theres at least 2 posts of you saying you have a fix... with no fix posted. post it up... :good:

Sorry autoprime as i said im kinda new to posting.....
One of the ppl i wud like to acknowledge is autoprime ....
Anyways guys.
This is what i did.
First of all. You need to download. Two aaps from playstore.
1.system app remover.
2.hidden settings.
With System app remover you can delete the app which is playing the video again and again.
It called. Something like alice tutorial.
After deleting the app no more promotion video will be played.
2.with Hidden settings app you and. Go in the apps tab in settings which is always blocked by retail password otherwise.
And disable the retail mode app temporarily. After which you can. Do all you like with the settings and everything...
This was the temporary solution.
For the permanent solution i followed the directions posted by another senior member for restoring stock firmware to the lg g5 after which i have a completely unlocked european phone.
I again say im new to all this. So plzz auto prime if u can elaborate to everyone in a better way will be helpful .
Thanks

Thank you for sharing. I do not have a retail mode G5 myself but was curious about what was going on.
Now trying to break down what you said...
the 2 apps needed... it'd be nice to not need any apps at all. so trying to understand what each app did... the system app remover seems to need root.. at least this one does https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp
so, did you have root when you used that? if not, I think it may just freeze the app and that could be done with a "pm hide com.packagenamehere.com" command... if we knew the exact apk to freeze.
the hidden menus app... that could also be replicated with adb or terminal emulator plus a simple command to run "am start com.packagenamehere.com/.menu.youwantto.open" but again w would need to know the exact apk/menu we needed.
it's good to know there can be multiple ways of getting around this. But it seems the easiest method of all is just flashing a KDZ with LGUP. Everyone should b able to do that. LGUP steps can be found in my "all-in-one" G5 thread here - forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/info-autos-g5-thread-t3350648
if anyone still has a locked retail mode g5 and wants to figure out the exact apks to freeze/hide and launch and needs help.. find me in the LG IRC channels on freenode. link in my signature.. and also mentioned in the all-in-one guide linked above.. all the way at the end of the page.

Autoprime i have attached the snapshot of the two aaps i used and. Root was not needed and i wasnt rooted nor am.
I have the temporary solutuon cuz maybe some variant doenst havee the kdz yet .
Otherwise. The kdz method is hands down the winner.

You said something about the G3 code. Can you be ever so awsome, and say what the G3 code is? Or anyone for that matter.

I need your help on removing or bypassing retail mode
I really need your help to unlock or bypass tell mode on LG G5 thank you and my email address is [email protected]

Lmao. I requested screenshot of the retail mode app yet no one post it. If it's the correct one i have the code to the retail to disable it. Don't even need the hassle of disabling stuff or flashing for that matter.

Mr Andile Mathe
How to remove retail mode in LG G5

I have used the 2 apps as mentioned in one of the first posts. It removed the LG movie showing and allowed me to adjust the fingerprint.
But now I would like to update it by LG says it is not possible as they will not release the code to unlock the phone. Thus I cannot root it and update. Is there anyway or possibility to root and flash the ROM?

Hi
You can always install "lgMobile Support Tool", from LG and do an "Upgrade Recovery", on the menu.. it removes root and flashes the latest firmware..
Hi madscout,
also works by performing an upgrade to the same version already installed?
you mentioned this ?

Ok, I had seen a different name of the EXE and I had not yet opened, the procedure is that in any case, very good.
If @dalingrin has a faster procedure to remove his Root...is better, in any case I understand the guidance and tools.
thanks
edit: i'm really noob with LG, with samsung (n7000) is totally different.

[Q] Kyocera Brigadier (Verizon) Root

I just bought Verizon Kyocera Brigadier at full retail price and without any contract because I want to use the phone with other carriers and in other countries. Verizon stated that the phone is Global Ready and it is unlocked out-of-the box. Well, this is partially true. When I use the phone with other carriers I can still make/receive Call and Message but I don't have data access. There is no way to add/edit APN
After searching a lot it seems that the only way is to root the phone and add the APN manually. The problem is I can not find any successful/working app/method to root this phone.
I have tried framaroot, Kingo root, Genius root, towelroot, etc but NONE is working
So please.. please again.. anyone could help me to root this phone I will be very thankful. I will gladly donate some money for your effort/help/time if it is successful :good:
This is the toughest phone in the world now with a good/decent spec and it should be awesome if I can use as 'real' smartphone. I have to use the phone with other carriers. Without a data access this is just a stupid though phone.
Any response, help, hint or comment are welcome. Thank you.

Yes, I mentioned it in the first post. It doesn't work!
I too am waiting with fish on my tongue for a root method. My dad just got his first smartphone, this brigadier, and the bloatware is confusing the heck out of him lol. Too many options, I need to clean it up.
Sent via quantum entanglement, focused through my OnePlus One.
Have any of you guys tried sideloading the FM Radio apk?
Is it possible that Kyocera will produce the fix (add the APN manually)?

No. Kyocera will not issue the fix. They bond with some agreement witj Verizon. It is all the same case with their other phone that sell via Verizon. They said it is Global ready and unlocked but they NEVER said that only for call/sms.
I knew it after a lot of reading from other forums. If I knew it before the maybe I will not buy this phone.
But actually.. maybe I can't resist the temptation of buying this Kyocera Brigadier. The WORLD TOUGHEST PHONE.

Q1: How do I Root my LG G3?You should revert to ZV4 using Flashtool - see below.
OR
You can root ZVA using THIS Thanks to @l33tlinuxh4x0r - But be aware that most ROM's/Kernels are made for the ZV4 bootloader!!! You will have all ZVA partitions, so you may have issues.
On ZV4:
1. Your phone must have NEVER been Rooted before. Even if you've uninstalled SuperSu and removed all the files IT WILL NOT WORK!! It MUST be installed on a clean phone. ie Never Rooted, LGFlashtool - see below about this.
2. Root for us is in this thread. HERE
Version 1.2.0 is the most current - Hit "Grind" it'll more than likely say not supported, then hit "OK" and it will "Bruteforce" root to your phone, then reboot when told and it'll reboot again on its own.
Let it bootup, then install SuperSu, reboot and then uninstall Stump Root.
Version 1.0.0 was made specifically for the Sprint G3.
Q2: How do I unlock the bootloader? You must Root first with Stump, then we use BUMP

Nope. We're good to go on this one. Just be careful what apps you remove. Don't cut too deep.
What a lot of people are doing is freezing/disabling apps before they remove them.
Added questions Q5 - apps, Q6 - modifying build.prop and system files
Updated rooting instructions. Just made it more thorough.
Here's an idea for q8.
How do I get my QHD preloaded videos back?
The answer is... Restore your G3 with flashtool!
I accidentally deleted my QHD vids awhile back when I did a factory reset from stock recovery. I couldn't use someone else's vids because they have some kind of protection and can only be viewed on the device they came on.
I restored with flashtool the other day and when I was going through my gallery this morning I noticed that they are back.
I searched and asked everywhere trying to get them back with no luck.
---------- Post added at 06:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:29 AM ----------
I'd like to make another suggestion, if you don't mind.
These are common questions that someone would search Google for. It would be great if this thread popped up when someone searched Google for the answer.
My suggestion is to make each question specific to the G3 or LG G3.
Example.. Q3: How do I restore my LG G3 back to factory stock condition?
Just think about what you'd type into the Google search bar.
Excellent faq, please don't think I'm trying to be critical.

It's all good. I was the one asking for suggestions, so I don't think that at all.
The way XDA wants these FAQ's is to try and find the most common questions so as to limit the amount of new threads. I tend to take it a little further by providing links and other info that I think is helpful.
To answer your suggestions:
1. So far, I think you're the only one who wanted the QHD vids back. So I'm not being rude, but for now I'll leave it off. You, me and others that actually read these threads know how to fix this. (and this IS on the first page now). If it becomes a common issue, I will gladly add it.
2. I'm not positive about this but I think the tags at the bottom serve that purpose. I added a couple and I think anybody can do the same. I'll edit the OP just to make sure.
Thanks for the suggestions, and please don't think I was being critical. I was just explaining my position.
Added link for question #5 APPS removal list. Thanks to stas333
Q#7 Added EFS Backup info. Very Important that you do this or you could be in for a lot of work and luck.
Q#3 Added info on getting MSL

Just wanna say thanks for the one stop shop. Makes it easy to find stuff when I need it.
Well I didn't want to start a new thread so I thought I would ask here. I hope that's ok. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone uses a cpu governor? I'm on stock and rooted through stump and bumped. If so which is a good one to use and what settings are best? Thanks
Op updated with ZV6 info - There is no Root for it yet.
Flash one of the zips in Development.

Ascend Mate MT2-C00

Hello
First of all I'm sorry if this was already asked, and considering how big this forum, probably is. I recently purchased this phone, Huawei Ascend Mate 2. Now phone was from China Telekom and it was full of their blootware, first I did was try to Root phone to get rid of that, I rooted phone using guide I found here and using KingRoot desktop.
Now I have problems with Google contacts can't sync them, there is no option, even tried installing Google Calendar and people sync app from gapps but I'd didn't work.
Now what I really want to know is, could I maybe install some other rom on this phone, can someone point me to some detailed guide for doing so? What rom would it be best to put here? Please any help is appreciated.
I tried uploading pic of build number and other info but it won't let me.

Can you tell us more about the C00? Does it have Jelly Bean, KitKat, or Lollipop? I'm not sure if we can help you. Most of us have the MT2-L03, which is very different inside.
Found this online ScoobSTi don't know how good the info is but it should be a good starting point for finding out more about it

There is also a post on xda about TWRP for the phone that may also be helpful as well

Hope this helps out.

Flashing original software is your best bet. There is no development for that device.
Yeah, for MT2_C00, there not much ROM development in xda, you better stick with stock ROM.
And they also are doing 5.1 ROM testing recently, but I am not sure what's the progress of that.

Above forum is mate 2 forum, which you can use google translate to get some info (make sure you are looking at your phone MT2_C00)
Regarding the google service issue, since google website is blocked in China, so all phone sold in china doesn't have google stuff. They have their own "play store". I think they have all the lower level google framework/services removed, that's probably why install some google apk won't work.
in XDA, I have seen some thread discussion about extract/compile a complete google framework/app stack for phones like yours, but you need research and try them out.
For example:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874285
or more general
https://www.google.com/search?q=com...amework+chinese+site:forum.xda-developers.com
Good luck.
Thanks everyone for help.

Version 4.4.2
EMUI 3.0
BUILD number: MT2-C00V100R001C92B606
Kernel 3.0.8-00454-g07bb652
Baseband SNAVARZ5334
@Moody66
Sorry for noob question, but what do you mean, leave it like this or to flash stock international rom if that is possible?
What should I do first now, I need recovery right?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-mate2/development/recovery-t2979471
Is this my starting point?
If anyone want to help feel free to add me on Line app, whats app or what ever.
Yeah, I think you should flash that recovery first. So you can have backup before try anything else. That thread remind me @4L0M, not sure he saw this thread, he might can share some info on the Google issue.

Hey, another thing, can you view the /system/etc/hosts and see if any Google host is there? I think one approach they use is return dummy IP using this file to speed up fail response for blocked site.
If you see any, you can try deleted those Google lines and see. You need root and better have twrp and take System backup before modify the file.
I solved problems with contacts, installed today another google contact sync and it worked. Now, can someone help me how to install international stock rom it would be great, if it is possible, or any advice what should I do. It is annoying to see those chinese letters, not everything is translated even though language is english and chinese.

I don't think there are any other ROMs for the C00. Where are you located? How did you get a C00?

Like they said. There are no flash able ROMs for this device. All you can do is wait and hope they release an updated firmware for it. It may be possible to flash Gapps package to it and see of that works. But without a backup you could do more harm than good.

Dear All,
I have the MT2-C00 too. I have been searching for a flashable rom for a while, too. If you happen to find one, please share with me.

Is there a way to root LG Volt 2

I just bought my LG Volt 2 a month ago, and I'm ready to make it MINE! Unfortunately, I think this phone is too new, because I can't find anything helpful on how to root it. I tried "kingroot" and after it did a few things, it said I was successfully rooted. BUT, when I started up "SuperSU" it says it has to download some things, and its never successful and informs me to restart my phone and to press the restart tab. When I press the restart tab, it says "attempting to restart phone" but it can't. I'm on the 5.1.1 operating system, and using an LG Volt 2 (LGLS751). Is there any advise out there that someone can offer me? Am I REALLY rooted? Has anyone successfully rooted this phone yet? If so please tell me where I can find the steps. I have faith that my XDA community will pull through. Thanks everyone!
Kingroot
not sure if you are still having issues but I use Kingroot for mine.
Yea didnt work for my lg volt 2 either

Considering this is an open community, why not just post your method for finding root here like everyone else does. Then we can verify your method through duplication. We can also test your methods using different firmware versions, different scenarios (such as from stock, from partially rooted by one-click methods, from bricked, etc.).
I myself just acquired an LS751. No battery, but that is an easy fix. No FRP, so that will not be an issue. I know the person who originally owned it anyways. This phone has great potential. Please share your method so we may all benefit. We will definitely give you the full credit if your method can be verified or refined to a validated method.
I know I am quiet guys, but I have been around for a very long time in these forums. I remember when I fumbled my way into getting a Motorola Atrix 2 ROM to work on an original Motorola Atrix. I wish now I had published my methods and dealings, for the collaboration of developers in these forums brings about the greatness we see in Dirty Unicorns (Which was the ROM I used, I believe it was AOKP at the time though), Paranoid Android, etc. My experimentation would have accelerated the development process.
Please do share your findings and let us all help in developing and refining methods.
