Xperia Z3V Flashtool Error Message - Xperia Z3v General

After flashing my LG G2 to many roms, I decided to do the same with my Z3V.
When i try to flash the Z3V using Flashtool i have been getting different errors.
Currently i have the Android version of 4.4.4 Build number- 23.0.E.1.44
What i want to do is to Flash it to the ship out version so i can root it and install 5.1.1
Here are the error messages i have been getting:
Error 1. First message i got was the drivers. Went in to Flashtool/drivers and install every single one of them. Seems to me working.
Error 2. the device does not recognize the command flashtool
Error 3. A device attached to the system is not functioning.
I have somehow went through these errors and got stuck on the very last one, which is:
Error 4. Error parsing TA file. Skipping
Any ideas?

Age you using Windows 10? Disable drivers signature and that should help.

I was going at this for about an hour, and I finally got it to work. I experimented with a million different things. Let me tell you what I did that finally randomly happened to work:
1. Windows 7
2. Flashtool version 0.9.18.6 (it's an older version)
3. Device identified as an Xperia Z3 (D6603) (This doesn't matter. Choose the Z3 as it's the closest)
4. Installed ALL of the drivers in the /drivers folder
5. Proceeded to run the flashtool a total of 7 times. NOTE: UNCHECK THE CHECKBOXES FOR WIPE IN THE TOP-RIGHT
6. TRY MULTIPLE TIMES. It failed for me on 6 attempts... but the 7th attempt randomly succeeded and flashed me to 5.1.1.
Keep trying! It will work eventually, I promise! Good luck!:good:

[Q] Flash Sola back to .10 (Drivers trouble)

Hello,

I found i need to flash it back from .54 to .10 using flashtool
Although, i am not being able to do it as I get a error message regarding drivers
What I do is I install flashtool on c:
I go to the drivers folder and execute Flashtool-drivers.exe and I install the Sola Drivers as well as the Flashboot and Fastboot drivers.
I open flashboot, select the .10 kernel, press flash, it tells me to turn off my sola and run it at flash mode (Volume down + USB) and then it gives me Drivers error message...

I saw the Error in processHeader before, not sure if the same number, and it was also driver issue I think.
Can you post the whole log?

I already got that.
that was just because i was running on flashloader 64, i switched for normal flashloader and it ran.
I think now i have done the whole thing for rooting the phone, though... Using Es File Explorer, I go to root there and it's still nothing there.
When i flashed back from the .10 to .54 it was written 08/011/2013 19:11:27 - INFO - Loader : S1_Root_3065 - Version : R5E003 / Bootloader status : ROOTABLE
so everything should have been ok?
:S
Thanks guys
Now I flash the phone, everything works.
I flash back to .10.
I try to root and get an error message like.
Could not restore. reconnect external memory and try again
I read it would be because the phone wasnt flashed on .10 but i do that...
What can it be?
Thanks

Problems after update Xperia M2 to Kitkat 4.4.2

Well, flashing the phone was succesfull. But now I have no chance to unlock the bootloader after *#*#7378423#*#* it says "Bootloader Unlock: No" on the other hand he don´t accept the USB drivers on the Build 18.3.C.0.37, installed over Android SDK Manager and Sony PC Companion. I become two unknown devices and a connection via MTP so i can´t try it a second time ?? any ideas.
Update: After some trys ... after *#*#7378423#*#* I don´t become information, I only can "Reset Customizacion", so I give it a nother try and Xperia Flashing Tool says

Z3V flash problem

So my friend tried to flash the latest rom 23.1.D0.509 he said it would straight fail. He tried a different download, it failed somewhere flashing it. now the phone doesn't boot up. It will go into recovery (stock) and flash mode. when I try to flash the old or new ftf it gives me this erro "19/048/2015 20:48:37 - ERROR - Can't read a byte value" I'm now stuck. any ideas?
After banging my head against the wall a few times. i managed to flash back to 4.4, then it took to 5.0 I have no idea what happened. glad its fixed. i did check resetnvram to get rid of the " ERROR - Next to unit should be the size on 4 digits" after that went just fine
How did you get it to flash anything? I tried for a few hours to flash the leaked firmware using the ftf file and the Xperia flash tool but the tool doesn't have the z3v as an option what is the workaround to that I'm on stock firmware not rooted

I had issues with flashtool as well. Had the Z3 device driver, flashmode and fastboot drivers installed. Phone was in usb debugging mode and set to allow installation from unknown sources. Still had issues with it saying "Processing of loader.sin finished with errors." .... "Error flashing. Aborted"
I read that someone had success with using an older version of flashtool, so I installed 9.18.4 and tried again.
I got the "Drivers need to be installed for connected device." Reinstalled those three drivers mentioned above and tried again.
Got the loader.sin error again, along with "Cannot identify your device." with a prompt to select a device from the list ( I usually chose Z3 (D6603) up until now).
BUT this time I hit cancel and was told "You can only flash devices."
I unplugged my phone, reloaded the ftf, hit flash and it began flashing!
Hope this helps.

Yesterday, I have been playing around with my phone (Z3V) and I was able to flash it to latest leak (23.1.D.0.509) and had no issues. Prior, Flashtool that I downloaded from flashtool.net, the latest version seemed to me that it will not put loader.sin into firmware content. With newest flashtool, the flashing might not work. If you need a detailed guide how to get to latest leak for your phone (z3v) then I will write it for you. I can only tell you how to do it without a root since I was not planning on rooting my device.
P.S. : I will make a video guide on how to flash z3v without root to 23.1.D.0.509 in few days.
Please do I don't see an official update any time soon

Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP321 hard-bricked - help needed

Dear XDA-developers!
I have a big problem with my SGP321 with locked bootloader.
What I did to get into it:
1. I had two SGP321 tablets (with different serial numbers, let's call them SN1 and SN2).
2. In TWRP (installed from TabZ-lockeddualrecovery2.8.22-RELEASE.installer.zip) I made backups from SN1 to ext-sdcard.
3. I installed the same TWRP to SN2, then renamed TWRP/SN1 folder on ext-sdcard to TWRP/SN2. (it was very wrong decision!!!! do not repeat my mistake!!!)
4. I restored TWRP/SN2 to SN2 with all default settings (so restored all SN1's partitions /boot, /ta, /system, /cache, /data to SN2 ). (it was very wrong decision!!!! do not repeat my mistake!!!)
For now I have only SN2 in hard-bricked state.

Does it have JTAG and UART connector (as described on Sony Mobile Developer World in "Access UART ports" article)?
What do you recommend to unbrick my tablet?

* It blinks red on charge but does not consume current.
* It connects to PC only in flashmode, so fastboot mode is not available.
* Windows 8.1 PC detects it as SOMC Flash Device (USB VID 0x0fce, USB PID 0xadde).
* FlashTool reports the following:

* I have no Trim Area backup for it. But I have this backup for SN1.
* S1tool 30.05.2014 does not detect my tablet.
Sony service says that I need motherboard replacement (but it is out of stock).

Wrong section, This is for Xperia Z only (the phone not the tablet!).
Anyway, since your tablet can connect in flashmode, can you find a Twrp flashable that can be flashed through flashtool, or maybe a modified ftf so it can do the trick to be able to boot into twrp?

Thank you for reply.
I have FTF and zip files. When I try to flash ftf with FlashTool I got the same result (see 3 red lines in the post above).

As I said earlier, you are on the wrong section of the forum. This is dedicated part of the forum for the Xperia Z (the phone) and not the Xperia Tablet Z. So you should post this on the right section if you want to get some help.
Anyway, I checked a bit for you and please take a look at this thread, maybe it can help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849170
Also, from what I remember from a different tablet (Kindle HDX), or any device that needs its Primary Partitions fixed you need to put the device in Qualcomm Download mode (9008) and have the correct files in order to flash. The problem stands here because Qualcomm (the maker of the cpu and board) distributes these files only to OEMs and the only way to have them is for someone to leak them. Maybe what I just wrote doesn't apply to your case but is nice to know... and btw somebody posted this for the Xperia Ultra Z and the Z1, you can take a look ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646405 ) but remember: DO NOT TRY THIS ON YOUR DEVICE because it has different Cpu and it is not compatible with those devices.

[SOLVED] error in flashing sgp621 to downgrade to kittkat

I have used the instruction to come back to kittkat. The FTF bundle is SGP621_23.0.1.A.0.167_CE.ftf and flashtool ver. 0.9.18.6
but when the flashing starts I got error, here is the log:
22/027/2016 01:27:18 - INFO - Devices sync finished.
22/027/2016 01:27:23 - INFO - Device disconnected
22/027/2016 01:27:42 - ERROR - root : this bundle is not valid
the first error "bundle not valid" I have ignored, as it was adviced on other forum and then connected the tablet in flashing mode (vol-) and quickly after that I got:
22/027/2016 01:27:42 - INFO - Selected Bundle for Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact (SGP621). FW release : 23.0.1.A.0.167. Customization : CE

dude I only know that I had successfully downgraded from LP to KK just from flashtool..(the best I did for this tablet) check if your ftf is corrupted.it happened also to me 2 times in my other mobile devices..
how can I check if it is corrupted ?
That was my fault. I only choose the "generic drive" after running flastool-drivers.exe -
the driver specific for Z3 Compact Tablet was needed (was at the end of the list)
Nevertheles, after first attempt the Flashtool did not start flashing but enter into MTP mode and install
the drivers for the tablet, as I suppose.
Only after the second attempt it started flashing.
Now is ok, I have KK again.
