Yes, allways a full wipe and so i had never ever a problem with flash a new rom. Don´t forget the factory reset. Btw maybe you had a Problem with your Backup. That happens to me sometimes.

Moderator information,
Thread has been cleaned. Please do not post posts such as, "slowest ROM ever" This is not helpful to the developer of the ROM. Always include as much information as possible, why is the rom running slow etc. Also did you do a clean wipe and install, or install over another rom. Also include logcats were possible as well.
