Oxygen 2.2.1 update - OnePlus 2 General

Just got the notification just now. Seems like a small update with camera raw and some security stuff
Camera Raw
Better Bluetooth
Image corruption fixed
Security patches
Romanian support
Have you installed it. What's the feedback

I asked this yesterday in the OnePlus forums where some parts of the world have been getting it, but might as well ask it here as well ...
Does anyone have the full flashable zip instead of the incremental OTA?
Much thanks!

Hi everyone,
My name is Allen and I'm a project manager on the OxygenOS team. Nice meeting you all! Helen says Hi*
We've started rolling out OxygenOS 2.2.1 on the*OnePlus 2. Here's what's new in this update:
RAW support in OnePlus CameraBluetooth compatibility improvementUltra SIM compatibility improvementGMS 3.0 upgradeImprovement for roaming issuesFix for occasional image corruption issue in OnePlus CameraSecurity patch updateRomanian language support

I'm using Oneplus 2 with OOS full signed 2.2.0 from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/rom-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-roms-ota-t3209863
Does this update already rolled out on OTA? because i checked on the system updates and it said that i have the latest update on my phone.

Tried it for a bit. Back on CM13 again - no going back now, it's so much better.

do you mean we have to re-flash for 2.2.1 instead of getting it directly from OTA system update?

Well I just flashed the full version 2.2.0 and the ota 2.2.1 and of course SuperSU for the second time and it stuck. No idea why it didn't the first time.

CyanogenMod 11.0 (KitKat 4.4)
CM 12.0 (Lollipop 5.0)
CM 12.1 (Lollipop 5.1)
CM 13.0 (Marshmallow 6.0)

Guys I have a question I can't get raw files after updating to 2.2.1 what's the problem ...
How to enter camera settngs

Head to camera, open the side panel with photo video etc. You'll see a small gear on the bottom right for settings. Use that to get to photo size and change settings to RAW

Something I didn't expect to happen was after updated to 2.2.1, previous error after each boot that says BT mac empty isn't showing anymore. Which is good XD

any known probs via normal update process ?? on oxygen OS 2.2 and TWRP 3.0.0.2

All is well on my end. Try flashing again.

Is ok to install update if rooted? I am rooted and downloaded the ota update but before installing it warns me about potential issues if I continue installing.

Question answered billion and billion times on this forum. Why don't you used search function ?
You can't install OTA by downloading it through the OTA Center as the system has been modified with root. If you have TWRP, re-install (you can dirty flash if you are on Oxygen OS) the full rom and then directly the incremental update through TWRP. Then re-root and flash all you need (like Xposed if you want).
Go here too and thanks @Spannaa for his hard work in regrouping all OTA.

OxygenOS 3.5.5 (MM) OTA for OnePlus 2

Oneplus team has finally announced OxygenOS 3.5.5 (MM) OTA for OnePlus 2
Do not use the downgrade tool provided in the quote below, it is unstable and it destroys IMEI 2.
They are working on this bug.
Flashed OS 3.5.5 directly on H2OS 2.5 Beta by twrp recovery.
Everything works till now. i will report back soon.
Update 1 : Frequent network drops on both the sims.
Tony L. said:
We are starting the incremental roll-out of OxygenOS 3.5.5 for the OnePlus 2. Here are the changes for this build.
Here are some highlights:
Enabled VoLTE functionality for select carriers
Added App Lock
Added Battery Saving Mode ( Settings > Battery > More )
Added Gaming Mode ( Settings > Developer Options )
Added Additional Options for the Alert Slider.
Redesign of the Volume Adjustment Bar
Shelf Optimizations
Updated OxygenOS UI
Updated Interface and UI of the Clock app
Updated Android Security Patch Level to 1/12/16
Increased System Stability
General Bug Fixes
Important:
Clock, Calculator and Messages will be REPLACED by stock OnePlus apps if you have never updated the corresponding Google apps. But you can download these apps from Google in the Play Store even after the replacement.
Many of the phone settings will be restored to default after upgrading to 3.5.5, for instance device name, ring tones, accent colours and status bar battery indication will all be reverted to default settings.
After updating to 3.5.5, basic functions like WiFi connectivity, Network and Fingerprint might be affected if users flash back to 3.1.0. Users will have to use a special 3.1.0 downgrading version and flashing tool that will wipe all data from the phone. You should backup if you want to revert to older versions from 3.5.5 without losing data.
For those who were on previous versions for the OnePlus 2, we appreciate your active feedback and attempts to reach out to us. With your help, we have been able to better optimize and improve several key areas. Thank you for your patience and as always, we look forward to hearing your continued feedback in the bug reporting forum here: https://forums.oneplus.net/feedback/.
As this update will move you to the new Oxygen UI, please follow the link below for the UI/UX experience survey. We’d really appreciate a few minutes of your time, as it will help us make OxygenOS even better.
- Feedback on UI/UX: https://goo.gl/forms/EOd2tSdFJI2N6xfD3
As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we'll begin a broader rollout in a few days.
Your feedback is appreciated. We may not always be able to respond to every comment in the forums, but please be assured that we take your comments and feedback seriously. Hope you enjoy!

June 1st Security patch [EXTRACTED OTA]

Ok, so Motorola just released some days ago the so awaited June security patch. In the changelog, it does not mention any type of bug fix and in the time I've used it, I haven't noticed any magical change.
DOWNLOAD
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T7Y5LjqjYD2LCgOycuYBlyBziTa00YRZ/view?usp=drivesdk
You can install it via sideload, having the STOCK RECOVERY on your device. Once it's downloaded, move the file to wherever you have installed fastboot, then reboot the device in recovery and press the power button for seven seconds, then the volume up button and press both once again for a second. It should display the generic menu for installing an update, with the volume buttons go to "apply update with sideload" and select with power button.
After that, you have to open the CMD in the fastboot folder and type the following command:
Code:
adb sideload Blur_Version.27.21.26.albus.retail.en.US.zip
After all the stuff is done, you may reboot the device. First boot will take a little bit longer.
Oh, and btw,
YOU CANNOT HAVE ROOT AND/OR XPOSED FOR THIS PROCESS, OTHERWISE INSTALLATION WILL FAIL! Be sure to flash the complete Oreo firmware before the process.
ChEeRs :good:
Works fine. Haven't noticed any improvements yet. At least albus is on par with the latest security patch as Pixel series.
Can someone here please help me to root my z2 play on June security patch 2 ? Please

Hi,
What the hell is going on here...
For whom motorola releasing security patches?
We are really confused! We didnt see any new software until now? (Europe) Is this joke?
P.s. there is a new Oreo firmware (ops27.76-12-25) released by Motorola - we know ..but is this mean that it is only one? Or Motorola is preparing a new version for other regions for example europe? Somebody knows what's going on?
Regards
Need clarification
I already install OPS27.76-12-25 (April patch) through sideload from nougat.
Can i install this through sideload from my current rom?
I just received the June 1st Security patch via OTA. Channel retbr.

Hi,
What the hell is going on here...
Regards

This patch was released for Brazil and Latin America, and I don't think Motorola is going to release a special patch for each continent .
reteu-09 - updated without any problems, thx for submit
Just recieved OTA for this on RETEU. Nothing new so far.

That had always been there. It appears when you install various overlays and it's an Oreo feature in general, afaik.

You should've disabled the overlays before uninstalling the theme.

Whoa?!... What device version you have? I'm on 8.0 now (which doesn't have such beauty) but haven't EVER seen that when on Nougat! I've rather remained unupdated to 8.0 if so!

Really?... How many overlays required? I think I have up to 10, and no dark option appears in settings yet...

Thanks for your concern! I changed the link directly to the download page. :good:
Will installing this allow me to update future MIUI updates OTA or would I have to reflash every time?

Correct me if I'm wrong i think the moment you unlock your bootloader, there is no update will automatically notify or download on your device. every time there is an update you need to flash it manually.

It's significantly better. Haven't really noticed it at all, and that's how it should be.

So I got an updater notification, and it allowed me to download the newest one. When it went to install it came up with the Chinese TWRP, but I have the English skin of the Russian one. I don't read/speak mandarin so I didn't want to risk swiping, but I thought it was super interesting.

there is an option there to choose language including english one. but if the Russian is compatible then there is no need to change that.
