SD Card location - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

How on earth do you install the SD card in this phone? I thought I had it in correctly, but nothing shows up, doesn't detect the card at all
Anyone got a picture of an SD card in the tray, so I can see which way round or goes?

For me also never shows up.I
made a look with a lamp, and i think 1 Pin is broken. Also i get some scratches in the sim card from SD Card Pins. But 1 scratch is not showing up.

Figured out which way to put it in, it now detects it but says it's corrupted and needs to be formatted.
It works fine in my Sony phone and has my photos on it!

Make a backup on your PC.

As Unstable42 says, stick it in a PC, or hook it up via your Sony phone if you don't have a reader & back everything up. I had the same thing moving from my LG G3. Think it's because the OS sticks some files on there when it's first put into a new phone so it wants to format it. I suspect if the card was swapped back to your other phone after formatting in the P9000 you'd have the same issue, just speculating though.

That's what I did. The stock camera won't let you use the SD card

If you thought Google Wallet was a great idea but were maybe a little sad that you weren’t one of the four people that actually own an NFC equipped device like the Nexus S you may be in luck! A company by the name of Netcom is showing off micro sd cards they’ve managed to equip with tiny little NFC transmitters no doubt manufactured using tiny little hands.
So how does it work? Simply insert the micro sd cards into your non-NFC device and presto! Using an app already installed on your phone to communicate with the sd cards, you will be able to make wireless transactions in no time. The catch? Well, the NFC micro sd cards wont function properly in any kind of metallic sd slot (like those found on the Samsung Vibrant but if you own a solid plastic device like the Evo, you just might be in luck! Here’s a video showing off the whole painless process.

Maybe that is why samsung uses plastic construction for the back?

yah lol
Unfortunately it won't work in GS2,due to metallic sd slot.
Could maybe mod the slot?! How much would this be thought ?...
They could make a NFC SD card with external antenna wire loop I guess

Miui apps to sd

I am unable to move programs to my sd card it tells me there is not enough free space but the internal storage has 1.3 gb free and the sd card has 8 gb free.

Were you plugged into USB at the time? did it actually have write-access to your SD card? Try rebooting once. Could be one of the numerous glitches we are finding on MIUI....who knows.
No I was not plugged into the usb, I have also tried rebooting, I rebooted into the recovery and cleared both cache files. I also tried repair permissions.
No luck, I am pretty sure this started when I got stuck in a boot loop between builds then I had to odin back to stock and wipe data.
Afterwards I restored from my miui backup then this occurred.
I guess the only thing to try is to wipe all 3 and reinstall without restoring.

I was able to move them to the sd card after uninstalling and reinstalling each individual app.

Is there any way I could get data off it, it still powers up but drivers are not recognized on PC, tried kies, mobiledit but usb device is not recognized. Think Bluetooth and wifi are also switched off.
Anything else I can try or is it a lost cause?

I can now see the phone in Kies but it is locked due to a password needed on the device, no screen means I cant put in the password arrgggghhhh!!!
You can try to install custom recovery and then mount it to your pc if the display is not broken or you can look at the picture could be risky cause you maybwipe all data. Or you need to replace digitizer and the display

Display is totally gone.
Decided to leave it, he will have to get over it lol.
At least I now have a spare battery for mine.

[Q] Phone won't boot. Stuck at Philz CWM.

Hi guys. This is the first time i posted on xda. I've been hopelessly scouring through the internet for a solution and i hope you guys can enlighten my path.
I'm using Galaxy Note N7000. It was rooted and I'm using "AmniX"-Xperia Note GT-N7000 TW Edition. It works perfectly until yesterday when I drop my phone onto a carpet. After that, the horror started.
First, I can't access my photos, then I've try to mount back my SD Card as it shown NO SD CARD DETECTED in files explorer.
Secondly, I've try to restart it several times but no luck, take the sd card in and out but still no effect.
Thirdly, Restarted my phone and try to go to Recovery mode. After Samsung Logo booted, the Philz CWM is not working. I cannot see anything on the screen besides the button below. I've attached an image of that.

Next, I try plug it in to my pc. Again, nothing is detected. Installed USB drivers several times but still I cant access the phone's storage.
What can I do to fix this?
You can only access the phone's storage in recovery via adb. I'd first take out the SD card and see if it works in something else. Next I would update your recovery and try again. If that doesn't work, then Odin back to stock.

PRL manual update

I would like to update PRL from phone, manual update. Like other phones that have modified hidden menu apks. From playing with short cut master I found SPROmadmHiddenMenu. Which is part of Software Update, com.lge.lgdmsclient.apk.
Here is an image of the Menu. It seems to look for a PRL to write, I just don't know where to put or what name to make PRL file.

Here is stock LGDMSClient.zip. I can't decompile odex file on my phone, my computer is broken. If anyone can decompile and find out how to do PRL write test, then we should be able to write PRL to our phones.
The s3 used TEST.prl at the root of external sd card if I remember correct. Maybe the g3 can do the same.

I tried from internal sd, I will try external.
Let's hope to see if it works.
Update:
didn't work, could be my external sdcard is formatted with ext4 fs.
If anyone with a normal external sdcard can check please.
