Drivers at windows 10 - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how to install drivers at windows 10?

You need to follow this guide to allow you to install unsigned drivers. It doesn't permanently enable the setting so once you've restarted after the driver install go through the process again before plugging the phone in & it should then recognise & install the phone.

PDANet ADB Driver Failure

I was trying to install PDANet yesterday onto my laptop, I follow all the isntructions during installation and allow the drivers to be installed. I choose Samsung as my phone. At one point it asks me to connect my phone to my PC, which I do. It proceeds to dl 4 things, 3 out of the 4 download and install fine, but the ADB Driver installation fails every time (this is windows downloading drivers, not the installation itself). I have tried finding ADB drivers on my own with little success.
to confirm before the question is asked, yes the USB debugging option is turned on. ADB driver just keeps failing to download and install using windows.
same issue with my HP laptop
Driver name is S3c6410 Android ADB

Xperia U adb devices not showing on Windows 7 x86

I've got an Xperia U (st25i) unbranded firmware 6.0.B.3.184, but my Windows 7 x64 doesn't show adb device at all, I have a working mtp device (that looks like it cannot be disabled). Same device works fine in adb on linux, even passing the usb device to a vmware machine with linux.
I've tried with Xperia_P_Xperia_U_Xperia_sola_drivers.zip and install PC Companion, but the adb devices still does not show, if I force add the adb interface from inf, windows 7 says it cannot start, there is same problem on windows 7 x86. Windows xp x86 instead automatically installs mtd devices but prompts for the adb device drivers, so I can give him the drivers. Any clue?
Make sure PC is connected to internet then connect the device in fastboot mode. Win7 downloads and installs drivers automatically.

I don't need fastboot drivers, just adb to develop, I'm always connected, but adb interface does not show at all in device manager, I don't have unknown/failed devices in device manager

You have the "wrong" drivers installed. Use the drivers provided with c:\flashtool\drivers
-> then turn off internet on pc before connecting phone. <- prevents windoze from auto install via update

The only driver windows automatically install is the mtd (that doesn't need internet because is in win), I don't have the device VID_0FCE&PID_5171&MI_01 but only VID_0FCE&PID_5171
It's a bit strange a common developer should download a non sony tool to develop with a sony phone
I had a similar problem with my XS, I get around it by enabling 'install PC companion' in connectivity settings under 'xperia'. Then when you plug the phone in, on your phone select install. It should then appear both as an MTP device the PCC installation, just cancel that latter.
I've used the wrong thread title, it should be x64 not x86, I've just verified that windows 7 32bit downloads and installs the adb driver, I had similar problem with gt7500 on windows xp 64bit, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434319
I've solved modifying the inf file, I think I cannot change inf on windows 7 x64 because the driver becomes unsigned. Perhaps gt7500 works fine on windows 7
Heh... You stiill refuse to listen.
Install drivers provided with flashtool. Just doit and report back
mt27i
tested with internet disconnected and drivers pack in flashtool-0.9.1.0-windows.exe, same thing, windows shows only mtp device

Tell Me how Please....:crying:
I just solved this issue for my Xperia S.
Here are the steps:
1. Install driver on flashtool (I also install the pc companion)
1. On device manager, open the MTP device, and select reinstall device driver
2. Choose install the driver manually and list the compatible driver
3. It would only show one "USB Composite Device" for this device and install it
4. After the driver installed, the adb device just shows up!

Trouble with fastboot drivers

Sorry if I'm being a noob here but I seem to be unable to install fastboot drivers. I've tried pointing driver installation to the usb folder I've downloaded and unzipped but in device manager the device just appears for a few seconds then goes off. I tried using flashtool and installing the drivers from the drivers section, as it told me but even though I completed the installation a couple of times it still tells me everytime I try to enter fastboot in flashtool that the drivers are required and that they can be found in the drivers folder and I'm getting a bit of tired of this. I can't root, unlock bootloader or do anything worthwhile without the fastboot drivers it seems.
Sorry again if I'm being noob I came from a galaxy ace and over there it was a lot simpler and the process of rooting, installing CWM and flashing a ROM did not even warrant the use of a computer so I'm pretty confused.

first check whether you checked the fastboot and flashtool drivers and installed.............if yes then try restarting your PC and then try again....... The problem u mentioned happens a lot(it happens to me)...... just be patience.......
Also try toggling between mtp and msc mode.

It's possible that your operating system (Windows 7 or 8) is preventing unsigned drivers to install. I've had the same issue and I could install the drivers successfully after disabling "Driver Signature Enforcement" on your Windows operating system. Reboot your PC and press F8 while booting. Then select " Disable Driver Signature Enforcement". Then install the unsigned driver.

Thanks. If that's the case I think I'll try it on my older Windows XP com.

[SOLVED] P760 Windows 8.1 fastboot won't install driver [CWM flash]

Hey everyone,
so I'm trying to flash CWM again on my p760 after i had to factory reset with the LG tool (since.... i'm dumb and had my cwm backup removed from my card before....... i hate myself), but since Windows 8.1 is a *** i'm just not able to install the omap drivers for fastboot. When i try to search the directory windows just tells me that no drivers where found, when i install them manually i get the USB Connected sound like every second and can't do anything.
I have searched up and down for solutions...but none of them worked.
I'd also tried the Nocturnal drivers (which obviously didn't work but i'm desperate)
I even tried a VM with Windows XP setup, but i can't get the USB to pass trough my 8.1 without having the nonstop USB Connected sound....
Is there any solution? Maybe a linux flash? I've been bashing my head against this problem for hours now and just want my recovery back
ps.: i also installed the Windows Hotfix for fastboot, but to no avail.
I gave up on it. Install windows 7 instead. With windows 8 you can disable signature enforcement and install driver correctly, but not in windows 8.1.

No. You should install the drivers then your phone should be recognised, follow the root guide in this forum.

tbh the drivers are very temperamental, as I have windows 10 I had to restart the Pc disabling the driver enforcement. I had the same issue as yourself but I uninstalled and reinstalled and fiddled around a bit to get the drivers to work.
Now they are installed with no issues.
I actually used the "SP_Driver_v2.0" .. found HERE
I have also noted that another driver (Driver_Auto_Installer_v1.1236.00.zip) is HERE but I think I had issues with that driver (dont know why)
The SP_Driver_v2.0 worked for me .. hope you get it sorted, i know how frustrating it is ;0)
Technically you can perfectly root without PC. But you need to have a custom recovery on your phone. To get the custom recovery, you need to flash it, using a PC.
But once you have the recovery, rooting does not require a PC, just the su binary.
If windows isn't recognizing your device at all, it might be a bad USB cable? I had issues with windows - ended up using linux.
i used SP_Driver_v.2.0 but doesn't work for me for preload, i connect my device and in device managment it is with triangle and it disconnects after 2~3 seconds and goes in offline charging. is there any preload driver for win 10 64 bit that actually works?
Same problem with my P9000.
Unable to get SPFT to see my device.
Tried hours, disabling driver signature, secure boot, many different drivers and SPFT versions.
It's frustrating. Can't update OTA to 20160810 version, FOTA installed firmware from july and tells me it's up to date.
Can i install newest firmware without PC and no custom recovery from device storage?
