HELP!! My Z2 got Bricked!! - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello... i have problems with my Xperia Z2....
After i changed new battery for my Z2, suddenly got bricked... just red LED on only... already change another battery and tried used old battery, still same....
I tried plugged USB to my PC and already installed Z2 drivers too.... but it just got "USB Input Device" so my Z2 was not detected.
Then i checked it by hardware but it seems not any problem at hardware.... how i can recovery my Z2? Please help me...

Looks a lot like the problem I have, after changing the screen. Also "the red light of Death"...
Check here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/help/changed-lcd-dead-battery-t2979912
Maybe the heatgun / hairdryer destroyed something on the inside?
Good look. Hope you find a solution...

Can you try to take out the battery and then connect the usb to a charger (not computer).
Do you see a batterylogo on the screen then? Then it is almost for sure the exact same problem.

I am still looking for solutions (every day ), but did not find any yet...
This is a problem that exists on the Z1, Z2 and Z3, so if one can solve it, then many people are happy

Yeah, me too.... i am love my Z2 so much... 2 years with me and nothing problems until i changed the new battery :'(

I beginning to think that it is not hardware, not a difference in drivers/firmware incompatibility, but a sort of failsafe that kicked in when you change hardware.
Not sure how to search for solutions :/

I saw your post and was searching for solutions and i found this, its for Xperia Z and the method can potentially harm the device if not done properly but its worth a try if you have the required tools.
And I'm not responsible for anything that goes wrong after you trying this

Thank you but this is to unbrick a phone to force the phone to load the battery (andthat is a common problem with the Xperia Z-Series too!
If the connector is bad, then one can use the magnetic charger. This charger has its own connector on the inside of the Z2. (and I tried that too )
But thank you very much for the tip!

[Q] The keyboard background light(X10 mini pro)

Hi! I had this problem a long time now.
The keyboard background light is stronger on the left side, than on the right side of the keyboard.
Am I the only one with this problem?
Please can someone help me.
Regards Paul
Same issue. I was told to reflash but I haven't done that yet.
Same problem here =(
On my keyboard right side has almost no light. And vibration is not working. So I just turn the light off.
got exactly the same problem, dont see how a reflash or hard-reset would help.

it won´t. it is a hardware problem.
you could probably try take it back to the retailer you bought it from.. They might but most likely won't do anything.
Got not problems here. Had this phone for 2 months now. Maybe it happens over general wear and tear?
mine is at the TS atm because of the keyb light and wifi problems. i'll let you know if they solve the problem
Hey, that's happens to all SE phones FYI all of you, u can ask some of ur friends with other SE phone and its always stronger keyboard light on the left

I would attribute it to the overall build quality and not to wear and tear, as mine lost vibration and got problems with keyboard light in less than 2 weeks, during which I practically never used the phone.
So if almost everyone has it, maybe It's the placement of the LED in the keyboard?

about the 0% battery issue

i was just reading the topics about the 0% issue, when my brain suddenly thought of an idea. a lot of people have tried to find out what's the source of this issue. but, unfortunately, all we actually know is that it happens when the phone is being downgraded from 2.3.4 to 2.3.2. there has been a countless number of logcat outputs, and whatnot, but nobody has really figured out the root of the issue.
so, what my brain thought about is - have someone with this problem actually looked at what's happening in the bootloader? not the kernel, not the ROM, not the hardware, but bootloader? maybe there's the problem?
i'm not too educated about Android bootloaders, i don't know if that can even happen, and i don't know if the bootloader is user-accessible to rummage through it to look for something, it's just what i thought about. kind of a noob idea actually
hm... i guess nobody really cares?

Sorry to disappoint, but that "idea" of yours is thought of looong ago...
And I can't see what's weird about software damaging hardware?
If you upload bad software onto a chip and now it doesn't communicate with other hardware components the way the main software expects, that chip is pretty much dead.

When I say "broken" I dont mean "cracked".
If you have dropped your device and then the screen doesnt work, common sense dictates that the screen is now faulty.
It could be that the digitizer cable has come loose or has snapped. It will need to be opened and looked at.
I dont really see what you expect anybody here to tell you other then to get it looked at. There is no magic words that can help you, sorry.

You dropped your device and then your screen doesn't come on anymore and for some reason you think it was a "software" problem?
Cmon dude, do you have any idea how silly that sounds? Ofcourse its a hardware problem, common sense dictates that if you drop your device and then it doesnt display anything that you have damaged something.
In the extreme unlikely event that it is a software problem you can check this by booting your device into recovery mode. If you get recovery on screen then try re-flashing kernel or rom.

Xperia Sola Freeze!

Hi !
Need some help and some guidance from the members regarding a serious issue with my Xperia Sola
The main issue with my Xperia Sola is that the screen freezes 2 or 3 times a day on various situations like when i am browsing on the internet or just browsing thru menus and or even when i write a text message. A random freeze i can call it! The screen freezes and looks like when you're watching a 3D movie without glasses. it's a bit..i don't know the exact term to decribe it but looks exactly like i said. So, after that it becomes unresponsive and the only thing i can do is to restart the phone using up volume button + start button at the same time! Then, it's coming back to life and...i am waiting for the next **bleep** freeze again!
The phone is upgraded to the latest version of android 4.0 with the Latest available software: 6.1.1.B.1.54. I allready performed an repair thru the pc companion on my pc and also tried SUS but the problem is still there.
I don't know wether is a hardware issue or a software issue!
Any ideeas?
Thank you!
Might be hardware issue.
Does I happen on clean firmware with no apps installed other that come with stock?

Likely the GPU, makes no difference if it's GPU CPU ram or anything else that's on the mainboard they are not going to fix it just replace the mainboard.

holy sh..! i guess that would be expensive, replacing the motherboard and stuff !
i will send it these days to the local sony service if you trust that is 80 % a hardware issue!

Well I'm not an expert, but since it happens after flashing clean firmware as well it seems to be some kind of hardware issue even if it's a loos contact.
Won't be cheap question is how exensive.
See if it's worth you repairing or buy a new phone.

Yeah, got the same advice from someone! I'll see if it's worth repairing! I really like this phone
I'll keep you posted ChikeD and thank you so much for reply!
