Asus Zenwatch flashlight app package - Asus ZenWatch 2

Can someone help me with an issue I have with watch face I develop. I'm having interactive shortcut for Torch application which is part of the Android OS. It seems, however that Asus Zentwatch does not use Torch but rather different app - referred as Flashlight. Can anyone provide me with the package for this app as when users a pressing the interactive button to open Torch my app crashes.
Thanks!

[Q] [android app] Vibration Reminder - suggestions

Hi Guys,
I have created an android app for reminding users through vibrations at specific intervals. When we are travelling in bike or in meeting, classroom we cannot take the phone to check the time(or span of time). So before starting we can set the reminders to go off at regular intervals or at different custom intervals. We can also select the type of vibration like short or long.
I am going to release this app in play store. I have attached the apk file and few screenshots, please install the app and send your feedback. It will be very helpful if you tell me which operation is hard to access, bugs and any improvements that can be added to this app.
Also tell me any important things to do before releasing the app on play store.
Thanks,
Yuvaraj
Great concept, I'll give it a go!
Thank you for your efforts, the App is working good. It will be better if you add an option to change vibration level.
The App is working smoothly, without any force closes.
Wish you all the best

Thanks for your comment. I checked the Vibrator class it does not have any methods to control the vibration intensity.
If anyone knows how to control the vibration intensity, please share.
Vibration Intensity control
I searched and found a way to control vibration intensity using "Immersion Haptic SDK".
I implemented it in my app and it worked very well. I attached the modified apk now.
Reply your feedback guys.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SIII Assistive light widget as an application

Hi there.
I'm trying to find the best way of LED flashlight activation and ended up with a tought it should be enabled via double home button press. So Wanam Xposed module allows me to choose which application should be started once I pressed Home twice. Ok.
Here is my problem - I used to use a Tasker task that involved TeslaLED plugin to trigger the flash. Then I found the Assistive light widget, which is a way faster in comparison with TeslaLED. It's virtually instant. But a widget is not the way I like to trigger the flash. It's just not convenient. I thought I found the solution when I found some japanese app called Widget to Shortcut, but it hangs during the widget analysis.
So I'm looking for a way to get an application that simply will be triggering the flash the way the Assistive Light does. Instantly. The best approach is to have the same codebase or activity or intent that implements it (not sure what term is correct here).
And yes, I already tried the hidden Settings activity that allows to use VolUp to enable the flashlight. But it seems not stable to me. First - it stops working if the phone in the deep sleep mode (at least, I guess it's the reason). So, if my phone is intact for a few minutes, I can't use VolUp to fire the light up. And other thing I worried about - I found that this hidden activity somehow prevents the phone from sleeping in certain conditions and that noticeably affected the uptime of my Galaxy SIII.
Plus, I read here that somebody said the same widget on S4 has a lower light level of LED and this was made intentionally. The guy was upset, but here I see the utility - is it possible to choose how bright the LED level could be, in particular for Samsung Galaxy SIII? That would be awesome if I could switch between light levels for a flashlight, just like in real hardware flashlights!
Does anybody knows an answer to either of my questions?
Thanks!
Regards,
Eugene

[APP] GoPro HERO4 Android Wear app

Hi.
I made an app for android wear watches to control the HERO4 cameras. It's not a traditional android wear app that you can access from your wear launcher or from Start
It creates two notifications, that you swipe left to reveal controls (like the gmail app has to reply email) one of the notifications changes the mode and the other starts/stop recording or hi light tag a moment.
Tested on a lg g watch, nexus 6 (phone needs to be on and connected to the GoPro via WiFi and smartwatch via bt) and a GoPro HERO4 Black.
Why I didn't make a traditional app?
I made the app, when skiing with it but discovered that it was a pain everytime I wanted to take a picture or record a new video I had to open the app, wait until it reconnects and because the watch sleeps the app closed. A notification with controls is way better, just wake your watch, swipe down, swipe left. No "waiting for connection" or "connection lost"
The app needs to be simple and easy to control. I tried to add the basic commands to the app. No more commands other wise the app will be a mess.
How to:
Download the app, connect your GoPro via WiFi to your phone and check that you can see the live preview using the official GoPro app, then open the weargopro app, swipe right the notification to keep it and check your watch for the two notifications. Swipe left to reveal controls.

Will try this! Thanks!
Thanks for this app! I tried your other app CamControl but it didn't work properly and I didn't need all the features it offered. This one however works perfectly!
Thanks again,

Google search from the nav bar

I f*&#ing hate this stock rom! If anyone could tell me how, or if there is a way by disabling a service, to stop the google search popping up when you swipe past the home button or hold it for a second. Aargh!
Install Google Now Launcher or Nova.
Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
I have the pro version of nova installed. This has no options to disable this feature
Install Tasker for example. Then if You swipe the home button the popup will show with apps to choose - then choose Tasker (use always) that could do just nothing.
Now if You swipe home button only white circle would appear - that would do nothing.
I should have pointed out that my intention is to stop this circle popping up, so i can use the slimpie controls and disable the navbar completely. I am afraid I am struggling to come to terms with just how limited a stock rom is. Sure I can get root via the sony dev website but at this point I think all the fancy algorithms for camera performance would be removed, as well as throttling for thermal control.
When you Google Search, you find https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hk.sld.SwipeLaunchDisabler
The Irony
I'm using this app to fast lock the screen when I swipe up the home button
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
otherwise you can use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dynamicg.homebuttonlauncher
to have more options respect to open google search
Just FYI:
- This is called "Swype up for Google Now" in old Nexus manuals.
- Now in Android 6.0 is replaced for "Google Now on tap".
I don't really know how to disable it.... Maybe trying another Launcher.
Thanks for your input. however the home button launcher will not achieve my goal, and the swipelauncher disabler is comically pointless! It is less a disable function, more so it just doesn't launch my browser, choosing instead to flash the screen at me! It is clear that I will not be sated until custom roms come about with some CM or AOSP goodness. Please hurry devs, I want to love this phone...
I'm a bit late to the party and I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but I've just been disabling some apps on my z5c and one of them was the Google Now app (I think it was called). Because the bubble popping up was from the Google now app, it has stopped appearing ever since. Hope to have helped.
Disable the Google App
Yep remove Google Now or I just tried this and works well (you cannot prevent the animation that will still persists, but the action gets revoked the way you have requested.)

Using Shortcut Key For Camera Shutter

It seemed to me to be a massive oversight that the shortcut key could only be used to open apps & not perform actions within apps such as use as a camera shutter key.
With a bit of playing around with tasker, auto input & tasker app factory I now have something that works for me as a camera shutter key. This obviously opens up many other possibilities.
My question is has anyone else tried anything similar & would anyone mind trying the attached app? I'm still learning with tasker so I'd like to know if the created app would function as a standalone for people who don't have tasker or autoinput installed.
To test once installed select the app as the shortcut key setting then open the stock camera app & press the shortcut key.
Thanks in advance to anyone that trys it.

Wow, that's really good. It could be fantastic using that key to use Now on tap without the virtual navigation bar
Edit: I've just try it with the camera app and is not working to me
Thanks for the feedback. I've not actually used the now on tap function yet but unless Elephone change how you can assign the button this seems like the best method for making it do what you want. Tasker's really versatile but I'm still learning so I know a lot of the stuff I do is a bit clunky. Personally I want it to be multi function so when the camera's open it's the shutter button but when it's not then I can use it for media control i.e. press once for pause, twice for skip track, 3 times for back track.

That probably means you do require the autoinput plugin then. I've been playing around with now on tap & have managed to get it to work when you click on the app button I created but when it is assigned to the shortcut key it doesn't. It definitely needs the autoinput plugin with the method I've used. Going to make some posts in Tasker threads when I get chance to see if I can get suggestions on better ways to do it.

Did this move on any further? I wanted to give it a go, but the Google drive link isn't working.
As you say, massive oversight on the part of Elephone. I hadn't even thought of trying to use tasker.

Unfortunately not. The issue with exporting tasker things to an app is to install it on another phone you require all of the appropriate plugins used within the task. It's certainly possible to do things with the shortcut key using tasker but I found most of the solutions convoluted for such a simple result so gave up on it.
Thanks for the reply. It's a shame to hear it was so convoluted to achieve, but thanks for trying.
I've been using Camera Zoom FX, if you set the exposure to +3 it gives comparable results to the stock camera app. The advantage of this app is that you can use the volume rocker as a hardware button to take pictures via an optional setting. There is a free version of this app as well I think, but I don't know its limitations. I think the functionality exists in some other camera apps too, including Google Camera, the thing is that most apps seem to have a noticeable reduction in quality vs the stock app.
I know it's not quite the result you were aiming for, but I hope that the information is of some use to somebody.
