Quick Circle: How to remove "Settings, Music, Download More" - G4 Themes and Apps

So, I've been using the quick circle case. I like it, but I have to scroll through those bs apps to get to what i need. I'll never use them (I don't use stock music player, and settings and download more open up inside the phone, stop no point), but I can't deselect them from the circle apps. My phone is rooted, is there a way to remove/deselect them from my quick circle?

As I know, those are the default apps that are not allowed to deselect.

Too bad. To be honest I would be more than happy to remove most of default ones as Im using difrent apps.
I wonder is there any custom app that can handle quickciecle ?

I got rid of music by disabling, camera would be the same, don't know about settings and the download more sorry.

You can't even if you root it's just not possible until someone makes something or you flash a custom ROM

I found a tool that allows you to change that but only works with root.

Can you please share:laugh:

If i root it and install the app/tool and it works ill make sure to post it.

Some basic phone questions.(X10 Noob)

My battery seems to fly out the door, how do you close down some of the running applications? I don't want to download a 3rd party app just to be able to close browser or mediascape X_X
EDIT: Also, I am trying to delete some apps with Titanium backup, do yall recommend deleting Google talk, Play Now, User Guide and Use Support? And finally there is a toolbar that has 4 pictures (one with a dot and signals going up, one for blue tooth, one with a satellite dish letting off a signal and one that controls the phone, what do the 1st and 3rd ones control? I have no manual with this phone.
Edit Edit: (Lol) How do you set .mp3's for ringtone and notifications(and while we are at it custom wallpaper), and is there anyway to change the unlock process of the phone?
Really, thanks to anyone who answers even one of my 50 questions.

3rd party
On the beginning of the thread you said you didn't want a 3rd party app to close tasks. However you should use something like "advanced task killer". If you open the app you get a list of running apps and you can unselect the ones you want to remain running.
Then you get a 1 click widget that remembers that (un)selection, leaving those apps running and stopping everything else. Very useful.
BTW check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=767849
The beauty of android is the amount of nice apps available!
EDIT: Just in case you don't read that thread through:
careful with LCD Density Changer you need ROOT with Superuser and busybox or your phone will brick
So better to stay away from that one.
Ya at the beginning I didn't want to use a 3rd party app to close tasks, it didn't make sense, now I can't get enough of ATK.
I have 2 new questions for everyone.
One how can I access the internal memory from my pc? And 2 how can I change the background color in menus like settings, messages etc. The blue background is super annoying.

Any flashable alternative lockscreens for Streak?

There doesn't seem to be any alternative locksreen options for the Streak that actually flash the frawework as opposed to running as a application/service. Is this correct? Is there any reason why other devices (such as Captivate) have flashable lockscreens but the Streak doesn't?
Just curious, thanks.

No special reason i can think of, i always liked the donut lockscreen, but i doubt i will ever be having that on Froyo or Gingerbread.

For one it'll def be a lot quicker because it'll come straight from the system, and two you don't have to worry about double locks

Which app should be replaced for this to work?
Does the lock screen come from a system app or is it "built-in" to the kernel or some other part of the framework?
How can you make sure that the replacement lockscreen integrates into the system like the built-in lockscreen?
You make it sound simple, but is it?

Well it depends on the app, not all apss will install from that folder, in that folder of you rom, if its a custom rom that is, are all the system apps installed, like the browser, camera, launcher/launchers etc...
For instance, before i install a custom rom, i will go through deleting all apps i don't want and adding ones i do, from experience i know some do not install ok but most do.
So say, put Agile Lock free edition in that folder, install the rom and see if it works for you.
Just an example.

Your advice is offered as an "easy" solution, but without any basis. I personally could care less about using a different lockscreen, but if you are going to offer a suggestion you might want to think it through, test it, or make it clear that you have not tried it and have no idea if it will work.
And even though I knew that you could modify custom ROMs prior to flashing, perhaps the OP did not?

Well Marvin, no point biting my head off when you failed to answer his question as well, you know as well as i do, that its not possible to change the lockscreen of the Android OS itself as its very tightly integrated with the rest of the OS.
The solution i am offering is to simply install a 3rd party lockscreen and use no lock to disable the system lockscreen, i don't think anybody has another solution to the android lockscreen debacle.

i'm trying to use the custom lockscreen icons found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1690530) to replace the play music default icon on my 4-slot lockscreen within AOKP (latest nightly: 7/1/2012). every time i try to set ANY icon from this package, it tells me the error in the subject line of this thread, and i can't for the life of me find any solution online about this issue and how to fix it. can someone please make my night and tell me why i can't just make my lockscreen beautiful? thanks in advance!

[Xposed][2.2+] MinMinHide v0.2.0

Introduction
MinMinHide can prevent specific apps from being seen by the other apps(including launchers). Unlike other modules that hook into launchers to hide apps from launchers, MinMinHide directly hooks into the PackageManagerService to intercept the APIs querying installed apps. So MinMinHide can be used to hide apps from launcher, prevent games detecting cheating apps...etc.

If that is implemented, can MinMinHide work as a disguise of non-rooted device by hiding Supersu?
I tried RootCloak for that purpose, but it is not effective for many of banking apps..

Is it possible to hide an app from being seen by only one certain app? For example, hide "app-x" from being seen by " "app-z" but app-x can still be seen by everything else.

Looks like this will be a great app after additional features are added
The only thing I can see so far is that hidden apps still show up in the play store's "list of installed apps"
Is it possible to hide them from there too?
Otherwise, keep up the good work

Yea, if you have Titanium Backup, you can go to an app's "Special features" tab and under the "Play Store/Market" sub-category you can choose "Detach from market." It somewhat works..haven't messed with it in awhile, and it's a little bit buggy(apps re-appear in the list of installed apps in the play store every so often), but it does work. Hope this helps ya! :good:

I'm guessing this means you don't plan on adding the feature sometime in the future?
Titanium backup solution works, but I'd prefer if I didn't have to use it, one because of the chance of it not working, and because that's the only reason I have titanium backup installed now xD
I ticked an app to try the module, then left the app, even rebooted but the ticked app is still shown in the launcher (SlimLauncher) and the 'apps' menu in the system settings. So I guess I can say it doesn't work
Can I provide logs or something? Didn't see anything in the xposed logs but maybe I just didn't look closely enough.

I don't quite understand your question. Do you want to put Google camera at your homescreen? or do you want to just change the icon of the Google camera?
Well if you want to do the first one, then you just have to drag and drop the icon at your homescreen, and if you want to do the latter one then you should install a third party launcher.

Hello Digigoon,
I would like to do the same as iMaxime.
We do not want to change icon in HOME screen, we would like to change application triggered by LOCK screen icon.
That is... we may not be able to have the fast picture feature in-build in Honor camera app, but we would be able to launch the third-party camera app from the lock screen. May be more complicated than that, but could you please help us? Is this even possible?

You may try and freeze the native camera app and install the app you want. If there is no FC, then any shortcut will lead to Google Camera as it will be assumed as the default (only) camera app.
I´ve removed myself some useless system apps and some others just can´t be removed. Never tried camera.
Settings > Apps > Advanced > Default App Settings > Camera.
If you change it from there, doesn't it get changed from the lock screen?

You can use a method described by Paul O'Brian but you will have to dig for it a bit.
I don't recall specifically but he used something like
pm.hide.something
To hide the native app and use the one you want. After that, it will use your custom app.
Tag him in the post and he can clarify more.
