@LGMONO
Thanks for sharing this. Is this debloated version - while based on NOOK edition there are not useless apps right?
Also is it pre-rooted and pre-xposed ?

Yes more bloatware from the nook edition however the nook edition uses UX in Touchwiz to make the home screen much much nicer looking I know you have been PM'ing me im working right now on a debloater script for ya guys, trust me i hate bloatware as much as you, as for xposed no, no pre installed xposed, why because after installing xposed it takes almost 10 to 15 mins to restart into the system and once people install this i like how they can get right back into there OS, and rooted if you have TWRP installed which you need to flash this you have SuperSU and root, Unless you deny TWRP to install SuperSu.
I will continue working on the debloater for you sorry its taking sometime but there's a TON of samsung useless apps plus you have to factor in some people may want this or that and if i make a script to flash its going to remove all the bloat not a pick and choose script.

Can i use this on 237p ?

Umm you know i dont think there are any like device changing settings, if you look in your system files the apps framework and priv-app are very similar then i dont see why not however you have to know i forgot this in my first post if you brick it then you know its not my fault, cause we both know they dont belong in that phone, lol but i am kinda a dare devil hell i flashed a kernel from a completely different phone and i was still ok restoring it. I just checked out your specs im not expert i would pm a dev from another thread just to make sure you., but if you upload you files i will deodex your rom for you its takes me like 10 mins takes me longer to upload then to deodex lol

My current rom is already somewhat debloated so would I have to temporally reinstall those apps for updating?

This update.zip contains the apks and jars from system/app system/framework and system/priv-app yes it would reinstall the bloatware i had a request to make a debloater script which i can do however if i got more requests for it id make a script to remove the bloatware a lot of people dont realize bloatware is mainly the cause of drop in performance.
This is kinda embarrassing but i had a working debloater script saved on my desktop. i had to reinstall windows 10 of course lol and gone! it took sometime to make because Samsung has more crap then any other

Lol. It's not that big of a deal. I can manage with having to re-remove stuff

Im not having any luck getting this to boot on my t530nu Model. I have the lollipop bootloader contained in the official 5.0.2 update from samsung but it isnt the newest version contained in your stock rom. Would that be catching me up? i got multirom all set up and dont relish the thought of having to restore the newest stock image and redo everything. thanks much

this is pure stock deodexed nothing removed, and has adb as root. also doesnt have any mods
thank you for posting this here! :good:
Many thanks!
Thanks for this! Works great, feels more fluid... Except doesn't seem to fix the touchscreen deadzones that occur intermittently (but of course that's for Samsung to take care of)
How this update should be installed? Adb?
Edit. Sorry, never mind, this is for N5100 but I have N5100. Waiting for new version for my device.
I am interested in loading this rom on my wife's tablet. I have been flashing rom's on my Motorola Phones for years now and am very comfortable doing so, but a real Novice when it comes to Samsung.
I am on 4.1.2, insecure loader. I have tried both CWM and TWRP recoveries and can use either. I have also used Odin as well.
Question, do I need to wipe data first, and how do I load this rom onto a Samsung Device.
Sorry for the trouble, but I am a fast learner and will be on board soon (I hope)

Since this is an OS upgrade (4.1.2 to 4.2.2) a data wipe is highly suggested. Frankly, I would suggest wiping system, data, cache and dalvik just for good measure. If she wants to keep a lot of the apps' progress/settings she has, I would install Titanium Backup and back up all user apps first before doing anything. She may have everything synced with her Google account as I believe you can sync apps and their data through Google now, but I haven't tested it yet.
To install the ROM, you'd just need to put it somewhere locally on your tablet, I have a '000Flash' folder on the root of my internal SD storage for any ROMs/kernels/modems (on my phone), etc. Place it in there, then get yourself into recovery. Once in recovery, wipe everything I mentioned above, then go back to the install/flash option of whatever recovery you're using. Flash the .zip file you just downloaded and put locally on your tab. Wait a few minutes and boot her up!
Just make sure you have the right software for the right version tablet you have, N5110 vs N5100.

No problem, shouldn't be too different than what you're already used to, but I can understand the need for clarification when it comes to different devices as they're all a little bit different.

Also you will need to have CWM or TWRP installed as a custom recovery for it to work. There are plenty of options for installing and the new versions that are non touch should fix any issues uyou had previously. Happy flashing!

I'm all rooted and running the ROM...
This ROM definitely needs a little TLC...
How about putting a list of requests together so maybe we have an Idea of what we can expect?
Here is a thread for customizing this ROM!!!
Here is a link to the Google Edition 4.3 Camera
This works I have it installed. and it is pretty sweet. (even on a 5mp Camera)
I installed xposed framework today and it works well on this ROM. Has anyone else tried this?
You can go here for other mods to add to it...
After you have the Xposed frame work installed you can install the app_settings see attachments, to modify the per app DPI settings.
example, you open up app settings go to gmail, set the dpi to 160 & screen (dp): 1000x1600
I did this for System settings as well and they look nice.
Play around with it and we can build on it...
You can find other mods that you can see if they work and build a list in a new thread. REMEMBER TO BACK UP FIRST!
Ge the disabler in attachments to flash in case you get into a boot loop. These work well since this is a stock ROM.
NottachXposed works very nicely for this ROM... You just have to play with it a little bit, but you can tweak it out nicely...
Don't forget to grab the Multi-Window Manager over in the Themes and app section. It works Great Without any flaws so far...!
If you need a 3-way reboot menu, here is an excellent app here for that...

[ROM] Knox Free KK (I9200XXUDNE4)

It took nearly 24 hours to upload due to my dreadful internet connection but here it is, the latest Android version for the galaxy Mega I9200 AKA Kit Kat I9200XXUDNE4, repacked with a full Knox free bootloader.:good:
DISCLAIMER
I'm not responsible for anything, as usual procede only if you know what you do, and make a backup beforehands in case things go out of control.
This said since this ROM is Knox free you will be able to get back to 4.2.2 or to whatever ROM you want in case you don't like Kit Kat.
IMPORTANT
You can flash this ROM ONLY if you come from a non Knox Rom.
It means that if you were on a ROM that had Knox, like the latest 4.2.2 versions, you can't flash this ROM and in that case you'll have to go for the regular 4.4.2 Knox version available at sammobile.
BEFORE TO FLASH
Get a custom recovery, cuz this ROM comes without any recovery.
Why?
Because at the time I was testing it I kept my custom recovery to see if I could reuse it with Kit Kat, and since it worked, and since I don't want to loose again 24 hours to upload an other ROM with a recovery, you'll have to go like this.
There are plenty of custom recoveries on the forum, as for me I use that one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415294
but you can use any one you like, it doesn't matter as long as it has been installed BEFORE to flash Kit Kat.
Edit
If for some reasons you want to stick to stock recovery head to post #5, I've attached it there with some instructions.
THE FLASH
Download the ROM, unrar it and you'll get a tar.md5 file.
Open ODIN 3.04, put the file in the PDA section.
On your phone, enter download mode (press volume down and start at the same time), then connect it to your computer.
Once it has been recognized by Odin (it gets blue on the left upper case) start the flash.
It will take approx 5 mns before it reboots, that's it.
If everything goes ok it will reboot twice and then it will enter the set up wizard.
It could be that some app forces close and that it reboots one more time, in that case you'll have to enter recovery and format /data (and since you have a custom recovery you can do so without erasing your sd card contents).
ROOT
Easy, download the latest SuperSU_1.94.zip from the master chainfire, flash it from recovery, reboot, voila.
REMOVING THE LAST KNOX TRACES:
This has to be done manually (I could have done it and repacked/uploaded a new pre rooted ROM with everything done but sorry, my connection is too slow )
There are some Knox apps in the /system/app folder and in the system/priv-app folder:
-the ones that have Knox in their name are easy to guess;
-one is called KLMSAgent and should be deleted as well, and so too ContainerAgent.apk, ContainerAgent.odex, ContainerEventsRelayManager.apk and ContainerEventsRelayManager.odex.
In the /system/lib folder delete libknoxdrawglfunction.so.
Delete completely the system/preloadedkiosk folder and the system/preloadedsso folder.
In data/data delete the com.sec.knox.seandroid folder and the com.sec.knox.store, and the other com.sec.knox whatever folders there are.
Enjoy!!!:silly:
Stay tuned, in the coming days I will put some mods here...
I already made a deodexed version but I don't think I will upload it since it takes too long (24 hours again), so if anyone with a better connection feels like doing it he or she is welcome!

Yep, I have to be serious:cyclops: so here it is, I packed a stock recovery in case someone needs it for some reason (s).
It took (only) 15 mns to upload (not bad for a 10 mb file )...
Download the file, open Odin 3.04, put the file in PDA, flash, now you have KK's stock recovery, boooooo:laugh:
http://d-h.st/PGb
@bnb25
nope, you can't flash the ROM from recovery.
If some people are interested I can upload the deodexed version in the coming days when I have time, unless someone else does it before
I flashed somr stock rooted Rom awhile ago on the gf's phone. I been waiting on this update b4 doing anything. The phone acts up. Performance issues. She keeps ot close to full. Moving to sdcard doesn't work anymore. (That broke b4 filling the phone up. But didn't know that when we bought a 16gb sdcard.) So....thus has knox removed. You mentioned stock recovery as an option. You mean the stock kitkat recovery for the phone? Meaning that will introduce knox if you choose it? And if you do choose stock recovery with knox it can be rooted right? Just saying cause usually when first comes out it takes a lil time for someone to root it.

i try this rom for 10 minutes and it keep restarting..
so i flash again with ODIN 3.04, and it keep restarting again..
i have wipe data and cache+dalvik, i use twrp recovery.
can you troubleshoot this problem?
thank you :good:
sorry for my bad english...
Works fine for me. I had latest official 4.2.2 rom; I then flash a custom recovery and a rooted rom before I flash this rom via odin. After flashing this rom, I wiped it factory reset. All is well for me. 24hrs now. Thumbs up me general.....

@ninja_unmatched:
the recovery I attached is the stock KK recovery, and AFAIK it doesn't have Knox in it. About rooting a Knox cursed ROM, some people say it's easy but I don't have any personal experience on that matter.
But anyway, why don't you want to use a custom recovery?
I kept the CWM I had on 4.2.2, and after I upgraded to 4.4.2 it took me 2 minutes to root with Chainfire's SuperSu_1.94.zip...
So now I'm on Knox free KK, with custom recovery and root.
@congquer:
do a full factory reset and see if it helps.
@fpage:
nice to read that it works fine for you!:good:
@all:
if you are rooted and want to enable quad multi windows view (up to 4 apps opened at once on the same screen, fully resizable), check my thread in the themes and apps section..:
One of the best KK's new features cool:...
works like a charm, i've installed via odin, but lost root for some reason
Well the girl is like any other nooby internet user. She knows enough to get it infected over and over....lol. Knox actually helps a lil with that. I used to use my phone (Note 3) to check questionable sites out for clients. Knox would do its pop ups alerting me to there being something going on that I do not want. It has actually helped....weird thing sort of. Now of course it doesn't do that anymore but for her......it might lower my headaches if you know what I mean?
But...no I'm about to try it out now anyways after I backup her phone.

This step right here causes the same boot loop mentioned. An app forces closes just like you said. soon as you format /data after a reboot it goes into a boot loop. I am also using TWRP 2.7
You have to clear cache not data. Even with that alot of apps just force close.

Well it didn't work for me. And the supersu only caused freezing then reboot. I just went and flashed stock. Maybe I'll root it later. The process also messed with the sdcard. Made it unreadable. So I used an app (Called Photorec) to recover some of the files from the 16gb sdcard she has.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
whenever I want to delete knox from system/app, it always failed to delete.
I wonder why?
@ninja_unmatched:
your girl seems to be like mine, willy to use the phone but messing it all the time, and then calling her man to fix it:cyclops:.
But you are worse tham me cuz you use her phone as a guinea pig!
The problem with SuperSu is that at first you can't install it a a system app.
In order to fix this you'll need either twrp recovery or aroma file manager ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108 ) and do as follows:
-download SuperSu zip,
-extract the app from the zip but keep the zip intact,
-flash the SuperSu zip,
-do not reboot but go to your file system while still in recovery, either from the twrp menu or by flashing the aroma file manager file,
-delete SuperSu from the system/app folder,
-reboot,
-install the SuperSu apk manually as you would with any apk.
Now you are rooted, and your SuperSu being on your data/app folder it doesn't force close anymore.
Later you can convert SuperSu into a system app from the apk's settings.
But this force close is a problem on KK, cuz everytime an app FC (not only SuperSu) the phone reboots, pretty annoying and definitely a deal breaker for me.
The messing with the files is another problem, it's because somehow KK uses another format than JB. But this one is easy to overcome, just connect your phone to your computer and copy the files to it, or you can copy them from recovery/aroma file manager (that's what I did, at first I thought it was gone but nope, it's just a format stoy) to anywhere on your phone.
@fpage:
I'm happy for you if everything works:good:
@serpentlord:
salaam manis dari Jowo!
Are you rooted? Sorry if the question sounds obvious, but if you are then deleting the Knox apks shouldn't be a problem.
Otherwise if it doesn't work, use aroma file manager (see above, and don't forget to push thanks for @amarullz our dev from Bandung!) and delete the Knox stuff from within recovery.
That said I went back to 4.2.2, this KK is plagued with bugs and I don't like the new multi windows implementation, so until they make a more stable version and until I find out whether I can implement some of JB's multi windows functions in it or not I'll stick to 4.2.2...
I'll make soon a thread about specific KK's bugs, hopefully sammy will listen but don't hold your breath
A guinea pig....lol. yeah. Only thing I ever did was flash a stock 4.2.2 rooted Rom. For wifi tethering purposes. It was fine for awhile. She starts complaining about it....I find she filled the thing up. Apps, apps, apps, mad games. I move some of the apps to the 8gb card. That helped. Later she fills it up again. I get a 16gb card and then find out it won't move anything to the card. Broke that somewhere after the 8gb card move. She goes on facebook and clicks on those questionable site posts and jave you sign up while giving them permission to post on your profile and all sorts if sites I find are questionable. That and apps from blackmart and from that site that offers hacked android games/apps.
So far now she seems fine on the stock official 4.4.2. It has a few widgets and apps in Russian. I've seen a few bugs that clear up on their own.
1. The lock screen took a bit to update. (What I mean is this. I know when playing music will say Milk it will show also on the lock screen. It wasn't doing that. Had to reboot to get that going.)
2. There is an app called Wish. It allows you to send something you think another person would be interested in that also has wish. That feature doesn't work to well. You can choose facebook or google+. FB no work at all. I think that is some other reason for that one. Google+ works but only if you choose the regular browser. Through chrome the page doesn't pop up woth the option to use the app to open the link.
And generally I've just run into these lil quarks that eventually just start working. Or partially work enough to get by.

Yes, my device is rooted. I've tried root browser, root explorer and soon. but it ends with the same result. I wonder why.
And my device also keep restarting every 10 minutes. Is it a bug?
@ninja_unmatched:
I can't tell about this wish.apk and widgets, at the time I was still on 4.4.2 I had stripped the Rom down to only about 20 system apps.
I allways do this on my ROMs cuz I don't like stock apps, I rather uninstall all that stuff and replace it by third part apps that are easier to manage and not so much on the spying/bloatware side...
@serpentlord:
what happens is probably that you have an app that forces closes, and this is what makes the phone reboot. I had the same problem and in my case it was youtube, in your case it could be any other app.
Just start your phone and keep an eye on it until it says "sorry app whatever has closed". Then if it reboots you know from wish app it comes and you can uninstall it and/or replace it with another app or another version from the same app.

Added into /data - updated and removable - LG Keyboard, Estrong File Explorer, Sprint VoiceMail, GoogleSearch, Xposed, G3 Tweakbox
Probably other minor things I can't remember
V1
SuperSu
busybox
zipaligned
build.prop edits - All split window, dalvic heap correction
Ext Sd card fix - you don't need an app for this now
Mixer paths - Increases volume - [B]THIS CAN DAMAGE YOUR SPEAKERS!![/B] You've been warned!!
LG Stock Boot animation
Google keyboard only - Removed LG Keyboard and Swype
Removed too many things to list
Maybe some other things i forgot
To install:
Make a backup in TWRP first! And always make sure you've backed up your EFS.
In TWRP, select "Wipe", "Advanced", and select /system, /data, /dalvic, and /cache. DO NOT select "Internal, or ext SD!
Flash zip
Profit!!!!
On first boot:
You may not have reception. Use Wifi or add accounts later
Just acknowledge LG agreement - it won't install anything
Go to Settings and update profile/PRL.
Subsequent boots/reboots:
You may get a Gapps warning. This is OK. Google Search is no longer a /system/app. It'll be in /data, if you download it.
Bugs:
None that I know of. You tell me
Possibly on V2 Play Store not updating properly - time will tell
Donators (Never asked for, but always appreciated - Thank you)

To add other apps - This I'm gonna leave for you to work on. Heres how:
If you want any other app from the stock ROM, you'll need to pull it from a Stock ROM and place it in either /system/app or /system/priv-app BEFORE you flash this zip. Use 7zip or Linux and open the zip and place the apk in the appropriate folder.
In TWRP, wipe /cache and /dalvic ONLY

You will need to start from scratch. So flash Barren, wipe cache and dalvic. Flash Concierge and reboot.
It SHOULD work properly and did when I tested it. You add this on your own.

That's weird. I've installed these roms, testing them, multiple times, and not once did I get Sprint bloat. Lg downloaded one time but the update failed.
Did you both wipe all 4?
I really don't know why it's doing that. But let's see if others get the same thing. I'll still look at it.

Are you all sure it's not just the playstore downloading them after a reinstall. I always open the store first thing and say stop and then check don't auto update. Just a thought. I've installed and have no bloat.

Starchild2k's Custom Rom For The Samsung Galaxy J700P

Starchild2k's Samsung Galaxy J700P Custom Rom
Information about ROM:
This a Custom ROM I built myself using SuperR's kitchen! There has been a lot I have managed to do to this ROM making it the best one for the J700P yet by far! I am very much so in the picture still for a CM13 release still working on it as we speak. In the meantime I have been working on a ROM that was made purely from the latest Stock ROM that was released for this phone. I left the system.prop alone to prove that it was in fact stock and if there was any future updates for this phone you would know and be able to get them.
Tweaks Done:
Rooted Phone
Deodexed Phone
Removed Bloatware Apps that was preloaded to the phone
Speeded up the Boot Time
Removed Boot Animation
Freed Up System Memory
Unlocked WiFi Tethering for unlimited use! (HOT SPOT)
Various System Tweaks used from Xposed Installer for system stability
Completely Removed KNOX!
Special Preloaded Apps Included:
SuperSU (Already ROOTED)
Xposed Installer With Preloaded Apps (Youtube, System, TWEAKS)
Subsonic Music Streamer with exclusive access to my music server for free!
Terminal Emulator
Root Explorer Pro
Requirements For Installation:
J700P Of Course!
Custom Recovery Firmware Installed! (TWRP,CWM,etc)
Installation Instructions:
1. Copy ZIP file to a external SD Card first (CAN NOT INSTALL FROM INTERNAL SD!)
2. Reboot phone into Custom Recovery
3. Make a complete backup to the External SD Card (I recommend using TWRP for this!)
4. Install The Zip File that is on your External SD Card (This Can take a little bit to install so don't worry it works!)
5. Reboot into System from Recovery
6. Done!
Concerns About Mobile Data:
If you are experiencing issues with your data connection not working after installing this ROM try using the activate phone in the settings if this doesn't work then do a factory reset and re-root the phone using the latest SuperSU.zip file. This will solve any issues certainly!
Future Plans:
1. Set Permisssive Mode to the ROM
2. Add some more kernel tweaks
3. Add Apps2SD Support
4. Add custom Pandora APK
5. Add Facebook/ Facebook Messsenger APKS
6. Remove PDA Update from Final Release

Nice with bro
I'm really enjoying using this rom. Everything is smooth for the most part, but there are times when the UI will reset, or it will freeze up at times when I'm on Youtube or Instagram.
I installed SeLinux Mode Changer, and used it to make the device permissive. It doesn't seem to be sticking on reboot though, which sucks cause I want Viper4Android active on my device.
But these are all nitpicks. I really do enjoy using this rom, keep doing your thing. Anxiously anticipating the finished out of beta version, man. Thanks for all you've contributed towards the J700P development, man.
I wouldnt worry about the SystemUI errors on Youtube I believe these are issues with xposed Installer with all the modules I preloaded and I will look into these issues and I will definitely have permissive mode released in my final release then on to finish CM13 and then CM14!

thank you for the work on the 700P version. will be installing soon!
Bro your google account is on here. And so is your contacts and call logs. Other than that great rom.
Well this is a nice alternative for now. Less mess to get involved. Thank you sir.

Add Titanium if you can. I only say that so people can keep backups without having to Fandangle with adding it. Unless you have advice on another type?

I plan on releasing the final version soon and i will add the rebuild of twrp which you can do a complete backup of the phone through recovery but sure i can add titanium if you like no problem
TBH any way you make this is fine. I'm just glad to see the stock surpassing its potential. Reminds me of @Curtis1973 with his custom stock ROM mod for the LG Volt Last year. So many thanks to you. You and @minz1 pretty much kept this model in the loop of modifications.
1. Set Permisssive Mode to the ROM - don't, permissive has a bunch of secuirty compromises
2. Add some more kernel tweaks - okay
3. App Apps2SD Support - ok
4. Add custom Pandora APK - that can be added easily. don't debloat then rebloat your ROM
5. Add Facebook/ Facebook Messsenger APKS - ^
6. Remove PDA Update from Final Release - ok
Haha thats so funny u metioned the lg volt i worked on that phone as well i still have a volt i think it stopped on cm12.1 but i did want to rerelease and revise it to cm13 as well but for now i want to put all efforts towards the J7 on getting a stable cm13 and cm14 build
Is this the best stable Rom for the J700P to date? I've been looking for a good one for a lil bit now. So far from what I have read that it has everything that I'm looking for. Will flash this jewel soon if it's a go

Its better to set permissive mode on a kernel for scripts/mods to run better but if security is a issue i will put some antivirus like malwarebytes on it as far as pandora it wouldnt be bloatware at all it would be a custom version that can download songs by hitting a tumbs up and it also would have no ads and unlimited skips
Heck ya. I use the Pandora download version and its great. The main feature I saw was the bypass WiFi hotspot lol. I have a HTC desire I use for GPS only so I would like to wifi this phones data to it. Get live traffic updates and so on.

They made it to 13 on the Volt... I ended up making 6 'remix roms' that fixed the camera issue (KitKat)
They used LgG2 mini sources to get the phone up and running. Anyway.... Y'all got this.

You might want to look at this: download any format, no ads, background playback, and pop out window mode. Just a minimal amount to read to get it working.
Working on getting selinux to permissive permanently now!
See that's the things I like, modded stuff. Anyone have any other useful links or websites?

Does look to be off to an excellent start doesnt it? i gave it a 5 to encourage everyone involved to carry on with it. :good: i am in my own struggle at the moment on a new Alcatel device. The A621BL. Alcatel has it in beast mode with crippled fast boot among other over board protection issues. But root is not to far away.

[ZIP][FLASHABLE][8.0&7.0]Project Deep Clean - Keep only what you actually use

Long story short, this is a zip to debloat your S8 and probably other Samsung devices. Please modify it to suit your firmware. *As long as your rom is from Samsung, regardless of nougat or oreo, most of the package names should be the same thus this zip should still remove quite a lot of them by default, you will need some minor edits to match your rom perfectly though.
The attached zip is what I'm currently using, there's something that I had commented out because I use that feature and never tried disabling it. Please feel free to experiment with it and modify the script as per your need. However, do pay close attention to some of the lines as activating them will cause your phone fail to boot.
If you had any error or knowledge about what certain file does, please provide feedback so that we can improve this script. The ultimate goal is to know what we can stripe off from TouchWiz ROM until close AOSP state without breaking features that we use, that includes .apk files, files of any format and even related lines in build.prop.
Also, for anyone who wishes to use this script in any way, please feel free to do so. No need to inform or give credit.
Since I do not backup my file before testing, I'm using Github to do this for me. The most updated version will be on Github.
For more information please visit Github.

After this zip your phone will be left with:
Stock Samsung Audio (Adapt sound, SoudAlive, etc)
Stock Samsung AOD
Stock Samsung Calculator
Stock Samsung Calendar
Stock Samsung Camera & all plugin
Stock Samsung Clock
Stock Samsung Contacts
Stock Samsung Device maintenance w/ McAfee removed
Stock Samsung Gallery & related editor
Stock Samsung Game Launcher & services
Stock Samsung Live wallpaper picker
Stock Samsung Messages
Stock Samsung Music
Stock Samsung Phone
Stock Samsung Smart capture (Screenshot w/ crop, drawing features)
Stock Samsung Launcher
Stock Samsung Video Player
Samsung Desktop Smart Switch support .apk file
Google play etc among some preloads
And some files that IDK what they do/what will happen after removal
Over hundred of apk files will be removed.
Theme center and Samsung account will also be removed, if you want to use theme, please comment them out before flashing.
They can be removed after you applied your theme and will stick after reboot. This is what I did too.
How do i add themestore and remove it after applying theme? Also, flash in twrp?
Got it working nvm. Awesome work!

I do expect people here to experiment with it, as I said in Github this is not (completely) noob-friendly.
You can cross check the script with your ROM, majority of the Samsung preloaded app will be the same, the difference usually is carrier apps. Maybe I shouldn't mention that I'm using AQL5.
XDA developer yeah, not XDA noobs.

It's an app that flashes zip files similar to TWRP. I have the snapdragon 955u variant so cant use twrp since the bootloader is locked. I do have root though.

I see, good to know. Im using an exynos version so cant really figure that out.
You can even delete folder/file one by one by using terminal/root explorer according to my updater-script, that shouldn't make much of a difference.
Will this work on oreo zra5? Actually tried flashing this but it didnt remove anything at all
I personally use the Package Disabler because I'm not that worried about space but the script helped me extremely on what to disable. Very helpful. (also on aql5 btw)

That's weird, it should be able to delete what nougat and oreo have in common and there's quite a few.

System space is quite useless, but it makes people like me feel better when useless stuff is actually gotten rid of.
Plus it is able to remove files, that's beyond the ability of package disabler.

EDIT: This zip basically removes stuff, so if your ROM contains the stuff that match the updater-script, it gets removed. Nothing magic happening here.

This script doesn't remove the function that allows you to draw on your screenshot cause I'm using that too, one of the actually handy feature added by Samsung...
The reboot part, I'm not sure. Somehow when I try to add back apks directly to system via explorer, my /data partition gets corrupted with
Code:
persist.security.tlc.otp structure needs cleaning
in TWRP, only format data fixes this, and this happened to me twice so I'd recommend you to flash them in instead using the rescue zip template I provided in Github.
The script is really good, I just read it line by line but since I see some issues reported for some people I prefer to try it out later
Edit: i was thinking on replace all Samsung needed apps with Google ones like phone and dialer, anyone knows a port from those?
