how long have you had the phone? I had mine about 2 weeks after signing up with T-Mobile and I used the device unlock app that comes on the phone and its unlocked.
the one pic says unlock failed only because its already been unlocked. that's why the 2nd pic says unlocked approved

I got this phone over craigslist, i am actually not a t-mobile customer. so T-mobile couldnt unlock this phone.
I tried few paid services, but all of them refunded me back that they were unable to unlock the device remotely.

Do you have any friends with T-Mobile that would let you borrow their SIM card to try and use the device unlock app? I'm just throwing a fart in the wind here hoping it catches in a net for you.

[XPERIA P] Remove network/sim lock

Hi, first of all please forgive if this is not the right thread for posting this, now i have some question if somebody can help me. Network/sim lock is the same thing ? My bootloader is unlockable and after i enter the code for unlocking in the menu next to network to box is checked with an X, this mean my phone has one of these locks ? And finally i've read that s1tool can remove sim lock, does anyone knows if it safe to use with xperia p and if is this will make my bootloader unlockable ? Thanks, don't be to harsh.
I asked for full unlock (make bootloader unlockable) Alejandrissimo MR from http://unlock-bootloader.com and he gave me answer:
"New Xperia NTX phones has new security, so there is no way to unlock those phones at the present.
As all new phones the new security has the old security holes patched and find another weak point will take some time.
I'm sure there will be a solution in the future, maybe near future.
Greetings."
so then it will be possible at a certain time
I just enter network/SIM unlock code in my Xperia P and bootloader unlocked allow still say NO
So the conclusion is that removing network/SIM lock does not change bootloader unlocked status
why the bl is locked then i had xperia play and x10 and both unlocked

I honestly don't know. I'm very angry on Sony because of this and definitely wont buy any Sony phone in the future.
My network operator told me to insert SIM card from any other operator and when I do that a opo up dialog came up requesting from me to enter network unlock code. I entered provided code and in Service/Configuration Unlocked bootloader allowed still said NO :crying:
Carrier branded versions of phones are generally not unockable as stated by sony.
To sim unlock the phone with a code wont change the bootloader lock/unlock status
Actually nothing will change this status.
So all we can hope is that somebody can do the same to the P than to the S: install CWM despite locked bootloader.

Well, this depends ONLY on your network operator. If you buy a contract cheap phone from provider, the provider is in the position to make the choice if they give you a unlockable or non-unlockable bootloader. This is NOT sonys decision, be mad with your operator or yourself for buying a phone from them instead a free one. It is the same for all manufacters.

So my operator can unlock the bootloader?

Hi, sorry to be a pain, but does this mean that xperia s cannot be unlocked for now?, what if i manage to unlock the bootloader and flash a CFW, will that unlock the sim status? i hope someone could answer me
No, it won't.
There is just one case (movil in spain) where the provider requested at Sony to provide bootloader via the online system.
but this is a very special case.
netlock unlock is decoupled from bootloader unlock. the IMEIs of phone delivered to provides with netlock are not in their online system so no unlock code for the bootloader can be generated even if you get an unlock code for the netlock
but... in my xperia p i have network/sim lock YES, why ?

Hi there,
Any news regarding SIM lock unlock?
I have a friend who has this phone, bought from T and he wants to use a Voda sim card in it.
Is it possible, without paying a lot to T to tell the unlock code?
Thanks in advance!

I don't really know the answer to this question because I've never used GSM or had to deal with SIM-related stuff, so this might be a dumb question, but does it just require an unlock code? Is this the same code that you can view in the "About Phone" menu in the options? The one that's called UICC unlock or something? Check out this thread here...
Is it already locked with a PIN right now? I don't even know if locked SIMs persist across factory resets, but if they do I would check online to see if that's all you need, or how it works. Maybe a Google search with something like UICC unlock SIM GSM LG G3 Sprint factory reset, for example. Sorry if I'm already telling you stuff you know.

LG G5 root available for H831 in Canada

Ok, one last desperate kick at the cat. If anyone knows of a root for my G5, speak loudly please! It's a H831, presumably only available in Canada. And for what it's worth, my carrier is Rogers and I'm running Android N 7.0. Solve it, come to town, and I'll buy you beers all night long until the ambulance shows up
Sign the petition to release LG G5 Canadian bootloader
Hi there's a petition to release LG G5 Canadian bootloader on Change.org (Unlock the bootloader for h831, Canadian LG G5) Just sign it and spread the word..
That unlockable bootloader is everything....
It'd be really great if people could do even some cursory searches.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/info-autos-g5-thread-t3350648
OMFG!! i thought there was a breakthrough!!
stupid title!!
I don't believe this will ever happen
So confused
Ok...... so as we know now... i think (still kind of confused)
There is no bootloader unlock method available for the H831 because even though us canadians give everyone maple syrup and dont start wars,
nobody gives a **** about us..
That being said.... Am I able to unlock the bootloader by flashing a stock rom from a carrier that does allow bootloader to be unlocked, then follow instructions to unlock the bootloader under that stock firmware?
am I missing something?
so to reiterate...
Can I flash my LG-H831 with LG-H850 stock ROM,
then use the method for unlocking bootloader for LG-H850 to get my bootloader unlocked?
I really dont feel like trying to flash TWRP without my bootloader being unlocked because I do NOT have the money to get a new G5 if I brick it...

Sorry buddy, this won't work.
The H831 bootloader is locked, hence it will only run H831 firmware. The moment it sees something different, it will brick.
**** LG
And **** ANY piece of **** corporation that sells ****ing worthless GARBAGE WITH LOCKED ****ING BOOTLOADERS!!!
Extremely near-sighted profit-making scam that negatively affects the entire ****ing world for years if not decades. If you think, wtf do they even gain after the few months that their all-new "apps" and "services" are obsolete??

mine is stuck on frp lock and I'm looking for any flashing solution that would work for me.. or any frp lock bypass that is actually legit. A466BG with Safelink.
Looking to Root Pixi Unite A466Bg Too
Need to Root this phone so I can make complete backups with Titanium Backup!
Any verdict?
I've been doing some research on this phone (it's pretty hard to get), and found a sad truth. This phone doesn't allow access to its bootloader. :crying:

I also need to unlock my Alcatel. Tracfone claims I must have owned the phone for a year before they will provide unlocking information. Not very nice but that's Tracfone! I believe Leo stated on the air that the FCC requires all carriers to provide unlocking information if you bought the phone.

Unless you have an Obama phone or you got your phone via a deal with getting a "Free Phone" from some other service. At which point you don't really own the phone. The phone company does. It is up to their terms of service and the contract you got the phone under that determines when you get actual ownership.
SafeLink users - it is 1 year of ownership before you can do what you want with the phone.

Question Unlocked vs T-Mobile version questions.

I currently have both the T-Mobile version and I purchased an unlocked version from BestBuy.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/oneplus-nord-n200-5g-blue-quantum-64gb-unlocked-blue-quantum/6468089.p?skuId=6468089
Are there physical differences to these two phones or are they just running different software?
EDIT I looks like its not possible to unlock the bootloader of the T-Mobile version just yet and I have been doing some searching and it looks like the unlocked version is closer to being unlocked. If anyone can confirm a way to bootloader unlock either I would appreciate it.
My end goal here is to get access to Unlocked/Uncapped tethering without having to use a 3rdparty app or companion app. The ability to flash custom ROMs and root access. But also the ability to flash back to a 100% stock rom.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
EDIT I see now you can get the bootloader unlocked on both version by sending a token to Oneplus and waiting 7 days.

The only physical difference is that the T-Mobile version has the IMEI engraved onto the back of the phone while the unlocked variant does not and the original boxes are slightly different.
Both phones run different software. It is possible to flash the unlocked ROM to the T-Mobile version of the phone after unlocking the bootloader, but that breaks OTA.

You may find this useful with the T-Mobile variant: CLICK HERE
All the info you need to get your bootloader unlocked for the T-Mobile variant.
There's even a single adb command that will ungrey the OEM unlock option in the developer settings without a SIM unlock (you'll still need the unlock token from OP though):

OK, this process has been hell, but I'm gonna try and consolidate everything I've worked out so far in one place. This all applies only to the T-Mobile variant (ie. it comes preloaded with all the T-Mobile bloatware) of the N200 on the T-Mobile...

does unlocked version has dual sim capability and dual sim tray??
I'm trying to do the same thing with the N200 for a hostpot @xVoidx . I'm curious if you succeeded, and what ROM did you end up using to do it?
I have this phone fully bootloader unlocked. can someone direct me to a tmobile variant rom? or something thatll change it from tmobile to unlocked?
