M8S S812 Hardware Acceleration - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hi All,
I need help please.
I have an Amlogic M8S N200C box with Firmware 4.4 / Rooted / ADB / ..
I have some tools for development if necessary.
I would like to view video stream H.264 type.
The problem is i have only Sound and no Video with Kodi and other video player like MX Player.
I tried upgrading to 5.1 Firmware and all work fine (With all Applications Player) , But i must to stay in 4.4 for some raison.
Today i think there is a problem from Hardware Acceleration Amcodec and libamplayer.so library, But i don't realy know if it's correct and how to patch it.
You can have the logcat in attached file.
In this log i have seen this W/linker problem :
V/Kodi ( 1709): Debug Print: FactoryCodec - Video: amcodec - Opening
V/Kodi ( 1709): Debug Print: SECTION:LoadDLL(libamplayer.so)
V/Kodi ( 1709): Debug Print: Loading: /system/lib/libamplayer.so
W/linker ( 1709): libamplayer.so has text relocations. This is wasting memory and is a security risk. Please fix.
Thx You a lot for your help :')

[Q] MediaScanner can't see vorbis comments

Hi there,
I have a big problems with Ogg/Vorbis files. I encoded all my CDs in vorbis and Android from Toshiba (even with Dexter mod) is not able to detect vorbis comments (album name, artist, etc...).
I tried with Android emulator and it works fine there (with 2.2, 2.3 and 3.0), but it never works with 2.2 from Toshiba.
Please someone would know how to fix it or at least which libraries are related to that problem (opencore, base framework, etc...) ?
P.S.: I launched several times MediaScanner from DevTools to be sure my files are parsed.
I just fixed the problem.
I copied :
- /system/lib/libmedia*.so
- /system/lib/libopencore_*.so
- /system/lib/libstagefright*.so
- /system/lib/libvorbisidec.so
from Android 2.2 emulator image to my Folio 100.
And it works fine now
I suppose I copied more than necessary files... I will check if I revert back some files, it works
I tried with each file and finally only these 2 files are necessary to change to support vorbis indexing :
- /system/lib/libmedia.so
- /system/lib/libmedia_jni.so
/system/lib/libmediaplayerservice.so is responsible for hardware acceleration for videos so it's really bad to replace accelerated version by the normal one

X96 Max Plus Ultra (S905X4) Disney+ & HBO Max audio issues

Device
Model: X96 Max Plus Ultra
Chip: Amlogic S905X4
RAM: 4GB
Storage: 64GB
OS - previous: Android 11 (stock Chines ROM)
OS - current: Slimbox TV 11.9 - ATV version
My hardware
TV: Sony Android TV v7.0
Audio 1: Sony HT-S350 soundbar (supports only Dolby Digital)
Audio 2: Sony HT-ZF9 soundbar (supports all codecs)
Issue
I have a X96 Max Plus Ultra and I'm having some issues with the Disney+ - HBO Max app.
The video does play without any issues (HD quality). Audio however does play when I'm watching an old episode like the first Family Guy season.
When playing new episodes or a recent movie there is no sound. I do hear the sound Android plays when tapping a button.
I had this issue when the stock ROM was installed. As a test I installed the Slimbox TV ATV 11.9 ROM. Unfortunately the same issue.
Troubleshooting
I setup Magisk:
1. Configured the Deny List
2. Installed the "Universal Safetynet Fix" module
3. Installed "liboemcrypto disabler" module
Settings:
4. Disabled the unlocking bootloader option under developer settings
5. Only stereo output (downmix) - sound settings
6. Enabled "Allow pass-through sound for hardware audio decoder" for all audio (my audio device supports all codecs)
7. Changed the "Dolby DRC Mode" settings
8. Changed "High resolution audio" settings
9. Changed "Multichannel PCM" settings
10. Changed "Surround sound" settings (auto, off & manual)
DRM Widevine:
Vendor: Google
Version: 16.0.0
Algorithms: AES/CBC/NoPadding.HmacSHA256
Security level:L3
Playing a 4k video with 7.1 audio does work when I use a different app.
Does anybody know a way to fix the audio issue?
Solution:
1. Factory reset
2. Flash Android TV (ATV).

3. Update Magisk
4. Hide Magisk
5. Install the Magisk module "universal-safetynet-fix"
6. Install the Magisk module "liboemcrypto+DRM+Disabler"
7. Install the Magisk module "DRM_L1_Patch_2020"
Magisk modules:

Now you can install Disney+ and Amazon Prime from the Play Store.
Install Netflix using this APK:
https://url.yourteq.network/netflixfix202301
All apps will play at least 720p video with 5.1 audio.
New firmware runs much faster and fully controllable by a remote. No mouse needed. Only downside is uninstalling some Russian bloatware that comes with the firmware.

NexBox A95X (905 / 1GB / 8GB Android 5.11 to 6+ upgrade ?

Hi - I have this box and would like to utilise it with Delta Media Player for granny TV. Delta Media Player indicates that require Android 6.0 (this box have 5.11) and when I log in to application it logging me in but attempt to watch content gives only infinitely rounding circle. I think that too old android might be the reason - any way to update this one to at least Adnroid 6.0 ?
