This is a slim based rom with lot of goodies added and awesomeness of RRO Layers. This rom is for people who want to stick to stability+performance accompanied with a slim base. I am the mantainer for this rom. This rom is well tested before release so expect a major stability

Well i had issue's and was really pissed off but now that i know that it was a mistake by you and you're even acknowledging it,there's no problem at all,in fact nice work making it official and i already have a lot of ROM's to update anyway,i even wanted for someone to do it,I hadn't updated tipsy after it's initial release due to focussing on other ROM's,i was just upset that you didn't ask knowing that i already had it done before.But no problem now and again Nice work done. :good:
BTW tip for next time,know all the ROM's for our device before you start to work on it.

Haven't worked on this Saurabh, may be i will look into this soon.
@premaca Please update buglist if any,like one mentioned above no 3g on second sim,I really want to flash this ROM but with limited data pack I have to be sure of stability.

Well most of the custom ROMs have this, it will not be an issue unless you want to use 4g on second sim, shift to Sim1 otherwise.
For other parts, you can flash it as daily driver and no major issues.

@premaca I have just flashed latest build I experienced random reboots during initial setup and then at startup.For now it looks stable.
Yas sensor doesn't get detected,on aosp caf thread it is being reported that ubertc toolchain up and above 4.8 creates problem for detection of yas sensor.
I'm using 2014818 redmi 2 prime,2gb ram variant.
Is there an update for Tesla
@premaca I think there is something wrong with the latest kumajaya source's,the phone reboots when there is an incoming call,happened in my AICP rom too,can you confirm this on TIPSY,if that is the case then i'll be sure it has something to do with the kumajaya's source's.

download layers manager from playstore...and thst will provide you themes...
and for gallery fc use google photos...no fc in that...

Layers Manager is already included in the ROM, you can use Layers Themes from the Play Store.
I did not see FC on Gallery and TB, will check and fix in the next build.

Gallery working here when opened through drawer. there in nova launcher camera app is giving this error just remove that.

Oo. Okay. Do not use the Icons on the Nova Launcher, they come default with the launcher and do not point to the actual implemented apps. Replace those icons with the actual ones in the drawer.

It has not any preferences for root, though, that's why there's link in OP.
Is this ROM have In-call low volume issue like Omni @ChronoMonochrome ? Do I have to apply your fix for this ROM also ?

Normally you should not need to, as low incall volume fix already applied. However, it would be better if someone who does calls often would confirn or refute it, as I have found some changes in sources that may interfere with fix and not sure if it's working.

thank you for your great work chrono, i love slimrom. i try this rom today, and removed some not needed apk from installation zip file, like audio fx, browser etc before flashing, and then no sound at all at my phone? this because i remove audio fx or not? cause when using cm12, whenever i removed audio fx, sound still work properly
UDPATE: i try to clear dalvik & cache, and fix permission through twrp, sound working again
other thing is:
-sim toolkit not displayed in app drawer
-a little bit laggy, etc when open app drawer with apex launcher or switching app
-no performance control yet?
Root options are in developer options, pushing build number repeteadly ?

No need to worry about that - if I spending time on this, then I don't do it for nothing. I build it most for myself - but ofc wanted to share with everyone who are interested in that.

There is no problem with deleting audio fx, maybe try to reflash ROM and delete some things more carefully.

I don't know if it's just for me or not, but I noticed worse performance of the runtime and math operations on latest builds - all benchmarks has showed the low results I have ever seen(and it's not only for first run). I've uploaded new build - seems that this bug was fixed.

I suggest to check ROM + Kernel flags to make sure that u don't break IEEE or ISO rules/specifications for math functions
After that u'll notice best Benchmarks results

What's AOSP ?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.

@mistercheese, are the CAF optimizations only applied to the kernel, or to the ROM itself too? I'd install this ROM with aCC kernel, but if the optimizations are only in kernel's code, this makes no sense, 'cause I'll change it and so lose all the optimizations.

The kernel is just cm's CAF kernel and the optimizations is in the ROM. So flashing acc kernel can be a huge difference. I am also working on a kernel but that takes time.

All right. If I've understood that right, the ROM itself is optimized too. So, flashing it with another kernel doesn't mean that I'll lose alle the optimizations made by CAF. Thanks, I'll install this rom right now.

This ROM has a kernel without force encrypt.
Besides that, yes, this already seems like a great ROM. Only thing that didn't work for me was restoring apps on setup. Using OpenGapps. Is this working for anyone else?

Some settings not working fully like status bar settings. LED is able to be enabled but no color change and blink options working. Little sluggish compared to purenexus 6.0 but thats to be expected at this stage of its development. It's not a daily driver FOR ME but i can see it easily being one for others.

Google is your best friend in this situation... this is development thread so please post on it only if you have somthing related to the rom development or if you have found not already known bug... if the selinux is not permissive there is certainly a reason for it...

I alreday googled. Only solution i found was flashing a kernel thats already set to permissive but cant find a kernel compatible with oreo.

Dialer sluggish
The dialer is sluggish, its like lagging and the voice cut out after a few seconds, hanging/dialing always take a few more second than usual. For the rest everything seems pretty fonctionnal. (I've tried asop dialer and Google dialer same issue).

Workarounds & Tips
Avoiding data encryption issues, please backup your current ROM to SDCARD or your PC.
If you are facing decryption issue after flashing this ROM, and previous using the Stock ROM, please make sure you have used "FORMAT DATA" on TWRP and wipe Data/System/Cache.
If you are using Custom Kernel or Mods and causing issues, i will not be supporting this.
If you are facing microphone issue while recording videos or audios, please WIPE Cache/Dalvik Cache from TWRP.

Okay so i have been using it for a few mins now and the issues I am having is the updater doesn't work, it has no internet connection. Otherwise the rom is pretty nice

No OTA update supported yet, so updater is doing nothing, it's normal not a bug.
Another thing i noticed is that messages spams the notification that the process is running when u open it. is there a way to fix that?

I think there is a bug as when using speaker in call the phone seems to use to wrong microphone " from the 4 microphones " resulting in poor sound and very low to be heard by the other party , i didn't face it in the stock firmware

A week or two i came across a rom on your androidhostfile site. The rom in question is Candy 9. Is the rom finalized, and able to be used for regular usage? or is it still bugged. king regards

I switched to RR from the Lineage ROM (both 9.0). Back on Lineage, long press of the home button used to bring up Google Assistant. Now on RR, it only opens the Google app (discover card with search). The Assistant does work when I say OK Google, Google is set as the default assistant app, everything seems to be set up well. How can I make the Assistant pop up from the bottom of the screen after the long press like on Lineage? RR seems better for my needs but I miss this one option. Thanks in advance!

Just a test build, no plan for it now.
