With correct bootloader and modem yes the f and the I hardware wise are exactly the same just the I version has more channels unlocked in the modem and requires a different modem and bootloader

I flashed this rom and till now there are no problems (FC).. But I don't flash over wiped system.. But it workes fine at my S2.. Maybe others have the problems you had with the rom.. So we can find a solution for this..
I flashed also the latest Dorimanx Kernel (today release).

Unless you properly ping pong root, it will void your Knox Warranty permanently, thats a bug if you like to call it that way. And you won't be able to ever use Samsung Pay.

I rooted with cf autoroot, then loaded twrp on and I'm using our SimplTeams SimplRom and SimplKernel

I haven't had success using otg in twrp recovery... was actually wondering the same. As backing up to a flash drive is more convenient since it's almost 6 Gb to backup a stock Rom. ..
