Hello all. Here is Xperia Kyboard ported by me for your Redmi 2 ( may be other Xiaomi devices too ). You don't need any Pc , root or custom recovery. Install the Keyboard in Stock Recovery and you Rock.

Procedure:
For stock recovery :-
1. Rename the downloaded zip file to update.zp and place in root of internal storage.
2. Reboot to recovery and choose install update.zip to system.
3. Now reboot to system and done.
For custom recovery :-
1. For custom recovery reboot to custom recovery and choose install zip and select the zip file you have downloaded from the below link.
2. Now reboot to system and done.
Note:
1. This Xperia Keyboard ported and tested by me on Redmi 2 prime, may also work on other Xiaomi devices too.
2. For android 4.4 download Xperia Keyboard 6.7.A.0.92 (KK).zip
3. For android 4.4 running on miui download Xperia Keyboard 6.7.A.0.92 (miui KK).zip
4. For android 5.0 and higher download Xperia Keyboard 7.3.A.0.28 (LP & MM).zip

i don't have redmi 1s. but yes it should work on redmi 1s as well.

So i flashed it with twrp recovery and i don't know where to find it now!
did it flashed successfully
Go to /system/app and look for com.sonyericsson.textinput.apk. if u find it there, it means it's not compatible. If you not find it there , it means it didn't flash on your device. In that case manually copy the apk to /system/app and lib to system/ lib and give permission 0644 to both and reboot your phone.

Tried it on Redmi note 3 global 7.3.5.0(LHOMIDD) and its force closing randomly i.e., sometime it plays just 20-30sec and sometimes after a full song. Tried clearing the data and couple of restarting app and also Phone but same result.
I wish this issue can be fixed and I want to use this player as default music player.
Let me know if some log needs to be provided.

I am using it on latest global rom 7.3.5.0(LHOMIDD) and its working fine.. Mabe force stop because of miui permission manager and all .

Hello, guys I just found a way to activate the newly introduced google lens...... You need Custom ROM( Android 7+)
1>> open root Explorer ( use Es explorer or mix explorer)
go to /system >>data>> and open build. prop
change
2>>'ro.product.model=Redmi note 3' to 'ro.product.model=Pixel 2 XL'
3>>"ro.product.brand=Xiaomi ' to 'ro.product.brand=Google"
4>>"ro.product.manufacturer=Xiaomi" to "ro.product.manufacturer=Google"
5>> then add 'ro.opa.eligible_device=true' at the end
Then go and Download or updated Google app to latest beta
you will find the button in the right corner

ps: I'm using Redmi note 3 with viper os 7.1.2 hope it will work on other devices and roms too

Reverted to stock build.prop.
Google lens is still there.
Maybe latest Google App v7.13.21.21 already has glens feature?

One more line needs to be changed
ro.product.manufacturer=Xiaomi to
ro.product.manufacturer=Google

Yes it is possible to use google camera in redmi note 4.
But unfortunately require ROOT in redmi note 4

Wrong.
With unlocked bootloader user can boot in TWRP(not required flash) and:
Flash zip file to enable camera 2 or pull build.prop to computer, edit and push to Phone.

Well this what u write is still root access. If u have ability to modify/edit system files in android it means ROOT.
