USB fast charge? - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, all.
I can't help but notice that when connected to my PC the phone barely charges. This was not the case with G4 that would charge quickly once the batt level was down below a certain %. Anyone knows if v10 supports usb fast charge? Any kernel hacks available to activate it?
Thanks.

[Q] Battery drain while AC loading using gps soft

Hi,
I wanted to use my international One X+ as a gps device in my car.
Connected my car charger, it indicated it was loading the battery using ac charger.
During usage of the tomtom gps software, I saw my battery percentage still dropping.
How is this possible, you can't use gps software like this if your battery is draining faster than a AC adapter can load it.
Anyone have a solution or experienced the same issue?

Sometimes it actually displays a message saying something like "the phone is using more power than the power supplied by the charger".
Possible solutions:
Buy a better charger (there are different qualities/types, like 300mA, 500mA, 1A, etc)
If you already have a good charger, install a kernel with "Fast Charge" and enable it (it enables the phone to charge at 1A rate, I think)
If you can't do any of those, just lower screen brightness and hope for the best

Anker IQ portable battery pack and Z5 charging problem

Hi guys I have a problem with my Z5C and a portable charger that can detect and send power when the usb is plugged in.
I plug my power bank to the phone and it detects that there is a phone connected so it started charging. After a couple of minutes and without a single movement in these two devices the phone screen lights up to indicate that it has started charging again. This very occasionally happens. I suspect it is because of the waterproof usb port that the z5c has because the other non-wp phones do not have this problem.
Have you guys experienced this? and if yes do you have any solutions

Not enough amperage. I gave up on all my external packs due to this reason. Even some of my 1 amp chargers don't put out enough to charge the phone. Install ampere and see what drainage you're getting St idle and then while charging. My idle is around 600ma and most external packs can barely push that.
Anker IQ can put out 2.4A without any problems.
I bought an Anker with quickcharge 3.0 and IQ (even thou I know the z5c can only support 2.0) and yet the speed is the same; abysmal.
I think the IQ doesn't work well with the waterproof usb port of my z5c. Any z5c owner who has an anker powerbank charger with IQ and has a different experience?
Battery and turn off problem
good people
I have the following problem: my cell phone is 50, 60 or 70 percent battery and suddenly it shows zero percent and turn off from nowhere.
What can it be ?
I can only connect it again if I put it in the charger.
Thank you very much.

Yes i have experienced something very similar. It took me a while to find the problem. My problem was the SD card, once removed everything started to work. I was having also issues with pc connectivity (it was working only with USB debug active and not with all usb cables) even after changing the usb port at Sony service..... Also i have found out that if i configure the card as internal storage (not as removable storage) it helped but is no longer available through USB connection to PC...

You can use a battery calibration tool (works best if you have root). For me it revived the battery. If this doesn't work it means your battery is almost dead. But you can buy a new one from Aliexpress for 10 dollars.

Fast charging stopped working, What would cause this?

I own a galaxy s6 edge plus that wont fast charge but will slow charge for some reason, My question is what internal part would cause fast charging to not work and could i fix it myself taking the phone apart? On my device data transfer also doesnt work, indicating a possible issue with the path between the USB port and the main logic board. I also wanna know could my phone in theory charge faster on a wireless fast charger if it is unable to fast charge via USB?

Wondering USB hub with PD charging now enable on S20 line

was looking into upgrading to S20 but wondering if issue with S8 and S9/note9 has been fix thx for Samsung finally getting PD certification
So back in the day you could get USB C hub and hookup note9/S9 with pass-through charging, but charging speed wasn't enough to keep up with battery drain
playing a game or HDMI out or using GPS split screen with other app while hookup to hub will slowly drain your device even while charging ... eventually it will die.
or say using DEX
question is for people who already bought device S20 tested a USB hub with PD delivery see if there no difference in charging speed while phone is using say SSD or Harddrive or USB camera
and are charge levels while doing this able to keep up with drain speed / actually gaining % in battery rather loosing.
or does the OTG function is what limit all this from charging at respectable level
I did this with the s20u with the charger they provided it took 2 hours to charge no drain issue
If it's taking 2 hours it's probably charging at 5V/0.5A (2.5W) USB charging. So long as you leave it alone and don't use your phone it will charge .... Not doing PD charging (15W) that's a disappointing guess OTG disables anytype of fast charging.
If they would only enable 5V/2.4A normal USB charging I'll be happy under OTG

Question Phone work only if connected to pc

My phone fell and now it turn off after a few minutes.
The strange thing is that it works well e doesn't turn off if it's connected to my notebook.
Instead it turns off if connected to the charger.
What is the difference and what could be the problem?
PS. I replaced the battery, but nothing changed
So it occurs to me that the USB port on the notebook gives a small charging current, and the charger gives as much as the phone demands.
It is likely that the battery charge controller on the phone is faulty in its high current acceptance mode.

Ok, but in both cases the battery charges normally and the phone also turn off with full charge battery if not connected to pc.
So, the problem can still be only the battery charge controller?
Anyway I buy it and try to change it
I wrote about the "battery charge controller" as a device on the phone, not the phone charger.
If you have a good quality charger, do not buy a new one.

Yes, I tought the battery charge controller was near the charge port, but I start thinking that it's in the motherboard
