Are multiple OS' possible? - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

I am wondering if I can install multiple OS' on the Elephone P9000.
For example stock and Cyanogenmod and when I boot I can choose which OS I want to boot.
Is that possible?

Are you talking about multiboot?

Yes, I think that is the word for it.

It depends on whether the BootManager (or similar tool) has been ported to your phone.
And the multibooted ROM needs to support it.
More details here and here.

As in: select which OS to load?
Yes. MultiRom supports Ubuntu Touch and Firefox OS.

Can I do that with the bootloader? I don't want to stop using CyanogenMod.

After MultiRom is installed you can switch on boot as to which OS you want... Any compatible Android, Ubuntu Touch or FF OS.
Select which one you want as default... When you boot up you get some few seconds (like 8 or ten) to select something besides the default.
So long as your Android install is running a kexec-hardboot patch kernel, then you are good. Check the article I linked above for all details. One of the kernels they link to there should install on CM and then you are golden.
Can I use this on my moto g? The article talks about the nexus 4.

LOL - I guess that is my bad for assuming you have a Nexus.
I can't really comment on Moto. I guess you would compile your own build of Ubuntu Touch for your phone model???
Install multirom and check whether The ubuntu touch is enabled or not. On my nexus he did everything Aline!

[Q] How on earth do I triple boot my S3?

I want to triple boot my Galaxy S3 with the following:
A modded stock ROM
MIUI
AOKP or CM (Which is more customizable? I'll choose that.)
How on earth do I do it?
BTW calling not working well in MIUI
I don't think you can do that at least not on i9300
At most dual boot
Press thanx if i helped you in anyway...

in the past there was announced triple boot for devil kernel, but it has been quite a long time since then, and there hasn't been an update for some time now as well. but it was also announced that development continues again in nfuture so maybe your wish come true
(but i am not sure if miui is even supported there)
IMO it will be quite annoying to always switch between 3 roms. atm it is even annoying for me to switch between 2 roms.
@yoyololo
I wouldn't recommend dual-booting for most people, and triple-booting will just be a nightmare. There is a risk of permanently damaging your phone if done incorrectly.

Not siyah.Googy max would be necessary if you want to use the latest roms.
Try following instructions on the thread or better watch some videos for that on youtube

I've used this "Googy2-max"/"Googy-max2" (I forgot the name). I want to use SiyahMod for quadboot (Stock, AOKP, CM, PA, I know I can just use PAC, but it WON'T WORK) but it's not compatible. I tried...

Like @kunal1540 said, use GoogyMax kernel.
This will work for stock and aokp, but check which versions are supported. It is not possible to just use any version of the ROM directly. You need to check which ones will work from kernel's instructions.

I found something .... it says that we can install other Linux on currently running Android OS without removing it, like Ubuntu.

Nope.
As two operating systems would be running at the same time i suppose it would be laggy for my s5282.

GALAXY J6 (SM-J600F) Treble supported, arm/arm64 ?

Hi
I am trying to find any custom rom that could be flashed on my J600F device.
Long story short, there is not.
I learned (and checked) J6 is actually compatible with project treble.
Now, that i know i can flash GSI roms, i am still a bit confused if this device is ARM/ARM64.
Any clue ?

I don't know too much about the subject, but I read that you need GSI's that are ARM with ARM64 binders. Samsung likes using 64-bit chips to run in 32-bit mode lol

Thank you for the answer.
That's quite even more confusing unfortunately.
If anything comes up, like a GSI/Custom rom (i tried without any positive result) that you are sure it should work for the device.. PM me anytime

pls tell me what GSI rom did you install with complete package name of the rom, and link, thanks in advance. Hope you read my reply
For the record, the name that the GSI are adapting that are compatible with the J6 is called a64 or sometimes referred to as arm32_binder64
Not to be confused with arm64 which is completely 64 bits
So, the GSI are as follows:
arm - Not compatible with J6
arm64 - Not compatible with J6
a64 - Compatible with J6

AFAIK no one has done it yet with significant success.
Even if successful, hardware has to be shared or better splitted for two different systems. So performance will surely be decreased.

I really don't know, as I do not own this device myself and am not interested in dual boot option.
Pre-requirements would be to implement a dual boot feature to boot system(s) from different partitions.
I could not find such a feature implemented for your device yet.
