Moto E Won't Turn On! - Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i let the battery on my Moto E die, and when i went to charge it, the notification led will only blink and then i wouldn't turn on.
It also does not respond to holding power button and holding power + vol down
Any help is appreciated

Sorry, your moto e may be dead. No fastboot and let blink is sign of hard bricked moto e which cannot be unbricked by any method(till date).
My moto e hard bricked itself few days ago and all I could get was blinking led and no fastboot. If you are able to fix your moto e then please reply how. May the method work for other owners of a dead moto e.

White notification light?

My razr has a white notifcation light on when it is plugged in, but will not turn on. Any ideas? I know before this happened my battery was very low and it was extremely hot. Just got this phone 2 days ago....frustrated.
Happens the same to my RAZR: today I was experimenting some WebTop modifications, so I've shut down the RAZR and forgot to power it down before putting it into my LapDock.
I've seen a white notification LED and it hasn't powered up automatically: I've had to put it off of the LapDock and power it up with the power button.
I think that's normal for now, let's wait for a new bootloader... but anyway I don't think this will prevent us to charge the device if the battery is completely discharged.
That happens with all(?) GB moto phones when it's not on a high enough voltage to complete the booting sequence completely. I've seen it plenty of times when charging my dead DROID X on my laptop
Is there a way?
Is there a way to get my droid RAZR XT912 to charge. I have the white light up at the top, its rooted but i cant get seem to get it to boot up, charger or flash it. i can get into recovery mode but the battery is too low. any one with any ideas..thanks
Try this
Connect Razr to wall charger
vol up+vol down+power
In bootmenu navigate to bp tools (vol down) 'en enter (vol up)
Razr should present the moto logo and start charging. Wait patiently 'till charge is complete (100%)
Cheers

[Q] what if phone hangs

I am eager to buy MOTO E ; but want to know if I root moto e and lets say it hangs ; then in worst case for other phones we can remove battery and simply reboot
but in case of moto e we cant do that
so does that mean that once i root and lets say i install some custom rom which hangs later ; my moto e will become useless??
this is the only thing which is holding me back frm buying moto e

Not at all.
Keep pressing the Power button for 10 seconds or so and it will reboot.
Or else press and hold volume down button + Power key until it reboots.

That's how it is supposed to be. All you can do is be more careful and gentle with it. The only original part of my mote E is the back cover and the central plastic/metallic frame that holds the components together. Battery new (Cost 1500INR, got on discount for 850INR). Motherboard new (Free replacement, costs about 4000INR). Entire display assembly new (1300 INR). Original stuff left = the plastics :silly:

[Q] Moto E not charging, continous LED glow when charger connected

Hello guys, I am having a Moto E 1st Gen. I got up one morning and my phone's battery was at 3%. I started using it but before the battery went down to 1%, it got shut down automatically. I don't know what happened. Earlier I could use my phone up till 1% battery. Then I connected it to charging. The strange thing is that, after sometime, I saw its notification LED glowing continuously. This was very strange and it never happened before. I took the charger out and the LED went off. I tried to power it on but nothing happened. Now situation is it is not able to power on & whenver i connect the charger, its LED starts glowing continously..... Don't know what to do. This never happened to me before in any of my phone's PLEASE HELP

clear cache from recovery and try again
It needs some time to reach optimum charge percentage for boot. Maybe you already figured that out. Well, good luck.

1. First Charge your device to optimum level (50% Minimum).
2. Then Press Vol Down and Hold it, now without releasing it, press and hold Power button too.
3. Now release both the keys.
4. You will enter into fastboot screen.
5. Now you have to connect to PC.
6. Select Recovery.
7. Now motorola logo will be shown, press and hold vol up for 15 seconds and after 15 seconds press Power once.
8. Now you will enter recovery mode, now you can release Vol up key.
9. Now select Factory Reset.
10. After reboot, your device will work without any problem.
I just solved the same problem to my friend's phone!!
Ignore the stupid comments.

Just try to understand what the actual problem is, and stop posting stupid stuff. This has nothing to do with clearing cache, and recovery. How stupid are you people?
Anyway, it just a problem of over discharged battery when the battery drops below the 3.8Volts, which is the minimum voltage. When the battery reaches less than 0%, the phone will not allow it to turn on, as it is harmful for the battery and it might burst. So for security reasons, the phone stops the battery from charging. I faced the same problem many times. Try jump starting the battery anyway, or consider replacing the battery. Go to a electrician , and them him what the problem is. He will fix it. It is advisable, to never let the battery fall below 10 %. Below 0 % , the internal resistance of the battery increases, and sometimes, a direct DC charge , which is above 3.8 V , might bring the battery up to 0 %. This is a very difficult thing to fix.
I am facing the same problem too on my moto g 4 plus after using my power bank(power ace) I used it continuously for 3hours yesterday and i kept charging full night but morning i saw just 54%. In the evening again i used power bank for 3 hours. I didn't find what is the solution!! I charged it for few hours but it is not crossing 15%. I am scare about how to deal. I request the experts to help us.

Don't use moto charger, use any other charger for now
you solved this problem ? here is same problem
This happend with me once, I just let my phone keep charging overnight and it worked the next day, this has nothing to do with cache and recovery, your battery is discharged way too low, it might take 2-3 hours to charge 1 percent
