i have a RK3188 with the Malaysk ROM. Now i updated Malaysk ROM and try to install TOMTOM GO. Everythings fine, but when i try to start tomtom it says, no connection to the internet. @wlan and @3G. is there any solution, any app that can allow tomtom go to the internet. all other apps works fine. @Malaysk
It worked for me with version 1.8.0 (not 1.9 or 1.8.2), after installing / uninstall / install again like 3-4 times
Btw, I tried that today with the latest rom. I had the same problem as you and found the solution by chance
but in the store is only the newest version. and is live traffic working? and there must be another solution.

Tomtom will not be able to connect to the Internet with any ROM with the newest kernel. Malaysk said when this first came up that the developers broke something in the kernel. I think that until now there is no solution except taking the older ROM. The newer Booroondook ROMs have the same problem.
I also contacted TomTom, but they have no solution for this problem... I hope someone can figure it out.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I was wrong.
I got the first day after some trials the "welcome screen" working instead of the "error of no internet".
I realized, I just copied the .db file that was originally in the copy of the folder that I made before installing the new ROM version, just in case something like this happened.
The problem is, now it keeps on waiting on the screen where it should show the menu. So far I can click on the introduction screens, choose if I want to send the information to Tomtom or not and in the next screen, it keeps on "thinking" the whole time.
I guess we will have no solution for this, my only solution it was to copy the original config.db file into the newly created tomtomgo folder but it doesn't seem to work propperly, although it is true, that step from the internet missing is already gone and I can access the initial screens of the application.
For me, going back to the version of 9th of september, best working for my unit.
All is strange. Because I was able to install TomTom Go on a rom with fuse. I know for sure because when i went to a fuse rom i had to do a full wipe. And i have a working TomTom Go on my device now. And from first fuse rom i only updated roms till latest version without wipe. But i installed TomTom Go 1.8.2 from a apk because i first make a Back-up before i wiped.

For me I tried these days and it was only "half" working as I explained before, only when I copied that .db file
Android 5.0 is not so far for jy units. I hope that some problems gone. I must restart my unit 2-3x until 3G is working. And the tomtom problem.
it works allready with Malaysk (RK3188) on Pumpkin HU, but now with my new HU Joying doesn´t work. Hope we find a solution soon

It is the first version and yes, for me it works...
After installation, updated the rom as the messages appeared and still works. That is how is working for me.

That is what I do, too. Booroondook has a new base ROM out with new OTA updates. THAT Rom does not work (newer kernel).
With the latest just released Booroondook Rom Tomtom Go works perfectly.
Where can i find latest Boorondook Rom? Is it for all rk's?

It is for all RKs and resolutions. You download the .zip, decompress it, then run the ROM Builder application (start_eng.bat) to create the ROM for your specific RK/resolution.

It is not as debloated as ik4ev2 rom. The next version will let the user pick and choose through the aroma installer which samsung and google apps they want to keep and which ones they do not want.

Nope, it was about sources and how old they are.
Original kernel is just for everyone as it was with the rom and compatible
Cyber's kernel is build of an older source then ND1
ND1 kernel source is only available in the NA version atm, were as we could ask Samsung to release a worldwide or European version of it.
As asked "Will this be the next build of You? That would be very nice."
that would mean are you going to build the next from an older release.
As for samsung build release names ND1 comes after NAE just like in the alfabet, the D comes after A.

If I understood it well, it is usacwifi.
Can I use it for a Eurepean wifi (Dufch), I doubt this.
Second: I searched for a way to delete Aroma if I want to go back to a rom without Aroma. I searched for it, cannot find it.
What must be done to remove it and go back to normal recovery. (I use TWRP)?
Aroma is only interface that is used with installing. It isn't installed on the device.
About the usacwifi, didn't have time yet to try building and flashing it, or build it without the usa part in the command.

I did a jump and installed Your rom.
All went flawless and the system is up and running.
I have one problem. The same I had with the rom of frst4ever. Titanium backup restored my data, after starting the app I get fc. This is for all the apps with data restored from Titanium backup. Has anybody a solution for this problem. I need my data from the apps.

I have found the solution to migrate the data. I did this with "my backup". It asks a reboot. I did so.
05 june 2014
I also tried 1 app+data with TB and rebooted without starting the app. This was also a success.

I just recently got my first smart watch which is newly released in August by a Shenzhen company. Then started digging around in the web to learn and search SW for this watch as it is shipped with almost nothing but the HW. Fortunately I get here and learned a lot, also discovered that my watch has almost same HW as Omate and other clones in the market, the only difference is Andoid 4.4.2 system, bluetooth 4.0 LE and IP67 waterproof they advertized. Once people from that company also said Omate is their ODM product and now this is their 2nd generation with its own brand. I may not believe it 100% but given so many Omate clones in the market, it is no surprise at least they have relations.
Their customer service is even poorer than Omate, as they are busy attending shows etc and give vague promise of ongoing SW development, I can't wait but to seek help from forums.
So my help needed is: if there is any ROOT method available for this, is existing Omate root method working?
Till now I didn't really enjoyed any 4.4.2 system advantage over 4.2. Maybe I just don't know enough or maybe it is just a fake information in system settings?
Waterproof wise it does equipped with weird star type screw so that no one can open the back without special tool. that may be an indication of its IP67 capability? Maybe, but I do see report of water damage report and it could be water came in from the sim card slot because of not tightened screw or the poor quality water seal rubber.
Another minor improvement may be he charging cable, it is a magnetic head stick to the back of the watch, not as stable as Omate's little case but more convenient.

the backup ROM link and tool download link are invalid or not accessible for me. I tried to backup the ROM by following the link on chinaphonearena.com/forum/Thread-MTK6592-MTK6582-MTK6589-MTK6577-MTK6575-MTK6572-ADB-PDAnet-VCOM-Drivers but met problem.
I downloaded PDAnet_4150.exe to install ADB driver on my win7 64, it prompts: an existing andoid USB driver exists, and I selected yes to reinstall it, then choose other type device, turn on the USB debug mode, then connect the watch, the installer shows: installing USB driver success, setting up network driver success, but popped up the box saying installer fail to open device, when I click ok, uninstalling PDAnet starts. i read another post that actually when ADB driver is installed, PDAnet installation is not needed. so I opened mtkdroidtools_253, the connection is in blue rather than in green. phone information can be displayed successfully, but it can't be ROOTed, so not able to backup the ROM. The above backup ROM tutorial link in chinaphonearena also said I need a ROOTed phone to backup, so I am stuck.

Also, enable USB debugging and developer options. If you have chrome remote desktop I can help you. ALSO it's possible to do what is called a backup by read back through SP Flash tool.

GPS is pretty good, better than my mobile phone.
How to test BTLE?
Almost managed to dump the ROM, but failed in the last step and need to debug again. The hardest part is how I can open the back to disconnect the battery, the watch seems to be locked now. But the strange screw.........

Hello everybody.
While crawling GitHub for some useful modifications, I saw a commit pointing to Moto X having Qualcomm-optimized Dalvik binaries and libs, that most other distributors didn't included, as they don't use the neccesary compiler settings by Qualcomm, including CyanogenMod.
So I took Moto's system Image and extracted those files and put them into a flashable Zip file for you to enjoy
Only tested on stock 44S but should work on any 4.4.4 rom (cm/aosp).
TL;DR > These files will make your One fly using Dalvik, result is clearly noticable and for my feeling even quicker than ART!

It speeds up JIT-compiling by using more Qualcomm-optimized libs and binaries. (Dalvik only, no need to run on ART anymore!)
Known Issues:
- Sensors not working for some users (fixed)

i thought, too.. but i've flashed them anyways and it feels much snappier... might be a placebo, but feel free to test yourself. these files should be safe to use on any 4.4.4 rom, but only confirmed working on 11s 44s as i didn't wanted to flash other roms just for testing it

yes, it would unroot the one. i have a flashable zip that enables the integrated superuser (just net to do "setprop persist.sys.root_access=3" within terminal as root to make the superuser settings visible), it even revives itself after an update so it's good to use.

Ok, there are three ways to get a backup
try to take a look here for the first two : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730031
the third: install the TWRP recovery by Sp Flash Tool then backup From recovery .
After installing the recovery you can root installing Chainfire superSU.zip http://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip

it would be really good to get the proper specs for the watch - the advert list some things that seem to contradict each other.
Can you let us have the info from the watch itself?
I would also be nervous about putting a custom ROM on it - you would lose the sensors; you already have KK on it, so why bother?
However, if you can get a dump as rik81 says, it might help port it onto the TS and allow our sensors to work

Ok, Ive also got one of these now.
The only way I could root it was with KingoRoot, be aware - it takes ages, but eventually works.
This unit is more like the TS than the Ironman, so there may be a good chance of backporting to the TS, with working sensors afterall.
I'll see if I can get a full backup for +kuronosan and others to have a look at.

This is somewhere between a TS and Ironman......the PCB and user interface look more like the original TS, as does the physical form factor, but its nearly as heavy as the Ironman, as its made of steel.
Note that the Recovery partition doesnt seem to work

All that remains is to cross your fingers hoping that this kernel is compatible with our units .
Tonight I 'll give a look also possibly only in creating zip file for my ROM with the new kernel and libraries.

Can someone please post the dumped backup for Develop X1. I have asked for this for about a week now with no response.

unfortunately, i dont saw any change log so i have no idea what are the improvements
Xiaomi is known for not releasing changelogs for new FW versions (except the usual "bug fixes and improvements"), so we can only guess what has been changed.. Maybe someone will notice what's new. For me everything seems to be working fine as before

I found these two files in the data folder of Mi Fit. Per the content it seems to be FW 10.0.5.66 and corresponding resource file. Mi Fit installs FW first and then resources, I would attempt the same approach with N&F, though I'm not sure if it'll work. You might need to extract them and rename to ".bin". Flash at your own risk

New Mi Fit app udpate brought new FW, but it also removed all custom watch faces from Mi Fit and animated watch faces aren't animated anymore. Damn you Xiaomi.
Edit: Watch faces can be still uploaded with N&F app and animations are working as well (just some watch faces need updated json file, the minimum animation speed is "4" now).

No custom firmware at the moment and it is being said that there is a very low chance that there will be any due to security mechanism put in place by Xiaomi. But who knows..
New version 1.0.6.16 (after update of Mi Fit to 4.0.9). Not sure what's new, still no custom watch faces in Mi Fit and animated watch faces still having issues.
Since Update to 4.0.9 Google Sync (google fit) is not working anymore for me. Can someone confirm this?
And in settings "add account" google fit is missing...
I don't use Google Sync in Mi Fit, but button is there and I can add Google account for sync. Do you by any chance have Chinese version? I've read somewhere that those have issues with Google fit integration.
I have a xiaomi mi 9 with "getapps"-app from xiaomi and this updates the mifit app now to 4.0.9 - maybe in chinese version, so google sync is gone.
I installed now from google play store 4.0.9 and its back again...
Crazy :/
I deactivate now auto-updates in getapps and hope this will not happen again.

Ah, now I recall that this is a well known issue. Only Mi Fit from Google Play store supports Google Fit. Probably some licensing thing or whatnot Glad that you solved it.

I have a mi band 4 Chinese edition... Now in india mi band 4 has launched.. how i change its Chinese firmware to indian firmware...... That when i rest my mi band 4 it can't show the Chinese language.... And bengali message which comes in phone mi band 4 not show this how to fix it?
