Anyone have latest ATT RUU zip for M9? - AT&T HTC One (M9)

The RUU exe won't run on any computer I've tried it on, and I need a zip for the 3.38 update recently rolled out.

How far does it get exactly? Which operating systems have you used?.

I'm having the same problem. I am trying to run it on Windows 10. I try and open the RUU.exe, but it never opens the wizard. Can't seem to find a RUU.zip anywhere

I managed to fix it. HTC must have had a bad version up yesterday, but I looked this morning and I tried it again, worked with no issues. If you haven't redownloaded the RUU from their website, keep checking to see if they reupload it. Sometimes, they take it down and replace it with the previous version.

I got it to work, the version they had up before must have had a broken installer, because it would give me the same generic error. It's all good now.

Question though. Is there any harm downgrading software versions? The new RUU.exe they have says it's version 2.11.502.21 I have a newer version currently on my phone, but I would like to downgrade to fix some minor problems to say the least. Would I be okay in doing so?
**EDIT** Figured out it did not like downgrading, but after a couple tries I was able to successfully use the RUU.exe

Glad I could be of help. If you intend to, go for the S-Off. It's a life saver in this kind of situation.

Yeah very thankful I already was S-Off. It didn't want to downgrade at first, but after a couple more tries it finally did and now I updated it with the official 6.0 MM
Thanks again for the help!

Getting the old ROM back

Is there anyway to get it back to the original ROM? My Mogul has been having problems sending and receiving text messages since I updated...it gets stuck on 1X and just locks up. I'd really like to go back to the old ROM...is there anyway to do it?
I'm have problem too..EV-DO don't work, 1X only!
Are you just having trouble finding the ROM file itself? If so, I can post the previous ROM update.

You need the stock recovery on there. You can't have a custom recovery installed.
Thanks, is a link to putting the stock recovery back on?

i just got this update too - anyone have a detailed spec of the update?
well i have just RUU'ed the phone to stock and doing the 1.17 update, I have noticed that when I unlocked the boot loader and rooted I lost the free EA games on it and a few stock apps that I put back on (except the ea free games), also got a lot of calender app errors, I hope this update sorts it. Also until the mods and stuff are more updated etc i will keep it unrooted, as I thought to myself why do i need it rooted as im not flashing roms every day etc.
Plus not having an external SD hurts every time as I have to remember to back up all the stuff before flashing etc >.> <.<

update verification failed

I have a TMobile P769 and I am on 10E, I can't update to 10G or to JB because my phone gives the message "verification failed" after downloading a 24mb OTA package. Anything I can do to fix this?
Are you rooted?
Sent from my LG-P769 using XDA Premium HD app
yes. although i've done a factory reset twice for other reasons since root. however, I still appear to be rooted.
I had the same problem when 10g came out. I never solved it I just used off line flashing to get to 10g. Have you uninstalled any apk's that came on stock rom??
Yeah, I've uninstalled quite a few stock APKs, however, offline flashing doesn't seem to work with my phone for some reason. Maybe I should try again.

You may have to re-install all of the stock .apks before updating. I remember this being mentioned in another post somewhere because it is looking for all of those stock programs to update. There's a post around here somewhere with a link to a .zip file with all of the .apks and instructions about where to put them.
I'm in the same boat, but I have been trying to hold out for the new JB release. As soon as someone gets that working with Apps on SD I'll make the switch.
Maybe you already knew all of this and were hoping for an easier solution... in which case I will join you in hoping that someone has one.
would you happen to have a link to that thread haha?

Yes its rooted..Now to use TWRP since I could not get the stock recovery to work.
Nothing Just reboots....tried re-installing stock FW with the Flash tool and when I upgrade DL it gives me the Factory Reset Status 2
If I Upgrade Board DL.......I get to the OS but no recovery
Have current LG Drivers Current Flash Tools.......Im stumped (No Pun)

We probably will get lollipop via TWRP before ota. If not it won't take long to rip the required parts and package them for TWRP.

I have not, I'm 95% sure it works though. Try it before you need it though just in case. Also you may still not be able to take an OTA as you will be rooted and modded.

Here is update.zip pulled from cache on phone this AM, only 255MB, so just maintenance but at least is something to play with.

I must have been on too much turkey . As I could tell your stock rooted version can be "dirty" installed over ZVB. I am going to give it a shot later today.

I'm running 5.0.1 LS990ZVC unrooted. What do I need to do to root my device? Like, which guide is right for me?
---------- Post added at 12:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:06 PM ----------
How do I root my Sprint G3 if I am using the stock rom running 5.0.1 with LS990ZVC update?
This thing had a nasty battery leecher that according to battery usage under settings was from wifi calling which would never activate even though it would switch on and locate me. I froze the service/app and thought i got rid of the problem... Still there so i ended up reflashing the entire rom and running ##rtn# to reset everything. Now it works so far...
