GUIDE: Mod status bar for galaxy A510F - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 General

[/COLOR]I have modded my status bar on my phone, A510F. What you need is:
1. Root and install custom recovery (in order yo flash xposed)
2. Xposed installer (apk); i will upload in this threat
3. Xposed zip file which suits for our a510f.
Guide: after rooting and installing recovery, you install file xposed apk. Then, enter the recovery and flash xposed zip. After all, install one module to manage the status bar, i will include it in this threat too. And now, yoy can chang any icon on status bar you want how they are.
Step: 1. Install base apk
2. Flash xposed zip
3. Install file apk
Done
***. First boot after flashing takes a lot of time. Be patient
****Because of the copyright, so i have remove the flat style bar pro paid. If someone want it, send me message, i will send u by email, or you can search on web by yourself

reserve for help.......

If you are using Exynos variant, you need the 32-bit zip. 64-bit will not flash.
Also, why are you uploading FlatStyleBar pro? It is a paid app.

What is wrong???

i agree, all the themes here right now are pretty much just different colors, nothing this in depth
this one is nice!!!! why Vibrant is so boring?
Just flash to one of the 2.2.1 JS ROMS such as Loki, Teleforce, Sweet Honey 2.5, Juwe's, Atriarc (my personal fav).
Then download the theme from the i9000 forum, open the zip, remove the services.jar, resign the zip and flash thru CWM and viola.

I may be wrong and someone please correct me if I am but I don't think you can just open the zip and remove the services.jar? I believe you need to download 7zip or a similar program and do it from there.
If someone can tell me how to attach the zip after I remove the services.jar I will upload it for anyone that wants it. When posting here on XDA zip files can be no bigger than 8.0mb, this zip is 42.6mb. Probably a little smaller once services.jar is removed.

Yes sorry, you would need to use 7zip to open the archive and remove the services.jar file. Then use AutoSign to resign the zip

I removed the services.jar but I am not at all familiar with Autosign. I did just download it to check it out but I have no clue of what to do next? I read a little on it and it's way over my head. I was able to take another theme I liked and get running fine on my phone but when it comes to getting these themes back up here on XDA for others I'm not sure how to do it.

run autosign.bat.
Then:
select option 1, type yes, hit enter (if FC thats ok)
select option 2, type yes, hit enter
select option 3, type yest, hit enter
select option 4, type in path of zip file that needs to be signed, hit enter.
When done, then the zip is now signed and can be installed thru CWM
As far as posting theme on here, you need to upload the theme to website like www.multiupload.com. Then once its uploaded paste the link on here
I meant to have it ported to vibrant 2.2 roms like Bionix 1.3.1 or others.
a few days only
hello, I am the creator of the theme. As I stated in the original threat, I will start working at the port theme on 22 march. I hope you will have the first test themes tomorow evening, or on 23 march. I also will need some testers, so if someone want's to enroll, give me a PM.

I just use astro file manager than open the theme zip file on your phone and than just delete the services jar file and thats it.

[Q] Aroma Installer

Hi guys,
I'm trying to set up Aroma Installer for my own Custom ROM. When I try to flash the ROM, it shows all but when i had nearly finished it let me choose Installation Demo and other options. This will flash the ROM or it will show me what will happen without flashing it?
If it is only a demostration, what I have to do to flash the ROM definetly?
Thank you!!!

By the looks of it, it's just a demo
To flash a ROM, go to its thread, download it(it won't be 5 mb, it would be probably bigger than 100 mb or around it) and follow the instructions on how to flash it.

I don't think that there is a problem in my meta-inf folder. I just ask what I have to do to skip the demo and flash the ROM.

Then you need to modify Aroma-Config (Uses C as language) and updater-script to make the package behave as you want.
If you don't want options in Aroma, just a simple installer of ROM
Then, follow this guide

No problem, just busy right now so sorry if it takes a bit to answer.
Right now all you did was swap updater scripts, you need to edit your aroma-config to have it select what you want.
If you need some help with it I'll be home in maybe 5hours and can lend a hand then, in the meantime take a look at some of my (or others) aroma packaged and see how they matched aromaconfigs to updater scripts

Can you tell me how you did it?
Now, how I can put different options? For example, if someone installs my ROM I would like them to choose what kernel or app they want to install or not. How can I do that and where I must place the .apk files (for the apps) or the .zip files (for the kernels)?
Thank you again!!!
I'm seeing that the installer does not install the ROM, how I can do that?

Could you plz help me to correct my rom aroma installer, i configured aroma-config and updater script but during flash process it show (Status 1) error on line 187 col 4 or something like this.

all i did was fix aroma, you need to put the files in the proper place, as in open root folder, there should be two inside (more if needed for other purposes) meta-inf and system, put all rom info organized properly in system and then flash
you can always save aroma logs if you have questions
and yes i can help you add kernel choices and such but i need to know what all options you need or want

No need to apologize, we all learn new thongs every day!
You shouldn't have to edit any script, just take your system folder and meta-inf (and anything else needed) zip them up and sign, when you flash in aroma be sure to save logs so you can check it later for errors

[Q] Cydia Background Manager

I am wondering if there is something similar to the Cydia Background Manager application for iOS that can be used on Android devices. I am looking for something that will allow me to force an app that goes to the background to stay in a foreground state like you can do with the Background Manager application.
This is the app I am referring to just in case...
cydia.saurik.com/package/kr.slak.backgroundmanager
Thank you.
I think you can use the "Resident" option in Per App Settings, which is an Xposed module.

[Q] make s3weather widget apk installable?

Hey guys.
I was wondering if it is possible to make the original s3 weather apk installable by changing its name and label. When I try installing it says another package with a conflicting signature is already installed. So if its name and label is changed and signed again, it may become installable as a normal apk. Can anyone help me in editing the name and label? I would do it myself but I cant figure out how to edit androidmanifest.xml and so I require help. Thanks
If anyone can help me. I can provide the weather apk.

The plan is to rename AccuWeather into AccuS3 and com.sec.????? Into com.sec.accus3.widget and resign the apk so I can install it as a normal apk. However, if it required the daemon and the main file. I'll have their name changed as well into AccuS3 daemon and AccuS3 main respectively. They, maybe, then work on all devices (maybe not on non-TW devices) but atleast galaxy users will get the s3 weather. But after many attempts, I failed to edit label, name and icon so I want someone to do this for me. I have the AccuWeather and AccuWeather main apk. but I will upload them if someone is willing to waste time on it and gives me green signal.

It seems that there's a apk dependency or another incompatibility (weather's or TW's base...).

Uhh. I don't know. I had them on my computer. I dont really remember where did I get this Apk. So it means it requires weather main and daemon as well to work right? So if I upload the weather alongwith its daemon and main file??? Do you think it will work? Install as a normal APK after some name or icon modifications or dependencies modification? Because the flashable zip has all three files and says to push in system/app. So if we simply modify all 3 APKs so they become normally installable. It will work right? Should I upload weather apk alongwith its supported weather main apk and daemon apk or is there no hope in accomplishing this project?

Installing as system app will change the weather ofcourse because it has TW support. Weather will recognise the TW and start working as it will take place of the default weather widget. But here is the problem. I dont have root so I CAN NOT install them as system app and replace the default weather. And that is the ultimate reason I want them as normally installable and deletable APK so I could install them on a non-rooted device. Because if this project is done well and started working. Millions will get a clean copy of s3 default weather like ACE, Y, S2 and other GALAXY users without having root.

As you have xposed install you might be able to use SystemUI Icons which allows you to change every images from the system UI apk. The only problem is it's a bit long to change each icons one by one. I may be able to make an app to automate the process, but I need to find time for that. You could try using SystemUI icons for now and I'll tell you if I've found time to make an app or if I find a quicker way
Hope that was helpful

Ok I took a bit of time to see how I could manage to automate the process, for now the app is able to get superuser rights and access the SecSettings.apk file in System/app, now I need to see if I could modify the apk without decompile it. The problem is I have a lot of exams these weeks so it might take some time before I can finnish the whole app. I'll tell you when it will be ready
