What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices. The ROM will now also feature a White Indigo theme for all the ROM (framework, Settings and so on) and of course the newest Xperia Applications ported from the SystemDumps provided by the Sony community.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP.

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me @nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the zenfone 2 which from there xosp development has continued ever since.

FAQ
1. Read the thread before asking any questions. Perhaps your query may have already been solved.s
2. NO OT IN THE THREAD. Keep the discussion on the ROM itself.
3. Be polite to each other.
4. DON'T ASK FOR ETAs. I'm a student and I'll update ROMs as and when I get time.
5. Believe me, I would love to add LP bootloader compatibility, but unfortunately there are sync issues while syncing the source. So I really can't add LP compatibility. If you want to use the ROM, you will need to revert to stock KK & then flash it. I'm sorry, but I can't do anything about it. Apologies!
6. You're a user running an Official build and you don't know how to use Deltas?
Well, XOSPDelta is now fully fixed and operative!

I flashed the ROM. Its really good everything about it. I've been using for more than 2 days. Although, I'd like to make a suggestion that it'd be nice if you added an option to change quick settings while the phone is locked. By default its on and I can't find in settings to turn it off. I want to be able to choose to turn on or off that feature.
Also, I wanted to add that with this feature you can't change tracks while listening to music which is bummer.
Can u please suggest good kernal for this rom. Because stock kernal has some features missing like vibration control.
New build up guys. ALSO DO READ OP BEFORE FLASHING IT

Sry about the vagueness. When initially setting up the phone after flashing the rom, Gapps, and Xapps when entering any text, the keyboard only shows the microphone button like when using voice dictation on google keyboard. Tried to skip the setup but it loops back to weather you want to use data to set up the phone from skipping google sign in.

As the maintainer said, you could consider moving this to "android development" category so that more people can see this thread and try your rom!
Thanks!

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normally use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices so from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn add-ons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in standby till I decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, I will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing I mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

Full instructions here.
If you get an error message when flashing GApps you're probably running out of space in your /system partition. It is recommended to have 1GB to fit the ROM and the GApps ( The stock partition table has 512mb for /system). This thread has a good guide for repartitioning and this one has a great tool for repartitioning without Odin.
It comes with Cyanogen Recovery by default, if you don't like it you can flash alternative recoveries using IsoRec.
First time installing XOSP based to your phone, or coming from another ROM?
Make sure you're running the latest TWRP from Here
Download latest build,XOSPApps and GApps
Reboot recovery
Wipe data factory reset
Flash latest XOSP
Flash GApps
Flash XOSPApps
Reboot
Upgrading from earlier release or revision of XOSP:
Reboot recovery
Flash latest XOSP
Flash GApps if necessary
Flash XOSPApps
Wipe cache and dalvik
Reboot
I'll not support users and answer questions from users which:
- Are running a custom kernel
- Have flashed mods
- Modified system files
- Didn't follow my instructions
- Are unfriendly

First time installing XOSP based to your phone, or coming from another ROM?
Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked and you're running the latest TWRP
Download latest build and latest GApps (Open pico gapps recommended)
Reboot recovery
Wipe data factory reset
Flash latest XOSP
Flash GApps
Reboot and profit! (First boot takes time and boot animation is a bit scary, don't worry it's not a boot loop )
Upgrading from earlier release or revision of XOSP:
Download latest build and latest GApps
Reboot recovery

Flash GApps
Wipe cache and dalvik

Let me tell it once and for all.. this is not a one device rom. It has to be made for a no. Of devices. Not everything is cross compatible and plus the lead dev doesn't only want xperia crammed **** rom. He has things that he wants and thinks are right.
In short it's a no for the call ui.

Hi @jithumon its a great rom! Different UI altogether,
Things noticed.- Calender settings show white on white when theme is changed (tried N dark theme and Nickolas blackout and both same). Same noted if go to clock app- the clocks are barely visible if theme changed, homescreen cLock widget doesn't get centered unless maximized to fit screen.
Super Fast- battery drain is a bit higher then other cm systems. The task killer on drop down is showing on far left side.. Can this be moved to next to battery, clock etc. Also, lockscreen weather widget will make it even spicy. Maybe allow home page grid settings.
Thanks for this unique rom. feels great to have it.
