Krexus-CAF is what the name implies. The Krexus unique combination of mods, on top of a clean uptodate and latest CAF source.
Built mainly of top of AOSP-CAF (with permission) and using only what's necessary from all the other great non-nexus device supporting ROMs (CyanogenMod, Dirty Unicorns, AOSPB, Tesla etc), Krexus-CAF tries to provide the maximum compatibility possible with CM-based device trees while keeping a small ROM base.
Lead Developer: @KreAch3R
About Krexus:
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.

I'm just discovering this ROM.
So the default kernel doesn't support Double Tap to Wake ... ok. any advise for a good kernel? Will you include a kernel supporting this in a future?
Can we make some request ? If yes, quick unlock, double tap on lockscreen (you know I love this feature) and network traffic, double tap to put device in sleep on home button
Another thing : look likes we need to use the same firmware that the one for AOSPB rom ... strange for a CAF rom.
Edit: Strike some lines as it works

It has my usual kernel
Feature request that are not device specific are up to @KreAch3R
All my builds will require the same firmware, i don't believe in updating just for the sake of updating, i only fix what is broken.

by "other builds" you mean other roms i guess
well my trees don't follow cm around, and i use my stuff on everything i build. So every rom i build will need the same firmware. If an update or change is needed you will be told or i will include it in the rom zip.
But since i am not an OEM i don't believe in overwriting a devices firmware without a decent Warning! to the users, and since many just download and flash whatever they find on afh without any research and then come complain when something doesn't work, i will probably not include it.

Not fully compatible with layers (one provoke a FC an setting, another one make wifi quick tile to not be updated)
Double tap to wake up device works whereas setting says it should not.
But anyway, thanks Martin and Kreach3r

Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. And lastly, this is first and foremost a ROM about Nexus 5 (hammerhead). This is my personal device, this is where I test the ROM. angler, bullhead, flo, mako, SHAMU builds are provided AS-IS. With that in mind, I have to say that the google+ community has been flashing shamu builds for a looong time and hasn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd share it here, too.
That said, welcome aboard!

@KreAch3R I'm glad you left the double tap to wake feature in. To be honest, I like this feature when it is automatically included in the ROM rather than have to try and either find a custom kernel or use kernel auditor.
The double tap to wake is working very well with this build. Last build did not work as well

That was the reason I wanted to leave it in, too. Krexus tries to never deviate from stock, only fix/include necessary stuff. I'm glad it works well now, it seems that I was missing some commits on the device tree, but I found them after @BeansTown106 let me know about them.
This is one of the best stock rooted ROMs out and runs great. Thank you for bringing it to us here on XDA.

Q: Why is there an older securtity patch than Google released?
A: CAF is one month behind with the security patches, don't ask me why.
Q: Download link doesn't work?
A: Works flawless here. Try in incognito mode or a different browser.
Q: Custom Kernel/Xposed ?
A: I don't recommend. If you flash it, you're on your own.
Q: No Navigation Bar?
A: Hardware keys rebinding will be in next release.
Temporary workaround : Add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the end of build.prop . Save ,exit and Reboot.
I am really proud to publish this rom finally, It is smoothest experience so far.

Hardware key config has not been added yet, since this is supposed to be a Nexus rom, and Nexus don't have that. Same goes for navbar toggle, it will be added now that we are bringing up the oneplus devices. I am not the lead dev here like on GZR roms, so i can not just push stuff

Hi Martin, thanks for building such an awesome looking ROM, couple of suggestions between the big kings on the community right now.
Between Darkobas most recent build and Sultans most recent build being the 16th I think,
Camera comparisons, I believe using Sultans Camera (average shutter, great quality) would be a great way to go, compared to Darkobas' (quick shutter, not as good quality) so if you could get your hands on that would be awesome.
The screen is absolutely beautiful and well lit with a superb color match on the new sultan build as well, if you could get that on here that would be astounding.
I'm not trying to fanboy, just giving suggestions, sorry if I sound rude/intrusive.
Being AOSP, with CAF kernel, this should provide greater battery life then most roms out there. Will definitely keep an eye on this ROM.
Really like the idea behind the DozeOnePlus, that's pretty freaking awesome!
Testing this out and love how smooth and basic it is will give a battery report soonish. Is there anyway to add a camera apk to it.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
@martinusbe kudos man!! what a rom!! i haven't used such a decent rom with so much features, debloated and yet such an awesome battery backup in a long time
just one request, if you could add an option to disable hardware keys backlight.. thanks again! peace
edit: just read the recent posts and it is yet to be added.. got it

What is NamelessROM?
Simple - NamelessROM is opportunity.
An opportunity to have a voice to the development team of the after-market firmware that you run on your device.
The main goal of NamelessROM is to provide quality development for android devices, phones and tablets alike.
NamelessROM developers are available nearly 24/7 and respond to bug reports and feature requests almost instantly.
This availability will allow you, the end-user, to have direct input into exactly what features and functions are included on the firmware that YOU run.
NamelessROM maintains features and functions of several well-known open-source, AOSP-based ROMs, as well as many features of our own.
Visit our website for more detailed information.
NamelessROM = endless possibilities. Unless you have an iPhone, then you're out of luck.

Sounds good. I'll flash now. Thanks for making this rom.
Took a couple screens of issues.
Checking for an update seems to fail
Lockscreen weather isn't working (maybe I'm doing something wrong)
And I was wondering what captive portal detection was. Never seen it before. I'll continue to try and find issues
All and all, seems very stable on my end. These issues I have are not major issues. Battery seems good so far too. I'm using banks dynamic gapps also

The ROM is unofficial so I think ota won't work.

As @darjwx correctly said, the ROM is unofficial, so OTA wouldn't work. As for the lockscreen weather, have you enabled "Show weather" from the lockscreen option in settings?

I have. And will the ota eventually make its way to this ROM? Everything else seems to work... Though I haven't tested the speaker phone mic bug that has been plaguing cm based ROMs on my phone

I haven't yet decided whether I'll take up the role of being the maintainer for bacon, which is the prerequisite for acquiring the Official status. So for the time being, builds will continue to be Unofficial, meaning there won't be OTA updates.
Moreover, going through their Gerrit code review, I saw this as one of the subject: "retire nameless ota"
https://review.nameless-rom.org/#/c/924/
So, I'm not really sure whether this means that they're bringing down OTA.
Is this ROM based on CM?

The pics I uploaded confirm a bug. Weather there is a problem somewhere that I have checked and he didn't, but regardless, I could not get it to work. Tried several providers and made sure I gave permission too. Tbh, I don't care, I was just trying to help find bugs is all

About the ROMs :
GZOSP is a 9.x/10 AOSP/CAF ROM base used for other projects, e.g. Validus
Not much features will be added, only basics and aosp/caf updates/patches will be merged.
It's an open source and buildable project for everyone. (i will build and share when i need a new build is needed or if people asking for it.)
Validus is GZOSP based with a native theme engine with full OMS support (non rooted SUBS) and has features getting added progressively.
I am building it with @akhilnarang 's kernel from source. It means Validus Beryllium comes out of the box with Derp kernel updated every weeks.

awesome rom, no tons of useless features
screensaver settings force closes when select to clock (tapping on gear icon)
though its not complete yet some place holders here and there and features not well organized.
I just wish someone could bring GZOSP (pure) as well for our device. It's my all time favorite ROM. I like both Validus and Tipsy, but GZOSP is my sweetheart.
Sorry for OT though.

Great rom fast as hell . It has one issue though which is present on other aosp roms . Double tap to wake doesn't work for me . On nitrogen os thread it was concluded that this is affecting users with fts panel so perhaps you might want to look into that aswell some time while cleaning the rom . The nitrogen dev fixed it i think for next release . Good job and thanks for your work!
