Hello, i am trying to run Remix OS for PC Beta on my Trekstor Wintron 7 tablet.
It is based on an Intel Atom Z3735G with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal disk space.
It comes with Windows 10 Home preinstalled but i think with Remix OS can be faster.
It works quite good out of the box but there are few hardware problems.
First of all the touch screen which is apparently working but it is not calibrated properly.
Keeping the tablet in portrait mode if i touch the upper part of the screen it is ok, but when i touch the lower part the device "clicks" about 3cm above the finger.
Also the capacitive button "Start" seems to work, but when i press it, it clicks in another point on the screen, below the lower limit of the touchable area
Is there any way to calibrate it?

I have the Cube I10BW and have the same problem. The X axis is flipped and the space where the touch actually works is a small square in the middle of the screen.
Have this issue also on the surftab wintron 7.0.
Also a big issue is that it can only run the x64 version installed with a 32 bit bootloader (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/winapp-android-x86-installer-uefi-t3222483)
due to the uefi requirements (no bios) and shortcomings (being only 32-bit). The device obviously lacks ram to handle a 64-bit OS and freezes if any more demanding app is started.
Are there any ways to run the legacy x86 version of remixos on devices with a 32-bit only uefi?
How can the touch screen be calibrated?

I have tried android-x86 (4.4, 5.1, 6.0) all have the same problem with the touch, DPI and sensors orientation 90° CCW. The resolution of screen is 1024×600 on 7" tablet.

for mtk tablets who have problems on x or y inverted axis just download firmware then open items.ini with notepad and search inside touchpanel , you will find config for your touch on x and y axis there and need to play with 1 or 0 in front of axis example if tabled in landscape you have x axis inverted need to change the later in front of "0touchpanel.y.reverse" to "1touchpanel.y.reverse" or vs and same on y axis if inverted then save file and flash just items.ini with flashtool. if you cant find in flashtool the option to flash item.ini then open scatter file and search item.ini inside and change from "false" to "true" and save thrn open again sp flash tool and will be there item.ini. after flash reboot tab and all done. just play with those 1 and 0 and every time you make change flash that file and try and if dsnt work make sure change back value and change other axis and flash again.

I am using a cube iwork 8 tablet and want to use remix os, a few problems tho.
1: touch screen wont work
2: battery camera etc wont work either.
BUT i do have the origional android rom installler files for this tabet (it was duel boot indows and android but now its just windows but i can make it run any 32 bit uefi os)
if you can get the drivers from my android rom it may work! just i dont know how to do it lol.

So yesterday I tried installing Remix OS on my HP Pavilion 17, (Core i5-4200M) and a HD 8000M card from AMD.
I intalled the 64 bit version using the HDD installer provided with the ISO, and when done, I select the partition, after some text the RemixOS logo flashes for let's say 3 minutes, then it goes to a black screen witha mouse that I can use with my trackpad, and that goes away when I click a key on the keyboard. If I leave it there for let's say 5 minutes, the fan will start to go crazy. normal AndroidX86 works fine booting from USB. and my laptop is UEFI, so the 32 bit doesn't work either. making the USB installer with both the RemiXos tool and Rufus didn't help. after the remix os logo I am thrown into a black screen with a mouse. any help? thanks in advance.!
It's probably due to the amd card, remix does not play well with non intel graphics cards atm(they're trying to get it to work). The march 1st build was a lot more stable for me but it autoupdates so couldn't stay there. You could try to add nouveau.modeset=0 i915.modeset=1 to the menu.lst file(inside remixos folder) under kernel to force it to use the intel integrated.

Hey. I tried using all kinds of parameters, nomodeset, nomodeset vga 7**, what you said, but everything stops working. now I just get to a black screen, with a stuck white dash at the top left. strange thing is, only thing that works is the brightness support on the keyboard!
I have tried creating a USB RAM-drive, and booting RemixOS (for PC/64) from it on my Cherry Trail (Teclast X16 Power) tablet. It gets to the screen that says "System initializing, please wait...". but never gets past that.
As mentioned, my Teclast X16 tablet is an Intel "Cherry Trail" (Z8700) dual-boot device, that can boot into either Android 5.1 or Windows10. Unfortunately the Android build that comes with it is not very good. (IE: Though the tablet has a GPS sensor, it doesn't work in Android. There are also a few other oddities about the Teclast Android build.)
It is possible that RemixOS is trying to make use of the Android data partition that is on the tablet's internal SSD (instead of using the USB RAM-Drive that RemixOS is on), and being that it already has data on it from the Android OS that came installed on the tablet, maybe it causes problems during boot.
I wanted to just try out RemixOS on this device. A few of the things that I really want to know is...
- Will the tablet touch screen work with RemixOS, or would I have to always use a mouse & keyboard?
- Will the GPS sensor work with RemixOS?
I was also looking to see if there was a way that I could boot RemixOS (for PC) in a VirtualBox VM, but I have not had any success getting that to work. Has anyone been able to run it in a VM successfully?

I just got my hands on a Pipo W1S (x5 z8300 Cherry Trail) and tried a couple of times to boot up Remix OS from a thumb drive with no luck so far.
I have been trying to install RemixOS 3 on my Intel Cherry Trail tablet, but it is not going well. (Note: Tablet is a Teclast X16 Power, which has an X8700 CPU, and uses the standard Cherry Trail chipset for almost all features.)
First issue is that the RemixOS installer seems to only want to create a boot menu entry in the BCD for Remix OS if there is only 1 other entry in it. (I have tried installing it on a few Windows systems, and if there is already more than 1 BCD entry, the installer doesn't seem to create one.) In the case of Windows 10 (which is currently on my Cherry Trail tablet), Windows creates multiple boot menu entries (regular boot, debug/safe mode, recovery, ...) during it's install process, so there will always be more than 1.
I finally tried using a BCD editor to remove all entries except the standard boot, and I did get the Remix OS installer to create an entry. Even then, it seemed to corrupt the BCD so that the Metro style touchscreen menu did not work (only text mode), and I had to do a Windows recovery operation to get it to boot again.
When I did get the Tablet to boot, the Wifi didn't wok. (This seemed strange because the tablet uses a RealTec RTL8723BS chip for wireless LAN, and the RealTec LAN chips are pretty standard in PCs these days. ) Because I couldn't get the tablet to connect to my network, I wasnt able to try many of the other features.
NOTE: I was able to get RemixOS 3 to install on my Dell XPS12 Ultrabook PC/Tablet. That system is running Windows 8.1 (instead of Windows 10), and most of the RemixOS features seemed to work OK (including Wifi). I did miss the fact that RemixOS doesn't seem to support screen rotation (like other Android ROMs), and the RemixOS also doesn't support home screen widgets. (That seems like a big over-sight to me.)
I am a big fan of Android, and I do like the general direction that the RemixOS development is going in. I would suggest that the development team work on adding support for screen rotation, and widgets. I also think it would be great if they worked on a start menu that is somewhat more like the Windows 10 style start menu that PheonixOS came up with. All-in-all... good stuff. I just think they have a little bit further to go on the development.
Screen rotation was there previously (in 2.x); I haven't figured how to enable on 3.x yet.
Widgets are there - turn of the file manager launcher in settings - or disable both built-in launchers and install a custom one

I managed to get it Installed to a hard drive partition, I had all kinds of issues with that but I've had issues with the 32bit efi on most linux distros. The boot up is still a bit buggy.
I copied the USB to the hard drive after installing to the USB the live ISO. I booted the partition through the bios (might have changed some grub option to get it to boot). I then changed the Grub option to load the install. I installed to the same drive and left it NTFS made a 3gb data.img. After messing around with the file system and grub, I got that booting. Install/updates apps but not the system update, that hangs at 20%.
I've had nothing but problems with this 32bit EFI/64bit systems. I'm trying to get some Linux running fairly nice so I can remove Win 10 , I don't see that happening
I've had luck with Ubuntu Zesty Linuxium build but only to the point of it being a Laptop.
On Remix the screen stays in Portrait and it don't fill the screen, its centered. No Bluetooth, No sound but I did see a link here for possible fix for that. No touch Screen. No battery ready, stays at 100%.
On the plus side the Docking keyboard works and wifi.
It looks like a nice GUI, its the first time I've looked at it.
I assume I'm missing a lot Kernel modules and firmware? Most of what I read looks like old info on these X86 Tablets. Is there anything new to help set them up, what works on them and what don't? I'd like to start with display and sound. Move to touch. Mostly all I care about and a working battery meter.

I managed to boot 32 bit legacy install on a baytrail 2-in-1 tablet with intel atom z37355 ( Notion Ink Cain 10) alongside windows 10. Though the processor supports x64 as it says, the installation always failed, but 32 bit installation succeeded ( to my surprise). I booted up with fully functional touchscreen, wifi, detachable keyboard,wireless usb mouse etc.
Bugs:
No autorotate ( a third party seems to allow me to manually rotate though).
Power and volume hardware buttons dont work ( no volume either).
System seems to freeze if left alone after a while ( however, playstore downloads that were stuck are resumable after force shutdown are start).
Battery indicator stuck at 100% ( am trying to calibrate using some random battery app, but i really doubt it would work)
I'm gonna install kernel aduitor and check if the system freeze after a while can be fixed ( some guy said changing kernel governer to interactive would fix it) later.
All above bugs are known i guess. Just putting it in here so someone with baytrail tablet googles it can see it in one place
