those problems by downloading the latest version of Flash Player for Android.
Try clearing Chrome's data if done installing Flash Player. Then head over to Youtube website to see if it works.
