This is the stock kernel for the T-Mobile SM-P607T Samsung Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) with the following additional features:
Multiple flavors for SELinux preference
CIFS kernel support

---Your samba share will now be accessible by all programs/apps under the /mnt/shares directory on root.

I do not know how to adjust the voltage used for charging. Although you did give me an idea to implement the force fast charging kernel mod. I am currently building a test release with the added patches... let the experiments begin!!!

Okay, I have updated the OP and added a new version with the force fast charge mod in place. I have only done minor testing to make sure the code was functional. I would suggest that you perform your own testing as your mileage may vary depending on the charging equipment you are using.

This will happen when you change the filename before attempting to flash or if the download completed with errors. Make sure you are trying to flash the file from one of the download links in the OP.

I see what you mean, it appears my file server is altering the file size upon upload.... I am looking into it right now- Will update this thread once it has been corrected.
UPDATE:
Okay, turns out it was the ftp program(FileZilla) I was using to upload the files to my file server. The files have been restored correctly and I have personally tested all three of the links by downloading from my file server and flashing in ODIN.

I flashed the kernel from here, and followed the steps, when i go to check /sys/kernel/fast_charge/info to see if it worked, all i get is permission denied.
no matter what kernel ive used in the past on this tablet ive gotten "permission denied" like trying to set up linux deploy or linux on android. I am rooted, I am using a Permissive kernel, Busy Box installed. So what gives?

So as i understand it, you can use kernels for older roms on newer releases right?
So for example, im trying out an unofficial lineage os rom, and it does not have fast charge support baked in, nothing through kernel auditor or 3c toolbox that can be changed. Could I flash this kernel and add support to the rom that way? The dinosaur charging speeds on this thing is really inconvenient if I ever forget to charge it overnight.

What is tegra_mpdecision?
100% kernel based multi core decision! (should cpu1/2/3 be online or not, do we need the low-power/ninja core now?)
This replaces the stock nvidia hotplug solution.
Check /sys/kernel/tegra_mpdecision/conf/ for the configuration.
startdelay = time until mpdecision starts doing it's magic (20000)
delay = time between checks (130)
pause = if something else plugs in the cpu, fall asleep for 10000ms (10 secs)
scroff_single_core = Force low-power mode if screen is off (1)
enabled = enable(1) or disable(0) mpdecision. This does not affect scroff_single_core!
min_cpus = min cpus to be online, cannot be < 1. Default: 1
max_cpus = max cpus to be online, cannot be > 4. (if you set it to 2 and min_cpus to 1 you will basically have a dualcore) Default: 4
idle_freq = a value against that will be checked if a core +/- is requested. (475000)
lpcpu_up_hsyteresis = minimum number of requests that have to be send in order to switch to low-power mode (4)
lpcpu_down_hsyteresis = minimum number of requests that have to be send in order to switch to g-mode (quadcore-mode). Overridden by a requested freq that is higher than the max supported lp-mode frequency. (2)
If cpu0 is below that value and a core up of another cpu is requested, nothing will happen.
If any other cpu is above that value and a core down of that cpu is requested, nothing will happen. (otherwise it would now put down that cpu even though it is still working, which isn't what we want)
Hot plug thresholds (aka now it gets 'complicated')
This small formula calculates which value will be used: (number_of_cpus_online - 1) * 2
The result of this formula will be the nwns_threshold where a new cpu is hotplugged.
The result of this formula + 1 will be the nwns_threshold where a cpu is unplugged.
nwns_threshold_x = runqueue threshold, if this is reached cpuX will be hot/unplugged
twts_threshold_x = time threshold, this amount of time must have passed for the related action to be taken (hot/unplug)
Example:
One cpu is online.
(1 - 1) * 2 = 0 ergo:
nwns_threshold_0 = cpu1 will be hotplugged at this value
((1 - 1) * 2) + 1 = 1
nwns_threshold_1 = cpu0 will be unplugged at this value
This will regulate when we switch to lp-mode, effectively replacing the quadcore g-mode core with the ninja lp-mode core.
Two cpus are online.
(2 - 1) * 2 = 2 ergo:
nwns_threshold_2 = cpu2 will be hotplugged at this value
((2 - 1) * 2) + 1 = 3
nwns_threshold_3 = cpu1 will be unplugged at this value
etc...
(all times are in ms)
If you want to see the mpdecision magic happening:

mpdecision's input event boost, aka project butter
This will boost your min cpu speed if you touch the screen or press a button and gives you full control.
In those events the min cpu freq will be risen to a predefined value (look below) on every online cpu. This boosts overall reaction times and smoothness a lot. (works similar to the qcom mpdecision binary)

All of them work like the usual sysfs files, except one special case:
boost_freqs will list all frequencies from cpu 0 to cpu x. Cpu 3 and any following cpu will share one frequency.
To change those frequencies echo the cpu number + the frequency in khz. To change the boost freq of cpu3 (and 4,5,6,7,8, etc) the echo would look as follows:

This kernel is too big for our boot.img with WLAN included into the kernel, so it is built as a module. That means it needs to be inserted into the kernel upon boot up, which needs to be automated for maximum comfort = userinit (init.d) support.
The zip adds init.d support to your ramdisk, if that fails for some reason the wlan module cannot be inserted.

Then init.d support is probably missing.
You can test it by going to /system/etc/init.d/ and executing 00wlan.

Wait a few seconds and try to enable wifi and repeat the above lsmod command (should now show bcmdhd as live, you can execute 01cifs and 02tun too).
If WLAN now works, init.d support is missing.
You need to have busybox installed in order to be able to get init.d support going, this shouldn't be a problem for most people, since it is usually installed when rooting your phone anyway (and who does unlock but not root their phone? :/)
It does not matter if busybox is installed in /system/bin or /system/xbin, my script will detect the location upon flashing and patch the ramdisk accordingly.
If no busybox is found, the script will add init.d support to your ramdisk with the default location: /system/xbin/busybox. All you need to do is install busybox there and reboot your phone.

I mostly adapted it to work with the lpcore while the screen is on and also with special power saving setting while the screen is off.
The 2 phase frequency was changed to accomplish that.
It also applies a powersave bias while screen is off.
Additionally I changed the settings to allow faster scaling with less load. (70% > freq incr)
Source is currently being uploaded, but since I kept the history intact it is taking ages. You can look it up there in more detail once the source is up

It just says failed, I've had no problems flashing anything else and I'm flashing mutilple times a day usually.

It most certainly does not say "failed" and nothing else. Look harder.
Using twrp recovery me and my beta testee had no problems at all.

It's either your custom recovery or a corrupted download, period.

If I try downloading it directly to my tablet the resulting file is only 17.51K in size, downloading it with a computer takes care of the problem.

Turn off the device completely, plug in the USB-cable, if you pulled it out and start the device by holding vol up + power till you see some white text on the screen, fastboot should be written somewhere on the screen, afterwards execute the following command on the PC (while in the directory you've downloaded the kernel image to).

Once more a warning READ IT!!:
BEWARE, when you reboot you'll boot to the stock kernel, you'll have to boot the custom kernel over fastboot every time, when you boot normally, you'll be on the stock kernel, this won't lead to issues, but you'll miss the benefits of this kernel, I know that's not optimal, but the best we can get with the locked bootloader.

File Explorer Method:
Go with a root explorer to /sys/kernel/logger_mode and open the logger_mode file.
Remove everything inside that file and put the number 1 to enable and 0 to disable the logger into it and save the file.

Sure, just go to D851 original development section, download the zip of rin, extract the boot image and do the steps described here, just replace the image name to boot, but I'd recommend simply flashing the zip

Unfortunately not yet, the bootloader has to be more or less tricked to be able to boot the kernel.

[MediaCenter] RPi-Media Center Beta

Welcome everyone to my RPi Media Center. This project is aimed at RPi 2 & RPi 3. Just a couple of things before we get started:​
This project aims to explain how to set up a complete multimedia center (mediacenter), a game station and a download server. All in one. Any use aimed at hacking / stealing content with copyrights / third parties without express consent is prohibited. This project is based on a set of free software that can be easily found on the internet. This project has no lucrative purpose, its sole purpose is to teach and educate people the configuration and use of the different programs. This project was originally maintained by AikonCWD and has since stopped updating the project, so i am taking it on board to get it back up and running smoothly again. Obviously there will and are hick-ups/bugs. Thus for the mean time i will keep the project in Beta until we have a fully functional release.
For DCMA reasons Kodi will be supplied with NO EXTRA ADD-ONS. Please do not ask about them Look HERE if you are such inclined to do so. We do not condone such behavior.

Okay Lets get started with the Installation, its pretty straight forward i have shrunk the .img as low as i can for the mean time. After Beta is done i will make more of an effort to shrink the file further.
Installation:
1. Download the preconfigured BETA-RPiMediaCenter.img image
2. Record the image on your microSD card :
-Windows : Use Win32DisKImager

8. (Optional) Verify that the partition occupies 100% of your microSD with the command:

After Install
It is recommended that you set-up a static IP for your Media Center. It makes things a whole lot easier if you're using Moonlight and Transmission.
Which can be done by:

Configure PyLoad (optional)
PyLoad is a program that allows you to transform your Raspberry into a direct download server . The PyLoad daemon is installed and configured, but it is disabled by default since not all users need to use it. If you want to enable and use PyLoad ... keep reading:
First of all we are going to configure the daemon so that it is auto-executed when turning on the Raspberry . Edit the cron auto-boot file with the command:

We are located at the bottom, locate the line @reboot pyLoadCore -daemonand remove the comment from the beginning, it should look like this: @reboot pyLoadCore --daemon( you have to put the 2 dashes in front of the word daemon ). Save the changes by pressing the keys: CTRL+ X, then Yand finallyIntro
You will have to restart your Raspberry to have the pyLoad daemon running, remember that Kodi turns on automatically, you must close it to return to the console.
We access PyLoad through a web browser using port 8000 , for example: http://192.168.1.100:8000
The default user is root and password root . In the top menu you can manage the user and change the password (recommended), just below you will find the configuration where you can edit the configuration, captchas plugins etc ... and add any premium account you have from the different hosts.
Overclocking (optional) DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I recommend enabling a bit of overclock , you'll get more fluency when moving through the Kodi menus and you'll noticeably boost performance when playing emulators. Your CPU will be able to perform faster calculations and access to ram memory or microSD disk will have lower response times.
Strongly recommend use some method of ventilation / cooling in order to avoid reaching 85C , since the RPI lower speed if it reaches that temperature
If you want you can run a benchmark (diagnostic) to test your overclock level, execute the following command:

Thanks for your feedback, I'm looking at updating it this year but I'm not sure when that will occur. The scripts don't work as stated. If you exit out of kodi you will be met with the command line which is where you run said commands to get them to work. Kodi is updating to 18 later this year so I might update the project to support 18 and the scripts till then this runs as intended.

Any idea what's happening? I tried default values and also overclock values, neither is making bootstrapping the OS.

Wich firmware version you had just before flashing ???
The vendor provided must match the firmware version that you have !!!

Reboot your phone right away ... then use your File/Root Explorer to test the mount RO/RW option and reboot again to check that there is no bootloop !

If you have the madness and the paranoia with security like Google, you can still re-enable AVB/Verity again ... But you will not be able to mount /vendor RW again even with root until you reflash the provided vendor.img again !
tune2fs -O verity /dev/block/dm-1

... so, I can confirm that this is indeed working nicely, flashed RW vendor for Surya, just for the sake of the functionality, because I'm not sure about benefits I can get from writeable vendor (forgive my ignorance)...

i use adb shell because terminal is too small for me, and for making tutorial.
the benefit ??? well there are a bunch of fixes to do in /vendor... check here for example
(the images i provided are clean with no modification, so i let developers or users doing their own modifications)

in recovery adb not needed, just use
dd if=/sdcard/vendor.img of=/dev/block/dm-1

this is not a flashable file, it's a command line.
open terminal in your recovery to do that.

Unzip and click on Minimal ADB and Fastboot.exe

i installed 12.0.7.0 global with magisk 22.0 then flashed vendor.img v12.0.7.0 but when restarted it stucked n i pressed power .phone boot but root explorer can't mount rw n just added shell in magisk

Question Managing battery charge

Hello!
My Nord 2 will be plugged in 24/7 because I use it for E2E testing. I need to optimize battery so it wont swell up.
Is there any working solutions for doing it? Or is there a way to put battery charging to idle so main power will be drawn from usb.
I tried Magisk ACC plugin, but it seems it is not running. Shell has supperuser power on magisk
ADB shell:

Also same error in ACC app, magisk have given supperuser access for that app:

Have you tried a slow charger or USB charging?
Refer to README > Troubleshooting.
This is a kernel/adapter issue.

Just noticed that you're not using the latest acc release.
Since you're facing issues, upgrading is a must.

I am using PC USB connection for charging. Should ACC daemon allways run? It works for a minute and then stop. Do you mean oneplus nord 2 battery charging management have same kernel issue as you mentioned in ACC thread?
I have tested different versions to be sure. v2021.8.31 came from Magisk for first.

This is usually a kernel and/or power adapter issue.
The daemon should be running to control charging.
The #1 reason for it to stop is total charging switch failure.
That is, all charging switches fail to respond.
In that case, it finds no reason to keep running.
Share a log archive (acc -le) and the output of acc -p.
Where can i get those logs? From /data/adb/vr25/acc-data/logs/ ? Might it be acc-logs-OP515BL1.tar.gz file?
Somehow "pull" and "cp" are not working on me with adb shell. Is there any better tools for pulling files and logs? There is many tools witch are not working with my phones and cant find root folders, google is to big.

I found potential charging switches.
Test the following commands one by one and report the ones that work:
su -c acc -t /sys/devices/virtual/oplus_chg/battery/mmi_charging_enable 1 0
su -c acc -t /sys/devices/platform/charger/enable_sc 0 1
su -c acc -t /sys/devices/platform/charger/enable_sc 1 0
su -c acc -t /sys/devices/virtual/oplus_chg/battery/stop_charging_enable 0 1
su -c acc -t /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/charger/usb_charger_current_suspend 0 1
Note
One/some of the commands may trigger a reboot.
That's not a big deal. Just move to the next on the list.

Since the device will be plugged in 24/7, you may want to run `acc 3920` to set it up.
Essentially, this will keep the battery voltage between 3870-3920 millivolts.
3920 is said to be the sweet spot for longevity.
Not 100% sure did it work, need to test it a litte to be sure. It seems it updated log

It worked! Ty! I set my swich to turn on 59% and off 60% for optimal ressult.
It seems that those are not working or maybe i have made some mistake somewhere:

From the documentation:

# When the battery is discharging and its capacity/voltage_now_millivolts <= sc and phone has been running for 15 minutes or more, acc daemon turns the phone off to reduce the discharge rate and protect the battery from potential damage induced by voltage below the operating range.
# sc=-1 disables it.
# [Beta] if the file /data/adb/vr25/acc-data/warn exists, accd posts Android shutdown warning notifications at sc + 5% or sc + 200 mV.
The last two features are not supported by all devices.
I'm yet to see a MediaTek device that supports at least one of the those.
