I've been having this issue where by I try to launch the camera application and the app crashes. An interesting thing to note though is that when I use apps such as snapchat, the only two cameras that the app switches back and forth are the wide angle lens and the normal lens on the back. I can't even access the front facing camera. Has anyone had a similar issue? Any known fixes?
Snapchat working fine here.. G5 international version. No crashes either.

As stated in the title of this thread, the front facing camera only seems to work in the stock camera app. I tried Camera ZOOM, google+ chat and the Qik designed specifically for the atrix. All of them don't seem to even recognize the front cam. This phone is running on GingerBlur 4.5. Any ideas how to fix this?
Anyone front facing camera flicker dark to light when using snapchat? It works fine on the app camera but on snapchat it flickers.

I do have that same issue, but I'd imagine it's just the app being problematic, as long as it works properly in the main camera application I wouldn't worry. Snapchat never works 100% for me on any device, probably being that it's primarily designed for Apple. Just my .02 cents
Mine does it when i swipe to switch from main vam to selfie cam...this will surely piss me off
Snapchat is know to have issues with the g5 but is the app not being fully optimized they issued an update to fix issues with the back camera but maybe some new issues popped up.
I have camera issue. My front camera will not turn on. Neither the wide angle camera. Only 16 megapixel is working. But if I will install 3rd party application then wide angel camera will work but not the front facing camera. I am attaching photos to grasp the problem. I have H820. I can't upgrade it or restore to stock because there is no tot file available for it. I reset a lot of times and follow every instruction but still stuck with the issue. I am living in Dubai. I wish some of you will able to help me to solve this issue. If I will turn to front facing camera it will be like old VCR video. And if I will turn on wide angle camera in stock app then app will crash. Please need help to solve this issue.
Anyone else having an issue with the camera zoom being messed up when I open it from within WhatsApp.
It seems to open a zoomed version of the camera. It's not the 1x zoom but it's not quit 3x zoom.

I (ecological reason) bought a Fairphone 4.
It's really not what I expect from a phone so I am looking to update some apps.
The main issue I get is this one on Camera.
Fairphone 4 doesn't allow to record video from the wide angle camera... Yeah... WTF !!!
It seems to be described on the sepcs, but why ??? How a camera can be reduced to not recording video ?
My old LG G6 does it with wide camera.
Whatever, I tried to use other apps as Open Camera, HD Camera and others but I doesn't find a way to switch, even for picture mode, from the main camera to the wide one.
Do you have any idea of which app I may use ?
