Nevermind, got it to work, but texting does not work, but phone calls do

Texting works fine here, as does my sd card? maybe check and make sure it's using the right APNS?

went to work and internet stopped working! seems the included APNS don't work very good. I created my own and it came right on. I'm using ST sim

How did you change the apn a walk through would be greatly appreciated.

settings, more networks, mobile networks, access point names,
I deleted all that was there, and hit the + button at the top....then fill out ur APNS, and hit the three dots on the right and save...

I don't get the option to change my apn all I get is just to change the lte modes and change auto to home sethings

It will run, the problems are with the data/verizon. It does not run as well as MOL or darkload tho..which those both have verizon network problems too though.

Don't know about the verizon part, I'm using a straight talk sim, on ATT and it works GREAT! the only problem is that it doen'st mount SD card when connect to the PC! other than that the rom has been reliable for me!

Looking to port MIUI to VZW Note 2

I'm trying to port MIUI to the note 2 but don't know how to re-sign a jar file (framework.jar). Can someone assist?
As of this second I have working phone calls, but signal bars are not working, and no data.
EDIT: Phone status shows connected to either EVDO or LTE network, depending on what I force, but no data. I'm thinking its an APN problem, but I do have the correct APN's in /system/etc/

I guess I should have been clearer... I'm trying to port MIUI with a touchwiz base, from sprint to verizon. Making slow progress, but really need someone with more knowledge than I have,

Yes, and that's what got me working voice. I can see that my phone is connecting to the LTE network or the CDMA/EVDO network in settings/status, but not getting data. I think MIUI is ignoring the APN config.

Update: I have data working on VZW Note 2, both 3G and 4G, but I need to have the dialer modified because it's force closing with every phone call. Would love if someone could help me out with that.
MMS receive is working, but send is giving me an "invalid destination address"
Need to put ERI.xml into framework.jar to get it to say Verizon Wireless inside of "roaming indicator off"
But I almost have a fully working ROM. Any devs interested in lending a hand?

Yes the most recent version of my rom is very stable. If it's your first time running it, there are some manual fixes involved to get everything working, but everything works great once you get it setup.

CM11 working for Developer Edition

This is the discussion thread for Hashcode's release of CM11 for the Note 3 Developer Edition. Do not flash on a Verizon Retail device. It will brick your device.
To download the ROM, go here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600883
cam30era said:
I take absolutely no credit for any of this. I did a little research and flashed the international N3 version of CM11 on my DE this morning. It's working fine so far. FWIW, I've not tested everything, but after one hour I've not found any notable bugs other that speaker phone (mic doesn't work).

For Gapps, go here >http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
You'll have to edit APN settings to work on our Verizon network. Go here >http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535920&page=72
Note that at the bottom of post #718 it explains how to get in to APN settings, which are grayed out.

In the OP I posted a link on how to access APN. Quoted here > "OK so I was messing around in settings under mobile networks when I pressed carrier settings it immediately FC's settings but when I went back in mobile networks I got two notifications (just ringtone) and I now have access to my APN settings. Weird huh anyone else done this?
Edit: I have to hit ok on the fc prompt and go back into mobile networks before the notification sounds. If I'm fast enough the access point names won't be greyed out anymore"
Be sure to click "save" before exiting editing APN.
This does work. But after changing APN to VZWinternet, we still have the same two problems, i.e. can't send SMS and can't hang up from a phone call.
The problem is not with APN settings. These affect data, LTE, 4g, mms, etc. And we can edit APN for VZW.
I suspect the root of the problem lies in build.prop commands. I made a few changes to build.prop related to network, radio and ril. Result was either no effect or would not boot. This is too complicated for me....

To properly port a ROM, certain apks need to be ported. Basically....decompile all apks that are dependencies (framework-res, TWframework-res, systemUI, SecPhone......etc.) and swap over .9's and then dig through vital XML/Smali and copy over color codes and UI settings.
Most other apks can just be used as is though.

[Q] Can't activate cell service sprint "SlimKat"

Hi guys, did some digging last night, couldn't find anything... Asking now because time is a factor as I currently have no phone coverage...
I purchased a Note 3 with SlimKat on it last night. Had sprint check the ESN and it's fine, we tried to activate it but only the internet (Data) portion of the phone will activate. I can't get the actual phone service to activate. (Your account can not be validated. <--error message over the phone when trying to make any call)
Here are my questions:
1. Is there a way to force a refresh on slimkat so I can activate it? Or to manual go in and change the settings?
Sprints ## codes don't work with this OS.
2. Where can I find a factory Sprint rom (or one that is known good and will activate?)
I have TWRP and used it to clear the phone and re-instal SlimKat and the small app package they have with it.
Please help as I am running out of touch and need to contact some people for work today.... Thanks in advance.

Darklords version 5 aka the note 5 one and also the s7e but no 4G but I got 3g and mms and calling. From my understanding the newer cm does not have the needed blobs for 4G/lte. I recently tried resurrection remix nothing worked (Sim and imie and meid didnt show) but I loved that rom on this phone very snappy. If you get anything working more than I did make sure to hit me up

I've been using the Darklord Reborn S7E Rom with LSS kernel 3.9 for a couple of months now. I have all data, messaging, and gps working fine. Occasionally I'll get a random reboot, but not often enough to be an issue. But yeah, I haven't been able to get data on android 7.

Now's our chance, N900P community! Contact @haggertk if you're willing to help test his upcoming builds. Don't let the N900P stay on Marshmallow!
