I just discovered that my 2 hand phone has been blacklisted after I bought it. But the blacklist doesn't apply for the whole country...That's ridiculous...

[Q] Unlocked Koodoo SGS2 no data on Fido

Hi,
Not sure if this has been posted, but I did a search and was not able to find any thread on this.
I have a Koodoo Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH T989D) that I rooted and unlocked. When I put my Fido SIMin, I can only make voice calls and no data connection, none of my cellular data app./browser can connect to the internet, WIFI is working fine. I used both the APN drawn from the SIM card and manually set them according to the Fido forum, and both doesn't seem to work.
I've enable Data Roaming and still no luck, has anyone sucessfully unlock a Koodoo Samsung Galaxy S2 and got the data to work on the Fido network?
Any help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks in advance.
did you talk to your provider, they may have enable settings on their server.

Yes, I talked to Fido tech. support and everything is set propertly. I am still able to connect to the cellular data using my old iPhone 4 when I put my Fido SIM in.
Thanks
Like to add that this is a Samsung Galaxy SII x

S6 Edge not finding 4G/LTE networks

S6 Edge on Three in UK not switching to 4G/LTE.
Network search fails to find any 4G networks despite all four networks being found by another phone.
S6 Edge Network mode is set to LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect).
Any suggestions?
I can confirm my S6 Edge definitely finds Three 4G. Do you definitely have service? Which model and CSC?

Thank you.
Yes definitely had service. Tested it yesterday at multiple locations, with another phone alongside it. S6 Edge could connect to data at H & H+ rates but no 4G/LTE. A network scan revealed that it was not finding any 4G networks, yet same scan on other phone alongside it revealed 4G from Three, O2, Vodafone and EE.
It is set in the correct mode (LTE/WCDMA/GSM) but it seems that the phone is unaware of its LTE capability.
Does anyone know if there is a status screen or service screen that will show if the 4G/LTE bands are enabled?
SOLVED:
A quick wipe of the cache and the phone is now finding 4G/LTE networks.

Please could you list the steps how you have wipe the cache?
I facing same issues
SOLVED - FYI I just reset network settings by going - apps/settings/backup&reset/reset network settings and restored these to default. 4g came back instantly. Hope this helps

US Cellular S6 Edge on Cricket

Has anyone confirmed that I would be able to use a US Cellular S6 Edge on Cricket. I have read quite a bit of info on the subject and it looks like all the CDMA versions of the phone have the appropriate band support, although I may have to root it and enable them in the service menu. Does this sound correct? Thanks for the help!!
I just bought one from eBay 2 days ago. It's a US celluar s6 edge and it's working on cricket for me. The only problem I have is that sometimes it won't let me send text messages. I have to switch airplane mode on then off and it will work. When I try to add the apn it will save but after about an hour it gets erased.
The only problem I had was not being able to text when it was on 4glte. I rooted it and set my network to wcdma preferred and now I don't have any issues. Texts, calling and data all work great

S6 edge network mode issue works with gsm only. Any solution please

Dear
I have bought my s6 edge device about a month earlier. I am facing an issue that my device works with gsm mode only. When I try to change the network mode from gsm to WCDMA or LTE network goes out and messages appear not register on network and emergency calls only. I have checked the same SIM with htc and other galaxy devices and its working fine but when I try to do this with my s6 edge it shows the same issue.
Any solution please
Maybe try doing a factory reset?? What model is it again?
Hard reset done but issue is as it was. Model is SM-G925I

Galaxy s9+ not registered on network.

Hi everyone,
I am getting a "not registered on network" error with one of my simcards, but it's not as straightforward as it seems:
- the signal is good (3-4 bars)
- 3G and 4G data both work fine, only 2G (voice and SMS) is not working.
- if I put the simcard in network mode 3G/2G only (under Settings>Connections>Mobile Networks), the 2G and 3G will both work. So basically it's only an issue when 4G is active, the 2G stops working.
now the weird part:
- the same simcard works fine when I plug it into an iPhone (2G/3G/4G)
- another simcard with a different number from the same carrier works fine in this phone (2G/3G/4G)
- the same simcard does have similar issues when I plug it into a galaxy S7 edge, but only intermittently... it will work most of the time but once in a while I'll get the same 'not registered on network.' error.
I have seen a lot of people complaining about a similar issue on the galaxy S8 and am wondering if there is not something going on with the galaxy series.
In the meantime, I spoke with my carrier and they are sending me a new sim card. I'll try this and will report here.
What carrier are you on and what variant of the S9 do you have? What APN settings are you using?
Check your APN settings
Yes I checked the APN settings. Please note that they are working fine on another phone. It's definitely not that.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s9+ and had problem using LTE/3G/2G under "Mobile networks" setting. I changed the setting to 3G/2G and the problem is not coming back anymore. I am not sure if future updates will fix the problem with LTE or not. Definitely not the SIM card problem because I used and tried the SIM in different phones without any problem. Now I found another problem with my phone. When I try "Voice recorder" and recording conversation with background music when you playback the recorded audio there is a stuttering or crackling sound. Samsung please work on fix for these problems as soon as possible. I'm from Majuro, Marshall Islands.
