Some minor features I've added apart from RR:
- I have disabled Forced Encryption so if you're running a stock kernel and you flash my rom, it won't force encryption. Additionally, you're given the option to encrypt your device and decrypt it as you please (RR may have already adopted this change)
- Injected with some speed/performance enhancements from my original "Adrenaline" series and improved battery life
- Removed unnecessary decreased sound delays due to notifications
- Enabled some disabled VoLTE settings and support
- Audio Enhancements
- Launcher Enhancements
- Lightened the rom up a bit for more wiggle room and smoothness
- All of my Neofied sound files from my previous rom series (Adrenaline, NeoMax, Injection, Infection, Tachyon, Tron, X, (??)?? ??? and others)
- My custom "Adrenaline Neo" Boot animation
Installation Instructions
- I recommend users of this rom to be on the latest firmware and Hboot for the 7.1.2 Nougat Platform.
- Additionally, you need to be on at least TWRP if you intend to flash this rom.
- If you are not on the latest recovery or firmwre and have a rom complaint, I will not address it.
Flashing Procedure is as follows:
1. Compare the md5 sum of your download.
-Windows: MD5 Calculator
-LINUX: Open Terminal and type: md5sum [path to the rom zip]
-Mac: Open a terminal and type: md5 [path to the rom zip]
2. Reboot to Recovery
3. Scroll down and select "Wipe"
4. Do a "Swipe Wipe" (I prefer a Full advanced Wipe of cache, dalvik, system, and data)
5. Install Rom Zip
6. Flash Gapps
7. Wipe cache/dalvik
8. Reboot and enjoy!
DO NOT Mirror the Roms provided here, Quote my entire OP, or use this rom as a base for your own Rom (Build it Yourself!).
Thanks.

Notes
- I do not use this device as my daily driver so there may be issues that I don't know about. If so, mention me and provide me with the info in the bug reports section below.
- I will not be modifying the RR source much. I have picked a few things (notated below) but this will be about it. Feel free to request features but I am going to be hesitant about forking a bunch of repos to make that happen as it is a lot of work for me. Use Neo's ROM if you want a more tuned and custom experience
- Please follow this README (specifically about not bothering the developers about issues related to my builds).
- I will build when I am able to, ETAs are not allowed.

Features (on top of standard RR)
- Substitute @Yoinx's Kernel Adiutor-Mod instead of standard KA.
- Stop per-app overlays from resetting when using the ThemeChooser after setting them with the Themes Tile: https://github.com/nathanchance/and...mmit/1cefd98f7ac5db31754a8f7ee1fd62f3ac897b71
- Do not block the home button if there is an incoming call in the background: https://github.com/nathanchance/and...mmit/d073e3efe7328558528cf50f40f4152af439e71a
- Kernel source: Blackbird from @REV3NT3CH (compiled with UBER 6.1, list of kernel features here)
- Built with RR device tree and Dirty Unicorn vendor blobs
Installation
Clean install: Used when coming from another ROM or when dirty flashing introduces issues
1. Download the ROM and GApps from above plus a custom kernel if you so desire.
2. Backup any important data to your internal storage or computer.
3. Boot into TWRP and wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM and GApps (along with the kernel if you choose).
5. Reboot and enjoy!
Dirty flash: Used when coming from a previous version of RR (keeps data intact)
1. Download the ROM from above plus a custom kernel if you so desire.
2. Backup any important data to your internal storage or computer.
3. Boot into TWRP, make a backup (highly recommended), and wipe cache and dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM (along with the kernel if you choose).
5. Reboot and enjoy!
Bug reports
If you are having issues with any of my builds, I require the following information before I am able to help you:
1. Logcat (Use Google or one of the apps from the Play Store if you have issues with this).
2. Version and GApps used.
3. A clean flash on the latest version of TWRP with no additional mods (Xposed or custom kernel).
4. Does the issue occur without a theme?
5. Screenshot/screenrecord.
Help me help you
Thanks
@Neo for the great idea for a community thread
@andrewwright @varund7726 and the rest of the RR team for the ROM
@NYCHitman1 for the vendor blobs
@REV3NT3CH for the amazing kernel
@BeansTown106 for being the inspiration to actually start building AOSP and helping me along the way
@Mazda for helping through all of the issues that came along the way

These builds are modified to my liking. I have killed junk packages and replaced them with better prebuilts. It comes with Snapbrowser, Adaway, KA-MOD (has it's own dashboard shortcut). These builds are ROOTLESS!! You need to flash root. I have added a SuperSU dashboard shortcut for those of you who use it. Substratum also comes baked into the ROM. I've changed some of the stock icons. I use 2 dashboard columns by default. Commits for blinking LED are in both ROM and my last kernel build. I use a different APN source so they aren't all junked up and a 100 useless ones.
NEO is back!

@apophis9283 @nathanchance and any other who build, let me know if you'd like a space here to provide you work and I will give you a post nearest to the OP.
To everyone else: Welcome to the community thread! Here you can experiment builds by other unofficial builders and talk about whatever. OT is accepted in this thread, and there are no stupid questions.
Remember, if you were looking for the Official Releases of Resurrection remix, head to the thread listed HERE
If you have a rom issue, make sure you list who's you are running or this will get confusing real quick
Enjoy.
Neo

nice.. will try out your build...

Sure I'll take a post and throw up a build before I go to bed!
EDIT: @Neo, just move the below post up :good:

So far @Neo RR build is running smooth keep up the good work

Awesome job NEO. Keep it up. Im just glad the guy who taught me everything is flexing his brain muscle again

@Neo
Is your build but on AOSP or CM base? I checked but didn't see, does it have pulse feature?
Thanks

offline charging is not working is it known?

what a great idea for a thread!
as mentioned before, hope it doesn't turn into a nightmare, with people coming here with issues on roms they didnt get in here...

If you guys were using my build, please switch to Neos. He said he would add in the mediascanner. They would be almost exactly the same build. That is all

Glad to see this thread @Neo . I ran your ROM on the M8 and it was amazing. Mixing that with RR, can't wait to see what's to come.

I haven't had the n6 long nor have I ever heard of off-line charging. Anyone care to explain what that is exactly? Charging while the phone is powered off?

never heard of that term, but your guess might be correct

Front Camera Bug : FIX - Change SELinux to Permissive
Go to Settings->Performance->Kernel Adiutor->Misc Controls and Change SELinux to Permissive
If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, and is not a known issue with CM,
please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you time, as well as us.
-Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.
There is also a donate version which you can purchase to show appreciation.
-After downloading the Catlog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
-Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.
-As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.
-Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
-Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the forum with a brief description of the error.

Excellent Work. Looks tempting! Good Work, @koolkunz !
Hi @koolkunz,
Awesome, another new funky rom to play with.... I've been hoping and waiting for this for ages.... Was hoping it would make it to the N7000 some time soon. As played with an early copy of it (GiggleKat) before they moved to BlissPop and it was one of the best roms (minus the bugs) that Ive used on a phone....
Even despite the bugs in the N7000 it was still my fav rom, so lets hope it's just as good on the S2... Looking forward to being able to download it... Thanks for your efforts, much appreciated
- ps, don't fancy building roms for the N7000 do you??
Cheers, Lister

I think that is a Gapps issue. Which Gapps are you using? Can you try flashing with any other Gapps? The ROM is working flawlessly for me.

PLEASE NOTE: Since CM14 is still in the nightlies phase, there may be some bugs that come up. If you come across any, report them to me and/or @phoval. A logcat that captures what was going on when the error occurred will be greatly appreciated! Also, let us know what you were doing when the bug occurred, so we can recreate it. As such, I have changed the project status to BETA. Of you want a stable release, I still have 5.7.4 up on the AFH servers; grab it at https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312978532265361428.
Also, I ask that you please keep in mind that I'll maintain this ROM as I can find the available time. I have a full-time job and a family and am also finishing college, so those are my top priorities. PLEASE do not ask for ETAs.

So...after digging through the source code some more this evening, I found the code is in there to disable the buttons and turn off their lights, even confirmed it on my Droid Turbo. For some reason, though, it isn't showing in the menu on this device. Will do some digging, but it appears the solution may be easier than I was thinking.
Thank you brooooooo
@rnwalker, fantastic job. ROM is running buttery smooth without any hiccups. Only minor thing I noticed is it appears to have old school SuperUser (Privacy Guard) vice SuperSU. However, that is no big deal as it works, just a teeny bit annoying. LOL. If your time permits should we anticipate a BlackTheme? Again, just a super job and thanks a million for sharing. Really appreciate your work on this ROM. :good:
New version released, with the hardware button enable/disable fixed. Please see the original post for the new download link. Enjoy!

Eventually I'll add the Blackout theme I'm currently running, probably when I get around to SuperSU. Stay tuned! But for now you can download the theme from the Play Store... It's called 2nd PitchBlack (Dark Red) by TeamBlackOut and apply it in the Themes app.

@rnwalker, I downloaded 2nd PitchBlack theme and it definitely met what I was looking for. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Also, downloaded update to ROM and working great.
Hi, Can I check if this will work on the Samsung SM-T325 / Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 LTE?

I am also running the blackedout theme. Really great!!! Sometimes contrast is a little difficult. Also running the same config on my lg g4. Downloading t320 update from you as we speak. It is working great only thing consuming power is still google services. After flushing cache etc. It is preventing some doze time.

Thanks for doing this, it does fill a need that I'm not able to test since I don't have an SM-T325. However, since it is different hardware than the SM-T320, please start a new thread to avoid confusion. Thanks!
Running this ROM since mwalker7 revived it (because I love RR), but it feels like battery drain is huge. Overnight it loses about 20% and even during the day it keeps losing about 1-2% an hour battery and I hardly use it! Anybody got the same?? But the ROM is awesome! Thanx!

Just got a couple of questions... Can you post a screenshot of your battery stats? And did you enable Doze? It's not enabled by default. Not trying to discount your experience, just trying to troubleshoot. Thanks!

I'm going to try but I'm going to try to get the status bar in the right area tonight when I get off work
For now you can use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sagar.screenshift2
Go to the second option in overscan and set it to 5. Then press set on boot and that will get you good until I release the next build later
Awesome work! Just leaving a comment so I get the blue "participated" bar next to the thread to make it easier for me to spot. Subbed, rated 5 stars, and looking forward to a vs995 release Let me know if you need to 5 files to build for verizon. I already uploaded them last week and the link is in the CM Remix thread.

Disable aggressive doze if you enabled it using any external apps, and enable AOD (always-on display) in Settings if its available, although it might drain battery a bit. Try grabbing a logcat using a PC when this happens, I will look into it.
I was using DotOS Oreo and it was normal. After flashing this ROM, with TWRP 3.3.1, I can no longer wipe, the battery discharges very very fast and I can not find the Netflix app in the Play Store.

-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps and BitGappps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in the beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with the latest security patches and new features.
-Adaway is not working
->Download it from here Adaway
-SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.
->Everything is good with the sources. You should try other things first and then contact your maintainer.

In fact I cannot tell you, in nougat and oreo for sure, but in pie don't know
This wasn't able to read my exFAT formatted sdcard correctly. Previous AEX (6.5) worked fine.
Edit: Solved by switching to vfat
overall this rom is great! really smooth, no apparent bugs (besides the SE Linux Permissive, as OP stated). i am glad to see dark mode as an option in the developer tools as well. the only thing i've noticed so far is battery drain, it's more than what i've been experiencing on other updated roms as of late. i do love AEX, thanks for bringing it back!
Just use "Naptime" app in playstore to reduce battery drain drastically ...
Sukram.

I just tested it, Signature Spoofing is enabled.
You can test it by yourself using Sigspoof Checker
I was wondering, because on my Moto G4 PLAY, when I install gapps 9.0 in this ROM, it loops the AEX animation and without it working normally.

Dear bro, Are you really sure exFAT microSD card doesn't work in this ROM?? Because I have my card formatted in that File System ... exFAT is much better than the old FAT32/vFAT

Other members said that is GPS problem, maybe if you disabled and install L-Speed or FDE.AI the battery level will be better
I haven't used FDE.AI so can't comment but using Battery saver mode on L Speed does increase the overall battery life so I stick with L Speed.
