[Q] Google Latitude not auto updating

Ever since I installed the latest version of Google Maps my location does not get updated automatically. It would go for hours without updating my location. My location services are working fine. Both my GPS and wireless network option boxes are ticked.
Is anyone else having this problem? And does anyone have a fix for this?
sometimes happens maybe it's cause where you are located
I have an app called fast fix which kinda helped me a lot.
this is it

[Q] Wifi Problem. Cannot download but i can browse

I can connect and browse the internet on my Xperia x10 mini wifi fine without problems but when i try to download apps they say they are starting to download but nothing happens. It doesn't appear in the notification.
I am on android 2.1.
I deleted all my apps and then reset to factory settings, but still it won't work.
The day before this happened i downloaded tTorrent Lite and some other apps using wifi without problems. The next day i tried to use tTorrent to download some music but it wouldn't started downloading. So then i tried to download something off the market and that also wouldn't start.
So what can i do to fix this?
If someone could help me with this problem that would be greatly appreciated
Thanks a lot
Ryan
Did you manually configure your router? Maybe your router filters your I.P address.
Try one of the ff:
try wiping your cache via xRecovery.
login to your google talk first. when you've managed to login do a relog. then see what happens.
I have the same problem. Can´t even log in to google talk service.
It became suddenly. 2days ago everything was fine. Now I can´t update my apps etc.
Will try that xrecovery if I manage to download it from google but is there any other option? without downloading another apps?
try these solution, but didn't try this as a solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699651&page=2
when I encountered this problem, I figured that someone filtered their router with a specific mac address, I noticed it because when I tried downloading on my office it stalls on starting download but when I'm at home I can download w/o problems lol.
anyways, I'll try to find the other solution I find helpful when I experienced this.
EDIT: Found another. Well, these sites gave me ideas why we're encountering this kind of bug. But TAKE NOTE that I didn't do these as a solution to the problem. Mine just got OK when I got home. as explained in the bold part

http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/bin/static.py?page=known_issues.cs
Still not working
I cannot sign in to Google talk for some reason.
I don't have wifi at home so i was using internet at the library. Do you think they would/could have filtered my phone so i just couldn't download, but can browse?
I can download off my laptop there and had done on my phone a day before this all happen. Plus i tried it at another library also.
Where is xRecovery?
Thanks a lot for your help

Play market error 403

Oke so this started sins market updated/version 3.7.13(jellybean).
But i also have the solution to it.
The problem only occurs when your on WI-FI.
So if your facing this problem, get off WI-FI.
Dont have mobile internet? well than your screwed and have to wait for an update.
So google only needs to fix the market so we can download with WI-FI again.

Hey!
Try all these things:
- Clear data and cache of the Google Play. Reboot, if the problem persists, try the next fix.
- Go to CWM and Wipe dalvik cache and cache. Reboot, if not try the next one
- Uninstall your Google Play and install this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1541177.html
Reboot, if it still doesn't work try the next step.
-Last one: install SetDNS (download from attachment, it's free version, so no rule infringement), and put OpenDNS. Reboot and try, if not try other DNS.
That's all, hope that helped

LOL im not gona wipe my cache's.
i have no problems downloading on 3G. only on WI-FI.so ill just wait until google fixes this.
also this " Clear data and cache of the Google Play. Reboot, if the problem persists, try the next fix." didnt work for me.
though any solutions/ideas yadayada are of help, maybe not to me but other people might be more lucky.
Yeah, I have the Boost Xprt and it's just the same on mine. I assumed it was something I had done and not remembered.
I backed up everything with Titanium and done a full SBF flash, it still doesn't work, so it's definitely on server side as far as wifi.
Like the previous posts said it will still work with 3G just no Wifi.
Quick edit: Has anyone else changed over to IPV6 on their routers and browsers? I'm going to switch mine off and try again see what happens.
Ok another edit: It wasn't due to IPV6 so that isn't the problem either lol.
Sorry for the double post. It seems to be working again. It must have been an update that fragged out or something.

Make sure your mobile data is on and that your in an area where you know you have coverage. Also try doing a battery pull if you can.

Question Hey Google command not working but mic light is on

Hi all. Not sure if this is a general Android problem or a Samsung issue but posting here to see if anyone else is having this issue. Upon using the Hey Google voice command, the green light in the corner indicating the mic is in use turns on, but nothing pops up and no Google Assistant is visible. If I tap on the green light it tells me Google is using the mic (obviously), so I go into the mic permissions from there and toogle off and then on the Google Assistant mic permissions. I can then use the voice command and Google Assistant will come up as usual. This then repeats many times per day.
Is anyone else having similar issues? I have tried all fixes I've seen online and nothing helps.
If the Google command is not working despite the microphone light being on, there could be a few possible reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check your internet connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection. Voice commands require an active internet connection to function properly.
Restart your device: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues. Try restarting your device and see if the Google command starts working again.
Clear cache and data: Go to the settings of the Google app or your web browser and clear the cache and data. This can help resolve any temporary glitches that might be causing the issue.
Check microphone settings: Make sure that the microphone is enabled and properly configured on your device. You can do this by going to the settings and checking the microphone settings.
Update Google app or browser: Ensure that you have the latest version of the Google app or web browser installed. Updates often contain bug fixes and improvements that can address issues with voice commands.
If none of these steps resolve the problem, it may be a more complex issue that requires further troubleshooting or assistance from technical support.

Unfortunately I did all of that besides clear the Google app completely because that is a nightmare...but if it keeps happening I may have to. All of the normal stuff I've tried.
So I did clear Google app data and it's still happening as of tonight. I'm on a locked S23 ultra in the US directly from Samsung so I don't know how something like could break this badly without being rooted or something.
I've had this happen to me. I am rooted and on dr.ketan ROM.
After wiping data and setting up Google app again it starts working, but stops again the next day.
I have 2 same phones that are basically mirrors as far as setup and this was only happening to one of them.
After many attempts including clearing data and setting up Google app again it always stopped working on the next day.
Eventually I restored TWRP back up which is from before the problem occurred. Now it is working again.
This is why I would never use a phone without root or TWRP.
Had this problem too until yesterday, it was just an issue with the specific app Version of Google.
Newest Update fixed it

Bro..are/were you part of Google tech support? Your trouble shooting steps uncannily resembles the same steps that Google tech support would normally advice!
So this is still happening, even after all updates, many clearing cache and data, many restarts of the phone. It will work initially, and then the next time I need it the mic light will come on and google assistant doesn't pop up. Anyone else perhaps have had this happen?

This happened again to me yesterday. I went to app info, cleared cache and force stopped Google app, then without opening the app said "hey Google" and it started working again. It still works today. Hopefully it will stay that way.

I have a sort of similar issue where randomly google assistant will just stop waking up to the hey google command. I have found in my case if you go into default apps then switch the default assistant to a different option and then set it back to Google it resolves my issue for a while. May not work in your case but worth a try.

Yea this does work temporarily. I tried it again just now and it happened exactly the way I described before. Just the mic light, nothing popped up, tap the mic light, mic being used by Google. Just a total disaster at this point. I can only hope that the June update (if we ever get one) somehow fixes this.

Setting the default app to something else for assistant and then putting it back to Google had no effect for me. Still wasn't working until I cleared cache and force stopped Google.
