Beelink Mini MX vs MXIII - G - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hi to all, i am trying to choose the best Android Box i can get for max 60$
So after a little research i found 2 candidates:
The Beelink Mini MX and the MXIII - G
Pros/Cons
CPU.
The Mini MX has the newest cpu/gpu (s905), so i supposed he will have more time before EOL comes, on the other hand the MXIII - G has an older cpu (s812) but stronger gpu (8core gpu vs 5core gpu )
I dont know who is the winner here....
RAM.
(Tie) Both are equipped with 2gb ram.
ROM.
The Mini MX has 16gb while the MXIII - G has 8gb. So winner is the Mini MX.
Operating.
(Tie?) Both has Android 5.1 but i don't know how well they operating...
Lan/Wifi.
Tie.
connections.
Both have 2 usb inputs but the MXIII - G have also 1 x OTG port and AV port. So the MXIII - G is the winner.
Support.
The older mxIII has more support (community) than the Mini MX. So the MXIII - G is the winner.
So the million dollar question: Which one ??? or no one ??

Hello! As first you forgot one big plus for the MiniMx (which in your link, is the new version V1), it has HDMI 2.0 connection bringing true 4k 60Hz video! It's newer CPU is a 64bit architecture one, as another plus!

Finally I bought the beelink m18. Same hardware with mini mx but alu case, otg port and external antenna

[Q] Any Problems with Tegra 2?

Hello everyone,
I am thinking about buying this great device (80 g9).
There are Websites (mostly german), saying that the Archos G9 has a Tegra 2 Chipset built in.
Is that right?
btw. I have the LG Optimus 2x as well, and therefore i have a really bad experience with Tegra 2 chipsets (missing NEON chip etc..)
thanks in advance

Minix NEO X8 and X8-H Amlogic S802 Quad Core TV BOX

Ok, MINIX finally release their next generation android tv box, named as NEO X8 and NEO X8-H.
Both of them are base in Amlogic chip. so video playback should be better than rockchip platform.
What's the difference between MINIX NEO X8 AND NEO X8H?
-The difference is the CPU (S802 VS S802-H)and Storage (8GB VS 16GB)
What is the difference between S802 and S802-H ?
-The only difference is the support for Dolby DTS video decoding .
S802 devices use XBMC or MX player S/W.to decoding the dolby and dts.
S802-H support hardware decoding dolby and dts ,which means no matter which video player you use, it will always have sound.
GeekBuying just release the presale on their site, you can get some great gift package when you place your order, here is the link:

It's use the amlogic s802 quad core chip, not rockchip, see my post
and their neo x9 will use the rk3288.
Is it worth waiting for the RK3288 (X9)?
I am waiting for the next gen to replace my old single core box. It isn't going to be a pressing matter until August.

Depends on yourself, there is too much unsure things about neo x9, without specification, without release date, and without price information.
Till now the NEO X8-H should be the best android media player.
Just updated the stock firmware for NEO X8-H, get it if you need:

My question was more about whether the RK3288 was superior to the S802-H
I can wait until about July, then my "situation" will require a decent android STB.
However, if the S802-H is just as good as the RK3288, then I may as well buy now and benefit from the purchase sooner rather than when it becomes necessary.

From the specification, the Rk3288 is better than the S802-H, however, you know, rockchip is always sucks on XBMC, you can't get hardware decoding well on rk3066 and rk3188. don't know if it will get better in RK3288.
for amlogic s802, the xbmc support is always better.
but as far as i know, there is also a new chip called S812 which will better than S802, but no more information about this s812 chip.

Hmmmm it's a hard choice.
I use Plex since I have a computer running 24/7 hosting all my media.
However, for certain live stream that only works on Flash (like Canada's CBC sports channel), it requires a good chipset. My Nexus 5 does fine, my overclocked TF300T does okay, but the single core STB I have just DIES.
Plex is very iffy on my single core STB but I imagine even the Minix Neo X7 would do just great with Plex at 20mbps.

MX4 telos or beelink s82 plus

beelink s82 plus is cheaper , yet come with no OTA and Gigabit Ethernet http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box/pp_142710.html Tronfy mx4 telos, using Amlogic s812 as well, shipped with OTA and Gigabit Ethernet, with a higher price http://www.tinydeal.com/tronfy-px2zuah-p-154403.html as far as i know Gigabit is counts highly in gaming and video streaming. so should i pay the extra money for Tronfy smart box?

TV Box with Amlogic S912

So far, how many tv box with Amlogic S912 can you find? which are you think of the best tv box with s912?
Hi,
I'd like to test the new S912 chip. I'm struggeling between Nexbox A1, T95Z Plus and R-Box Pro. It seems that the R-Box Pro is currently the only box, where you can choose between 2 GB and 3 GB Ram. So that's my favorite so far... I'm not sure, if you really have an advantage of the 1GB additional memory, but for only 8-10 USD/EUR more I would take the version with higher memory.
Regards,
Jim

[New]Vorke Z1 MINI PC Powered by Amlogic S912 3G DDR4/32GB eMMC

As the 3rd member of the Vorke family, the Vorke Z1 is going to be released in the near future. It will be loaded with Amlogic s912 chipset which is known for a maximum clock speed of up to 2.0GHz.
Android 6.0
Amlogic S912
KODI 17.0
4K [email protected]
HDR Support
Dolby Vision
3GB DDR4/32GB eMMC
802.11AC WIFI
Gigabit LAN
HDMI CEC
OTA Upgrade
The second half of 2016 had set to be an exciting time for MINI PC enthusiasts. Succeeding the VORKE V1 and V2 ultra compact MINI PCs, Vorke Z1 is unveiled to give us plenty to talk about – and these releases say a lot about what might be coming up in 2017.
Falied to be the first MINI PC that comes with DDR4 as RAM memory though, Vorke Z1 enjoys a performance ratio that is send to none. Why should we believe it`s going to do that here? Rather than the commonest MINI PC variant, it is designed to be the next generation TV box with much-anticipated specifications, Amlogic S912 chipset, 3GB/32GB storage, 4K video support, AC WIFI and Gigabit LAN, just to name a few.
First off, Vorke Z1 is an exquisite Android MINI PC processed by laser cutting for better durability and protection of the internal components. An external antenna is placed for stronger signal, despite which the 3GB higher data transfer DDR4 and 32GB eMMC are sure to make up for the deficiency in operation performance and space incurred in the 2GB DDR3L opponents, therefore users are privileged to enjoy movies or games without the least pressure.
Aside from the capability to compete with homogenous products, Vorke Z1 is also outfitted with the trendy Amogic S912 Quad Core processor featuring convincing processing performance and swift response. Teamed up with ARM-Mali T820MP3 GPU, the device is able to bring feature-rich complex graphics to mainstream consumers. The gadget also has its own external antenna which automatically boosts the signal receiving performance by 50%.
Pair Z1 with your compatible 4K UHD HDR TV, stream HDR-enabled movies and TV shows in spectacular 4K resolution from available 4K streaming apps. A powerful video decoder gives the best possible viewing experience with a pixel resolution quadruples that of Full HD. Vorke Z1 can handle VP9 [email protected] fps thanks to the Amlogic S912 processor, delivering vibrant, ultra-sharp image quality when you watch NBA live or play a racing game. This brings us to the final awesome feature of the Vorke Z1. In addition to the streaming options it offers, this particular device also delivers access to the Dolby @ Vision – stands out amongst the crowd of cropping-up technologies.
Design-wise, the Z1 is about as compact as its name would suggest. With a relatively small form factor of 130(5.1in)*109(4.3in)*249.4(9.4in), the Mini PC is basically a small gadget with an accompanying learning remote and its several connectivity ports at the side. These consist of 2 USB ports, a single HDMI 2.0 with CEC port, 1 MicroSD slot, 1 3.5mm MIC jack, 1 SPDIF, the power adapter and of course an Gigabit Ethernet connectivity slot. Users can also connect the it to the wider web via its built-in ac Wi-Fi capacity.
Overall, Vorke Z1 is more of a TV box than a soul mate. After a hectic day`s work, you get tired and would love to have some slight joy, it will come in handy. Power up, connect to your CEC enabled TV via HDMI, turn on Z1 and TV simultaneously with a single remote, connect WiFi or Ethernet, a world of wonder will be revealed in front of you.

I am thinking about buying the Vorke Z1 Android TV Box and I would like to know whether the SPDIF out supports Dolby and dts signals. (I would like to hook up the Vorke Z1 box with my sound system.) I can see in the specifications that it is "programmable with 7.1/5.1 down-mixing", but I am not sure what it exactly means. Do I have to install some applications to have dolby and dts sound, or does the Vorke Z1 support them right out of the box?
Best regards, Csanad Csikos
