Moto Actions "Lift for Moto Voice" for Moto X 2014 - X 2014 Themes and Apps

Hi everyone,
Attached is a modified version of Moto Actions that allows you to use the "Lift for Moto Voice" action, this will allow you to automatically open Moto Voice when you lift your phone to your ear.
Instructions
Download the modified MotoActions.apk to your phone
Open your system\priv-app\MotoActions folder and rename the original MotoActions.apk to MotoActions.apk.bak
Move the downloaded MotoActions.apk to the system\priv-app\MotoActions folder
Edit the permissions to be 0644 (rw-r---r---)
Reboot phone and then open Moto
Click the Stars, then Actions, then you should see "Lift for Moto Voice"
Enable it and click learn more (it's a fast move from your waist to your ear BTW)
Enjoy the new action previously only released for 2015 and Verizon Moto X phones
If you found this useful, please think about donating, as it will help me bring more cool features to our phone
_

I've added some detailed Instructions for those having trouble...

Thanx mate, it works pretty well.

I'm using Root Explorer, which is part of ROM Toolbox Pro, you shouldn't need exactly this in order to do the steps listed above though, just a file explorer with root access to edit permissions...

Is it need root my device????

Yes, you could also edit the play store version (2.00.13), but that would be more prone to changing, this version (2.00.14) is later than the play store version, so it wont be overwritten unless there is a 2.00.15

Is it only working with rooted stock ROM? Or with custom ROMs also...

Just stock considering custom roms don't have the moto features.

I've followed the steps with my XT1097 and I don't see the option within Moto Actions.

Ah, thank you! I had saved this thread and it didn't even occur to me to search for a MM variation. I'll send my feedback on the other thread.

I have a Moto X 2014 rooted and running stock 5.1 Lollipop based rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/development/img-xt1096-victara-mofo-image-root-t3100145.) Debloated too if that matters.
I followed your instructions. The only thing that seems different is my permissions for the MotoActions.apk is 644 (-rw-r--r--). Instead of 0644 (rw-r---r---). Not sure if that difference means anything.
Here are some screenshots of the apk and its permissions from within Solid Explorer.
Do you know what's going on? Can I try flashing via TWRP using your instructions from the Marshmallow post even though I'm running Lollipop?

dont working, please helpme... i try to install all versions of this apk but only appears 5 actions from factory...

[Q] X10 on/off Widgets (as on the Arc)

Hi All,
I just bought a new X10 and I'm missing the on/off widgets (Gps, wifi, ...) as they exist on the Arc.
Is it possible to download them or copy them from the Arc to the X10?
Thanks,
Jef

Yes, those look to be the right ones
Try this from Nocturnal REVOLUTION X10 rom.
Thanks Spidernone.
Do I need to be rooted to install this? I tried to install this with Linda File Manager and ES File explorer while allowing non Market apps.
Sorry for these 'silly' questions but I'm a newbie in these matters.

Probably works for other phones also.

Yes, I need the LGPhone.apk. The LG Contacts.apk that you ported from G2 its working on P760, but its force closing when you want to switch to dialpad. I think it will work only with the LGPhone.apk from G2.
LGPhone.apk is not relative with dialpad.
Post/upload a logcat to check it.

I already deleted your LGContacts.apk, soo I cant make a logcat, but I had force closing when i tried to switch to dialpad and/or to call history from contacts.apk. I was thinking its the LGPhone.apk.
Now, I think its something related with com.lge.systemservice.core.jar
Off topic: you can port the dialpad from G2?
Tanks
Its NOT relative to LGPhone.apk. I can "port" this but will NOT work with your phone (either mine).
Dialpad comes with LGContacts.apk, that's why you see it in first post.
com.lge.systemservice.core.jar is more relative with your problem.
I can not help more with out logs. You have an other phone!
[If you want, you can try to replace the relative *.png icons from LGContacts.apk (from G2) to yours *contacts*.apk]
It's possible to port it to P760?

Yes, as long as P760 has 4.1, is possible to port it.
BUT, I don't have this phone and can NOT test it, so you MUST give me logs! This is the only way possible.
Can you tell me how to do this, i have root, adb etc.

I didn´t - I have installed a number of bootanimations, so pretty confident I know, what I am doing. Copied it to system/media and set proper permisions.. after restart phone would bootloop continously with com.android.phone crashing continously.
I had to boot into TWRP to delete the bootanimation.zip via filebrowser and phone worked normal again.. so something incompatible with VANIR rom at least.

Has someone tried this on CM11? Imho, all Droid boot animations are way cooler than...pretty much anything else Especially the bland cm11 one.

I cannot uninstall system apps even after I ROOTED my android phone

Hi everyone
I managed to root my android phone yesterday (I checked with 2 root-checker apps). Now I'm having trouble removing pre-installed apps like Twitter and Yellow Pages which I never use. I tried few uninstall apps, and after granting them permission from SuperUS, they perform an uninstall (some apps do it forcefully) and give a message that the apps were deleted. The apps are not removed from my application list but when I click on it to run, they give an error message. But when I restart my phone, those apps I deleted start working again as if nothing happened.
What I'm I doing wrong? My phone is HTC One M8, android.
Thank you for any help

Yes, I did that before I rooted it.
I also tried using a File Explorer (rooted version) to uninstall those system app but couldn't find System files. I found a file called Root, but nothing is in the file.

I just tried it now but same problem. I select twitter to delete. It gives me a message that uninstall was successful. I check to see if it's listed on my home page, and it is although when I click on it, it gives an error message. However after restarting the phone, twitter somehow recovers and works again!!! Really strange. It's as if it wasn't uninstalled to begin with.

You need to remove read / write protection. You can do this most easily by flashing a modded kernel (boot.img) through fastboot. Alternatively, there's custom roms that have this already or you can mod a kernel module. There's a guide in the General section of your phone's forum. If you go that route, make sure that the module is compatible with the update you're on as the guide might be outdated.
