care to tell more about the app ? It's your app?
I wont install app from random people

Although it works , it's A Hungry Battery Eater ....
It would be better to use kernel rather than some app , the app would Make the Screen Active all the time hence lowering the Backup of your battery

And you are using a task killer/ram optimization app why? Android will kill apps when RAM is low, and why would you need so much free ram?
Please correct me if I misunderstood though. Some devs prefer strict though I believe.

This isn't like task killer app... its not like once of those app u click kill all apps.
I'm just trying apps to get the best battry life out of my phone.
This app actually tweak stuffs unlike other apps. It helps u to get the battery life out of your phone I believe, if you can use it right.
So I was just asking if anyone is using this app and getting better battery life
Im just going to delete this app for now since I don't know how to use it and its draining my battery. If anyone is getting better battery life when using custom roms with it let me know.

its his phone to do with as he pleases...but to answer your question, some apps continuously run in the background (even after you "close" them), and there is absolutely no need for them. They chew up RAM and battery. I use a moderate combination of AutoMemory Optimizer, AutoStarts, and a conventional task killer. I keep my RAM squeaky clean cause thats how i want it. I dont like my OS waiting for it to get to an unnecessary low point before it starts "killing"

Auto killer ... is a tool used to enhance android's internal memory manager ... Unlike its name its not a task killer .. again you can use it to tell android when and how much memory to reclaim ..... I use the preset 'aggressive ', but to fully understand the settings I would suggest you go the the dev's website, he has a lot of useful info on there .....

one will argue that it saves battery my limiting application runtime. another will argue that it takes up more battery because the app keeps starting and stopping. Thats why you should always use a program like "Autostarts", which prevents certain apps from EVER opening in situations that they dont need to be open. If youre getting into task management, that should be your first step before anything else, cause that DOES save your battery.

anybody know an application shows real time each app is used?

anybody know an application shows real time each app is used?im o fluxi kernel..and on Settings.Battery.Details doesn.t shows each time app is used...only screen time, voice time, android os,android system..i tryed badass monitor and other similar apps, but only shows each app cpu time used.

Well 1st of all remove ALL the apps you're using to get those info I mean ALL those apps, they drain your battery, since you can't close any of the following you mentioned in the title.. Use greenify and juice defender ONLY... and give it 2-3 days and run 5-6 battery cycles and it'll be far more better
Also remove the duplicate apps... Ex: kakao and viber works the same way :/ also auto sync, turn it off OR sync ONLY the important stuff
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
And also turn gps off when it not needed..
And same to data connection.
You will feel the difference in battery life...
Sent from my HTC X using xda app-developers app
You probably are having battery problems because of certain apps. If apps are accounting for 90 percent of battery drain then i would uninstall the ones you don't need, and use Greenify to hibernate apps you don't use.
Also turn off data, GPS, Wifi, etc and whatever you don't need so it won't drain the battery. Juice defender can help with that. But I like the quick settings toggles.

Thanks guys .
I did turn off auto syns , gps and unneeded stuff since I got my phone . These apps and settings has been using for 4 or 5 months without any problems . My battery used to last for more than a day .
I didnt change any settings or download any new apps before the problem happened .
And as you can see , the suckers are system , kernel , and sometime media sucked more than 40% ???
And my phone wad keept awake all the time :-s ??

For SMS backup, use SMS Backup Plus. You can find it on the Play Store for free. It backs it up on your Gmail and restores it to your phone.
For App backup, use "mybackup root". You can backup your apps and app data.
You can also use titanium backup or Rom toolbox, but I recommend MyBackupRoot because it's easier for normal people to use.
Guess I have to do the hard reset to.see what's gonna happened though ..
If it is no luck , can you recoment any room that works good with bluetooth headset ?

Try Energy Rom or my Super Sense 1.4.
I think Chevy and I were able to fix everything except Wi-Fi calling. So I think you should be good!
On Energy, stuff is working fine but it's old.
The best way is to try out all ROMS and find one you like.
On the other note, I don't remember saying something about a specific kernel with a custom ROM, but it doesn't mater anyway now, Super Sense 1.4 is using the latest Stock HTC kernel from the newest OTA.
Hello , I just flashed the super sense . It's really good work . But I feel.it a little laggy though . May be it because it's setting up stuff .
I will.wait and see if the problem.is till.there .
Anyway , I use to remap my search button become my power button ( key 217 ) . But I cant do it now , can you help me about this too , Afnan ?

There's a thread in the apps section I think that will remap your button!
There's a file in usr/keyboard folder that you can edit and it remaps your buttons!
You can also look for an app called button mapper. It works!

Anyone use VuTalk?

I bought g2 the next day it came out, and did not know this vutalk feature existed until yesterday while playing around with both of my and my girlfriend's g2.
Now we doodle around with this thing whenever we get a chance and me like it ;p
But the sad thing is i dont have any other people on my contact list that i can vutalk with except my girlfriend...
Anyone use this at all?

To disable it (and you can do this without root) go into settings - general - apps - all and scroll all the way down to the bottom. You will find vutalk there. Press on it and disable it. And yes it will remain disabled even after reboot.

Viber needs only a few KB/s (or MBs for calls) . Other apps need more ( i don't use and don't know about what's up)
It doesn't need an account. (for hangouts you need to have your friends gmail / fb needs ...fb accounts )
And you can do some funny staff. Draw/emoticons/sound clip

Setcpu and get amazing idle battery life

Okay guys, so after using a lot of tweaks for the rom I'm at a point where my performance and battery life is pretty good. So here's the one one app which always saves battery life like a pro:
SetCPU - it's a life savor, try setting up some profiles in it for the different battery states and lock screen etc. By setting normal CPU on lock screen to 300 it got so much better battery life.
To find the app just search "SetCPU" in play store, it does require root acces.
Sent from my LG-D620 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Hmm, I am pretty sure that SetCPU needs a custom kernel with change-able clock speeds.

To overclock? Yes. To manage CPU profiles according to battery level, lock screen and so on. Only root is needed. Its only the frequency it changes

sorry for offtopic, before i factory reset i used rom toolbox pro for cpu profiles. i also found sd booster - it works for internal memory and external micro sd card.

i don't know. imho it does not because it's about caching files, it's something like creating ram from int/ext memory and someone said:
Yeah it will degrade the life of the sdcard, which is why I advise users to perform due diligence in the Disclaimer/Warning.
But from the research I did it seems that the degradation is negligible enough that something else in the device will break before the sdcard. Or even more likely the user will replace their device due to pace of technology before the degradation is really noticed.

creating 256mb swap partition is more than actually making 4mb cache so i think it is barely impossible to damage the storage even because we download many apps or games so the storage is filling with data too
it is only my opinion
