Gorilla glass only for front glass ?

My OnePlus X seems to have micro scratches on the back but not on the front glass...
So do you know if there is also a gorilla protection on the back glass ? Or only on the front glass ?
I don't see why they would want to put gorilla glass on the back. So no, gorilla glass is only on the front.
I was thinking that the back glass and the front glass were the same, because they have the same dimension and the same form factor (I don't know if my english is perfect... I'm french )
But if we can have confirmation... I'm worry because I don't want scratches on the front glass...
You should protect both.
Have a look to the pics here :

Even with protections... If the phone suffered a big fall...
But with a normal use, Gorilla glass 3 seem to be resistant to scratches no ? (not from keys or some stuff in pockets)
If you have some information about that and about the fact that only the front is protected by Gorilla glass 3, feel free to answer
From what I've found on the web Gorilla Glass 3 hardness in Mohs scale is 6.8, so it's just below quartz hardness which is 7. It means that sand grains which are mostly quartz will scratch your screen, so I'd suggest you to buy tempered glass screen protector.
Most good tempered glass screen protectors hardness is 8 (Nillkin glass is 9) and the higher the better. From my experience 9H glass is really hard to scratch. I tried scratching it with carpenters knife which is razor sharp and couldn't leave any marks on it. I even rubbed on it with sand paper and actually it's easier to break it or chip it off than leave some scratches.
As far as it goes for back cover I really doubt it's anything more than just a smoked hardened glass that is going to have much lower scratch resistance than the front, which means that most of hard items that you'll put in your pocket will probably scratch it and to prevent that you need to protect it with a case or some kind of skin (if there are going to be any).
For now if you don't want to put your phone in a case but want to protect both front and back from scratches then you may buy Nillkin set which comes with 9H glass for screen and plastic good quality transparent sticker for back cover (even includes a protective sticker for your camera lens if I got it right).
You have to remember though that glass protector doesn't protect whole front, since it doesn't cover curved parts of the front panel.
Perfect answer, thank you for the advices !

a simple rubber bumper hack

Just decided to share what I did to obtain a simple rubber bumper (because it is seems all of the case manufacturers can't).
It is a shame such beautiful phone back to sit behind a case cover.
So here it is, the case I used, the parts which must be cut(4 of them) and how it look. By my opinion it is usable, and does not look like a "ghetto" case.
I think put Any case on it will be feel thick and ugly so i just put tempered
glass on the back and front
hi. do you think having tempered glass on the back will take care of camera lens? Any tip to take care of lens camera? I can see on the reviews that it can easily be scratched
By my opinion it depends from what you want it protected. It will not help against a pocket with sand for sure. But if you use a case or a tempered glass protector, this will lift up entire back of the phone, which will protect the lens glass for sure.
For example my first back tempered glass protector cracked next to the cam lens, and I found this is because of a damage from unknown for me object (probably my car key and a pressure from my jeans pocket because the scar is similar like the key metal part). So here it is seems the glass protector saved the cam lens from damage, but I doubt it will help much in case of direct hit.

Plastic protector on camera lens?

If I reflect light on the camera lens it seems that there is a plastic protector on the camera lens however I haven't been able to peel it off. Not with a tiny screwdriver.
Is there a plastic protector on the lens or is it just a trick due the light?

Camera Lens Protector

Has anyone used a film or tempered glass protector for their camera lens? I found DevilCase makes 2 options and I was considering the tempered glass option and I didn't know how it might impact the picture quality of the camera.

Replacement Rear Glass with Adhesive only on edge/border?

I cracked my rear glass and purchased the replacement 'JerryRigEverything' recommended on his how-to replacement video on youtube. Not only did it arrive with a crack, but it has adhesive covering the entire back side and not just the edges. I bought another one on ebay which I just received today and same thing, adhesive covering the entire back (minus the lens and sensors of course), even though the seller assured me the adhesive was only on the edges.
So does anyone have a good source for replacement rear glass that has adhesive only around the edges like the original one?

You can try this one. I think it might have what your looking for. I would just get some double sided tape. I found it works better for me.
