I was able to get bluetooth debugging working while synced with an iPhone - Moto 360 2015

I'm not sure how I did it (and I'm scared to try to recreate it in case I lose it), but I've managed to get bluetooth debugging working while paired with my iPhone. It requires another Android device. I'm not sure if this was the exact order of things, I was resetting the watch so many times that it may have remained partially configured from the Android app rather than the iPhone app.
I'm not sure the steps I took exactly, but I think what did it was this (obviously this will require factory resetting your watch):
Paired the device with my Galaxy S2X using the Wear app (like normal), then paired it as a bluetooth device with my iPhone (using the Bluetooth menu in the watch settings)
Enabled ADB Debugging/bluetooth debugging on the watch and in the Wear app, and connected at least once to the shell (so it can authorize and remembers the device ID). Instructions here.
Factory reset the watch, and then paired it using the Wear app on the iPhone
Make sure you do not "Forget" the watch on the Android device!
On the Galaxy, I went into bluetooth devices and the watch was still paired so I tried to connect (the device name matched what the iPhone found it as). I got a pairing request on the watch and accepted it.
In the Wear app on the Galaxy, I went into settings and down to Debugging Over Bluetooth, the Target showed as connected.
Try to connect to BT debugging as normal (as shown above). The Host should now show connected in Wear on the Android phone.
Download and use 'adb -e install' as much as you would like to install APKs!
As a note, obviously any wear app that requires a companion app (Wear Mini Launcher ) won't work properly.
I've synced Google Maps (which works great, and I'm not sure why it's not packaged with Wear for iOS), Calculator, a few games, some more watch faces. It makes the watch a bit more usable!
With this, I've also been able to enable wifi using a wifi connection manager app (and sending input to the device using adb to "type" the password), which allowed me to add an FTP server to push more apps + music + watchfaces + almost anything I want, enable wifi debugging and so much more!
If anyone is able to try this and reproduce the same results, could you report back here? This will be helpful to anybody that is stuck with an iPhone like me (work provided) may now have more use for their watch other than as a glorified heart rate monitor!

@Skellums were you able to ever recreate this? I just switched to the iPhone and I was hoping to at least sideload Google Fit, I don't know why it didn't just come built in. I wish AW 2.0 would get here already

I haven't been able to try as I'm afraid of losing the connection!
I think one step I left out of the original post was I tried to do the command to sync it with another device (using ADB) found here. While connected and paired with the Android phone, enable ADB debugging and run the commands. Then factory reset the watch, sync with the iPhone, and attempt the Bluetooth connection from the Android phone again.
Again, I know I did a bunch in between so I'm not 100% certain on the exact sequence of events that caused it to allow the ADB connection. If I had another watch to test with I would but I'm worried if I factory reset I won't be able to recreate the connection, or it might factory reset back to the exact state it's already in allowing the connection already.

Help with icon callisto 100!!

Ok i just got ICON Callisto 100 which I understand is same as omate smartwatch. i'm having several problems that i hope someone can help me with.
1. when i plug the watch (in cradle) into the computer(with the watch turned on), nothing happens. i mean it doesnt show up anywhere on computer as a drive and i want to install new watch faces that i downloaded already to computer. how do i get it to show as a drive? is there some setting i'm missing on the watch to do this? a walkthru from someone that knows would be great!
2. I dont have a sim card in the watch, its just a slave to my htc one phone. i get weather, email, and contacts already got downloaded and seem to update fine. HOWEVER, when a call come in on the phone, nothing happens on the watch. the call doesnt show up and no option obviously on the screen to answer or ignore. help!!!
3. when i get an instant message on the phone, it doesnt show up on the watch. so messaging is apparently not working. help.
Any step by step help with all of these would be much appreciated! thanks!!!!
Unless you turn on USB Storage on the watch, it will not show up on your computer. This is typical for most Android devices and is so common place that I can't even find a guide to link you to.
The Callisto 100 is not really designed to be used as a companion smartwatch so unless apps are installed to add this feature it will not work as a companion. The Master/Companion app for the TrueSmart are specific to the TrueSmart. If you want full TrueSmart compatibility you have to flash the TrueSmart firmware.
I would also suggest that if you have not rooted or run the EnSec Patch, to do so immediately

"can't connect to the Internet"... Help !

Anyone run into this? I'm setting up my brand new watch with my moto x.
It pairs, and then does the initial setup (app installs, sync, I assume... Where it says "just a sec"... It does that for 3 minutes or so, then I get the" can't connect to the Internet "error.
I've tried a factory reset, I team through the list on the Google website, etc... Nothing fixes it! Any clue?
Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk
Did you pair via BT Settings or via Android Wear APP? You should NOT pair via settings. It needs to be done via the Android Wear APP.....
Can you see the Watch in the Android Wear APP?
Did you perform a Factory Reset on the Watch or on the Phone - or both?
If it says there is no internet connection -> Does Internet work on the Phone?
Using WLAN or GSM for Internet on the phone?
Any Blocker / Firewall etc installed on the Network/Phone?
Google NOW works on the phone?
I also have the same issue.
I had the same issue and tried following the usual advice from LG and Google abut making sure the apps were up to date etc. Then I hit upon the idea of turning off my wifi and using the phone network to download the firmware update - this worked. I can only assume this is something to do with my broadband supplier (possibly BT's Parental Controls). Give it a shot - it might work for you.
I have the same problem pairing with my LG G2, It was succesfull the first time I associated the devices but after a watch reset I always have the 'no internet access' problem.
I tried with a factory reset of the phone without results, but the watch is able to pair with the old Samsung S3 I used for a test.
I found nothing worked to pair the LG G watch to my Nexus 7/2013. Because I had been using the Nexus 7/2013 with a Moto 360 and I had a bunch of wear applications installed on the Nexus 7.
So, instead I found another device running 4.3+ (actually 4.4.4) and used it to setup the LG G watch. The steps were:
(1) Find device with no previous wear apps, and Bluetooth settings not paired with LG G watch.
(2) Install android wear app from play store.
(3) Turn on blue tooth.
(4) Pair LG G with android wear app (but not using device bluetooth settings).
(5) Do not get ahead with the android wear app. After pairing just wait at the "Turn on watch notifications" screen until the LG G watch finishes "Downloading*, Install, and auto restarting.
(6) Complete the steps in android wear app.
(7) Complete the steps on the LG G watch.
Unsure why this works, but it did for me.
This was preferred method rather than uninstall all wear apps from original Nexus 7/2013.
Oh, and if you decide to re-pair it with the original device, e.g. my Nexus 7/2013, you have to be very patient until all the original apps are re-installed. You can check on your Nexus device in Wear Mini Launcher, Behavior, Launcher exclusion apps to see how many apps you installed.
If some are missing you can reinstall from Play store. I had to reinstall Wear Mini Launcher and Calculator For Android Wear (Wearable Software) app for whatever reason.
Good luck.

Clear Bluetooth pairing
The way I was able to resolve the "can't connect to the Internet" issue was by going to my phone's bluetooth settings and found the existing LG G Watch device and removing the existing bluetooth registration by clicking 'Unpair'. That was the only method that worked for me after trying to "Reset device' on the LG G watch didn't work and uninstalling and reinstalling the 'Google Wear for Android' app didn't work. Once I removed the existing pairing and did a device reset everything behaved normally and stopped getting the "can't connect to the Internet" error. Hope this helps.

How is bluetooth doing?
I preordered it a couple of weeks ago but I am a little bit worried about. I still can withdraw the order.
I have Sony's SBH54, Bose QC35 and a Peugeot 2008 car stereo, just to explain the case.
Thanks for the help.

Has anyone said there is issues with Bluetooth? I don't have Bluetooth in my car anymore but I had issues sending some files
Sent from my Sony Xperia XZ1 using XDA Labs
It has been reported by one fellow on the Sony's forum but he was the only one. He talked about car stereo on a bmw x1.
Curiously, symptoms was similar to the nexus' oreo Bluetooth problem.
I suggested him to get in touch with the car dealer but when I found the nexus thread I became a little bit worried: I have to drive a lot for commuting and I need noise cancellation at work, hence car stereo and qc35.
I had a Z5 and recently bought the XZ1. I use bluetooth on my car stereo on a daily basis and never had issues with the Z5.
The XZ1 however, is a hit and miss. It would connect fine but sometimes it either won't display media information or I won't be able to use media controls on my car stereo. Most of the time it would work just fine.
A solution which worked has been setting AVCRP to version 1.4 by developer options under the Bluetooth section.
QC35 are still to be tested because they've been sent to service, but car stereo and Sony SBH54 are fine.
I've already reported the solution to Sony's tech support.
XZ1 compact here.
No problems with my QC35, also no problem with my old car's bluetooth handsfree system (2005).

Old things used to be built better.
Thanks for the QC35 check.
I have noticed delays connecting initially to devices but fine after. I have noticed connection issues though with the new "near bluetooth" protocol. I can't connect to a Roomba Braava Jet at all.
Just found this, trying to test as we speak.

I have no problems using my xz1 with my srs-x11 and my peugeot 208 Bluetooth system. Mine works fine
XZ1 Compact Bluetooth complete failure
I have issues with all Bluetooth devices I regularly used with my previous phone. That includes a few portable bluetooth speakers like Ion Plunge or Philips PixelPop (connects but music does not play, hit or miss, had to forget and reconnect the devices manually almost every time), 3 different brand car bluetooth handsfrees including Volkswagen Go! bluetooth system, Opel Vauxhall integrated bluetooth, Renault Traffic integrated bluetooth. On car bluetooth either information is not displayed on the screen or device cannot be controlled from the car controls, sometimes when autoconnected to Volkswagen Go I see mute sign on the screen when my phone is not muted and music supposed to be playing. So much frustration considering that I got used to not having any issues with my old iPhone that I personally hated for many other reasons.
In case you guys haven't seen yet, there's various fixes coming with android's november update that should address most, if not all of those issues.
EDIT: I stand corrected, the mentioned updates are for the Nexus/Pixel devices, though I'm sure they'll be integrated into the Xperia device's software as well eventually.
I don't know where to put this, but this is the first thread that shows up on Google so I'll put it here.
I have had nothing but issues pairing my phone to the radio on my Hyundai Elantra. The headunit would report that it pairs successfully, but my XZ1 compact would never actually connect. Eventually "ELANTRA" would appear in my phone and the only Bluetooth feature available is Contact Sharing.
A few weeks ago some random method of me pairing and unpairing got it to work and I left it alone. I recently had to wipe my phone and start over, so I had to figure out how to pair this stupid thing again. I took note of what I did so I could share for others (and for myself when I have to wipe my phone in the future).
Delete all stored devices on your phone and headunit, and then go through the pairing process again. At the moment you successfully type in the Bluetooth pin code and hit pair, kill the power to the headunit. In my case, the radio lady was in the middle of saying "pairing complete" when I turned the key off.
The phone should switch from "Pairing" to "connecting", at which point you can turn the key back on. It should finish pairing and connect.
Hopefully this helps someone
I have a plantronics BT headset paired to my XZ1 compact and it kept disconnecting and reconnecting the next second. Sometimes the BT would show that is is connected but when i make a call, it isn't connected to the BT headset. I emailed support and follow their instructions below and still have the same problem, anybody experiencing the same? Hope there is a solution to fix this problem soon.
Thank you for contacting the Sony Xperia support centre.
With regards to your query, kindly be advised to switch your phone to the safe mode, under the safe mode, please reset your Plantronics BT earphone and pair with the phone again.
If the device performance improves in safe mode, it’s likely that one or more downloaded applications are affecting the device negatively. Like the others I also have problem with the Bluetooth after updating to Android 9 on my XZ1.
The problem is on my car Head unit, I can play song thorugh Bluetooth without any problems but when I receive a phone call or make a call although Bluetooth is still turned on but the voice come from the phone and sometimes it switches between the head unit and the phone repeatedly so I have to turn the Bluetooth off and answer the phone. About Bluetooth Avrcp which is on 1.6, some said if you put it on 1.4 might fix the problem but it didn't. And I also checked the avrcp For Android 8 is also on 1.6 and I never had such problems on Android 8. This all happened after updating to 9.
It's been months I'm searching for a solutions and I'd be grateful if someone could help.

Pixel 2 non-functioning screen, options for using ADB?

Greetings fellow techno-wizards! Got a big problem that I'm hoping you can help me with.
Long story short, my trusty Pixel 2 had one too many drops, now the screen won't turn on and won't respond to touch. The logic board is operating, and I haven't rebooted since then, so I can unlock with the fingerprint sensor.
I plan on getting an Pixel 5 when it releases, and have an LTE Tablet to limp along until then.
My biggest problem is authenticators on my phone that I may or maynot have the backup QR code for, as well as many other things I'd like to get off the phone before I retire it.
I have the following things at my disposal:
Pixel 2, with USB Debugging turned on, and recently trusted the PC. No screen, no touchscreen.
WearOS watch paired to phone (can get notifications and texts)
Bluetooth Mouse
Wired mouse with USB to USB C adapter
Chromecast
Win PC with Scrcpy installed, already tried to use it to show the screen on the PC, I'm guessing its been too long and I have to press a notification to trust the PC.
The Goal:
To cast the screen to a chromecast and pair a bluetooth mouse, and/or get Scrcpy working by accepting the dialog that I can't see. This would allow me to use the migrate tool to the new phone I will eventually get.
I tried long ago to use a USB C to HDMI adapter, that doesn't work. Google wants you to use a Chromecast for such things (Thanks a ton Google )
The thing I need to figure out next is how to use ADB to force the phone to start casting to a Chromecast, or to remotely accept the dialog. The wired mouse with adapter should work to control the phone instead of the touchscreen, but without any video out, I'm clicking blindly. The microphones are working, but I've never tried to command the assistant to start casting before.
Can anyone suggest the next step I should try?
Just had a thought, there are accessibility features for blind people that would let them use the screen without seeing it. Is there any ADB command to enable these features? If I plug in a keyboard, is there a keystroke combination to turn them on?

Since you say ADB is enabled on the phone you should be able to pull out by means of ADB-driver the data in mind to your Windows computer.

Question P6 Bluetooth Problems

My p6 will see most some of my Bluetooth devices (laptop, tablet, TV, earbuds) . It pairs with the earbuds, but everything else it will try and pair, usually does not. If and when hen it does pair, that pairing is dropped dropped within 5 secs. Cleared BT cache, rebooted. No joy. It will show no paired devices.
Network reset.
Clear system cache.
Hard reboot.
Do not factory reset; find to root cause as it will likely reoccur otherwise, eventually.
It may be a 3rd party app, try in safe mode.
Try rolling back associated apks to their factory load versions if updated.
Double check permissions and settings.

You play with bt settings in Developer options?
Is power management active? This doesn't fit power management's profile for erratic behavior but maybe it got "smarter".
Played with BT in developer. I will give power a try, but I don't understand why the buds and car are seemingly 0k. I haven't the chance to be in the car for an extended period.

Think about the clues.
Are the other devices configured properly?
Check Event Viewer in Windows for error messages, it might tell you why this is happening.
Try some Google searches for similar issues, it can be other devices and OS versions. Many issues span both. With a newer device this strategy works many times.
To see if power management is active Developer options>standby apps, all buckets should show as active, otherwise power management is running. It can't be disabled here though.
Power checks out. I tried to send a file from the tablet. Phone showed the attachment, file failed. Was able to send a file to tablet using "nearby device"

Do it to the PC and see what error messages Event Viewer shows.
Sent file from lap top to P6. P6 paired and accepted. Closed send window on LT and P6 dropped connection. Sent another file and did not click finish on LT and P6 remains connected and LT acts as trusted device for Smart Lock. The purpose here is not having to get frustrated with the FP sensor while at home. Using Trusted Location enables an area with nearly a half mile radius
It's not just bluetooth, it has to do with the Wifi+Bluetooth implementation. You can reliably crash System Settings after a factory reset if you type a wifi password wrong on the same network more than once, or if you attempt to connect to the same network with an incorrect password too many times. Attached "proof" (not really proof but). Once it crashes it'll restart setup but won't let you continue past Network Setup.
I could not get my Android Wear watch (Fossil Gen4) to connect. It was seen once and tried to but the bluetooth stack crashed. Even after a reboot, settings reset, forgot the device, and factory reset the watch it would not work.
My Pixel buds connected via fast pair and "worked", but the phone refused to identify them as Pixel Buds and I could not use the dedicated settings app. Same thing with my Galaxy Buds Live, the Samsung Wearable app would not find the buds even when connected.

This sounds similar to my problems. Try and contact support (took 50 minutes for a call back) and get it into their system.

I'm sorry you're dealing with it I've since factory reset the device and haven't tried crashing anything, so things seem to be working so far. I have an RMA P6 on the way already due to terrible screen tint issues on my phone. Took over 3hrs (1hr waiting for chat to be available, 1hr in line on chat, 1hr on chat)
I may try a reset when I am bored. Gr8 you have a new one coming
