[Q] USB Host mode?

I have an otg cable I used to use on my motorola Xoom.. does the VZ note 2 support usb host?

Yes it does
I cant seem to get it working. When I plug a flash drive nothing happens.. do i need to enable it? Do I need to use a different kernel?

It's probably the cable you're using. There are 5 pin and 8 pin OTG cables. I'm guessing you have the 5 pin that works on Moto devices and not on Sammy devices.
I got my $1.98 OTG off eBay and it works fine.
Does it have to be 8 pin? Found what appears to be a 5pin on amazon that works with the s3.. should this work?

Vrse compatible?

Can someone who has the Redmi 3, check in the Google Play Store if they can install the vrse app. I'm looking for a cheap handset to demo that app. I can side load it on the Redmi Note 2 but no videos play, so I'm hoping that's to do with the Mediatek chip, a cheaper snapdragon might work?

If you read some of the comment for the app, it shows that no videos issues is happened in S6 edge too, so i don't think its a processor issue, more like bugs in the app it self.
Thanks. I didn't do that tbh. as I had sideloaded the apk as it was marked not compatible with the RN2. I'm just interested if vrse can be installed on the R3, could you check please as I don't have that device and am looking for a cheap handset. Thanks.

Where does it say that?
I've looked at that link and the S9 isn't mentioned.
Look at the connector - if it's Micro USB it is completely the wrong headset.View attachment 4481306
