[App] [Free] [4.1+] Secret Voice Recorder - The Best Apps You've Never Heard of

Secret Voice Recorder is the voice recorder application which let users record audio/voice stealthily by pressing the power button 3 times. All you need to do is to press the power button 3 times within 1.5 seconds to start/stop recording even if your mobile lock screen is locked. You needn't even unlock the mobile. I am the developer of the application. If you need any assistance, please comment below so that I can help with that. Your feedbacks, suggestions and criticism are most welcome.
You can get it at Google play in https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miragestack.secret.voice.recorder

Yes. For listening to power button press, the app has to run in the background. But, it won't take any significant battery power of your mobile.

is that a serious question?
I use it to change brightness and enable/disable bluetooth when getting into my car.
oops double post.
You do know all of that is available in the drop down tray. Including brightness. Just slide your finger across the tray left and right

not if it's on auto
plus, why not use it.
Maybe the OP doesn't feel like sliding down the notification bar.
To turn on BT I can
1) Hit the button on the power widget on my home screen
or
2) slide down notificiation, hit the BT icon, which opens up the BT settings, click enable BT... then hit back to return to my homescreen.
^ apologies, it just doesn't seem "simple clean" to me.....
"simple clean" is referring to the wallpaper... not the widgets/apps setup
eww, toooo many "samsung" on this phone already. =P
I kind of like it.
+1 to frankencat.
I love the samsung aspect to this phone.

Is there any way to add another button to the phone option, the power button menu that is. I just saw on my friends HTC that they had a restart button as well.

Thanks in advance!
I downloaded boot controol... it's a widget, free on the market, you have to be rooted, really usefull, try it
If you're on froyo head over to themes section and flash the feeling the style 2.2 theme. If gingerbread, most themes there have "extended power menu mod".

I tried the tutorial but it was too complicated for me, i've been using android for around 2-3weeks and without any precoding experience. Is it possible that you could help me out if I uploaded the required files?
Thanks in advance!

Changing Button Function

My power button has been acting kind of wonky as of late and its starting to make me a bit nervous since it also wakes the phone up. I'm wondering if there is a way to change the camcorder button on the side of the phone to the power/unlock button? I've searched around to find an answer but it doesn't seem like this issue has arisen before.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
I'm also rooted and using energyROM
On EnergyRom you can use the Energy tweaks to set the volume to wake...its in the lockscreen section.

Live and Die on this day....
the camcorder button does wake the phone up lol
yes, I've had an issue in the past and used button remapper, works on the amaze and does exactly what you are looking for.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464
Some roms don't let you wake on camcorder or camera button, but even if they do you have to wake in camera then back out of it, so at least this way you've got what you need
thanks so much! i was in a similar situation and this worked perfectly! the camcorder can easily be launched from the camera!

EDIT: actually it does power the phone on... best solution ever!

[APP][SHARE] Crescendo Homescreen - A Simple Homescreen

Note : I'm just sharing the work of the XDA Member. This app was tested on this device and it was working fine. Here's a little introduction by him :
alobo said:
Hey XDA,
I've got a new app, and I would love some help in testing it and finding any bugs!
Crescendo Launcher is a homescreen replacement that makes it easier for seniors (or kids!) to use an Android phone or tablet.
Features:
NetManage: Crescendo can automatically toggle mobile data or WiFi if an app requires it. (Data is turned off after the screen is turned off)
Simple Apps: Crescendo comes with several simplified apps, including an easy-to-use web browser and flashlight.
Simple Settings: One click access to Ringer, WiFi and Mobile Data settings
Help Central: A comprehensive help center that teaches users how to use their device. It's fully illustrated!
App Drawer: An accessible app drawer with big icons.
You can grab it in the Play Store. (I've also attached an APK for your convenience.)
Please let me know what you think!

here is my problem:
just a couple of minutes ago i wanted to install an apk - the install button does not work! before that i wanted to grand root access to another app - grant button did not work. i just was not able to push them because they seemed to be kind of disabled.
i have oos 2.2.0 flashed, the phone is rooted and i installed blu_spark kernel. thank you very much in advance for your help. i would be very glad if we found a solution. i hope i do not have to flash again... almost had everything set up..

Dude, no offense but this is like seriously the most idiotic question you could ask, the screen filter is covering those buttons, disable it then try again, and no i don't know a way to continue using screen filter without impending buttons functionality.
