Guys, Problem found, its the Memory Card!
Friends, whosoever is facing the error "Unfortunately, SmartManager Clean SDK has stopped" on tapping the "Storage" option in the "Smart Manager" App, just follow the given steps.
1. Backup all your Memory Card data in some other device (Ex. PC/Laptop)
2. Format the Memory Card from phone only (Important) & restore all the backedup data back in Memory card & thats it.
Clear the recent programs & App Caches & restart the device & now there should be no error. The problem should be resolved.
I have applied these steps on Samsung Galaxy J5 (Region: India, Model: SM-J500F) with Android Version 6.0.1 & the problem is resolved.
Cant say about other devices, you may please try on your device (only if you are facing the above error) & tell us your experience.
Thanks for reading. :good:

I'm encounter the same issue on a S6 edge, so, not possible to format SD card (there is no).
Another idea guys?
Thanks for your help

anyone tried this??..i'm encountering the same problem...any feedback guys who tried his method??

To avoid such error in future
Guys, to avoid such problems, before checking for software updates, please unmount the memory card, then remove it physically.
Update your phone & re-insert card, there should be no error like this.
I have tried this method in J5 2016.

no luck for me...after formatting the sd card on my phone, i tried to run it and the pop up message did not appear...however, when i transferred the files back to the sd card, that message popped up again in smart manager...i didn't installed any apps yet so the problem remains...haaaay

I was able to solved this issue ONLY with a wipe of my phone
After, it's ok :good:

After my Samsung galaxy j5 updated to Android 6.0 its getting trouble to login to my Google account.

Solved on S6 EDGE - No MemoryCard
Hi all, I had the same issue after upgrade my S6 edge. The solution that worked for me was by going to CONFIGURATION - APPLICATIONS - APP ADMIN. Then there "Show System Apps" and go to
SmartCardManager and SmartManager Clean SDK --> STORAGE --> REMOVE DATA AND CACHE.
As additional information Im not root, and I have deactivate all Office Apps.
Hope it could help someone :good:

Thank you for your contribution! I am an ooold android user, flashing different roms since 2010.
Please, continue your work. I now use LG L5 II as my main phone and I need more space! Like, seriously - I'm using the app called FolderMount, but I'm not satisfied. It transfers some apps to SD BUT most of the apps don't work at all :crying:
Can you write/design an app/script for moving our apps to SD card? Our memory is very, veeery low - about 1.7 GB, which, nowadays, is nothing.
My first phone was Galaxy Spica i5700. Back then it used to have only about 100-150 MB and it wasn't enough too, but back then it was easier (believe it or not!!!) to transfer apps cache and data to SD card. And now it is almost impossible.
If you start work on this, I am willing to donate, even though I'm unemployed at the moment. So please, if everyone here has a solution to this problem (apps to SD card) please answer or otherwise- let's do some work and fix it! I'm willing to participate as a tester

Hey man, I hate to inform you that the development from now from me will be very slow. I will be trying to make all your dreams come true as fast as I can but I am expecting a baby girl on Tuesday. She is prem so all my time will be dedicated to her and my girlfriend. Any free time I have I will be putting into development for this phone.
I hope to see some more people fill my place. Keep testing your phones limits and keep modding.

HI
Navigation bar, Notification drawer, Quick settings toggle wont theme
now im facing this issue 2nd time. is there any way/workaround to make it works without formatting the data partition
Had this issue few days back sorted out by clean flashing the rom.
again the issue appears. loosing the entire data partition is not a feasible method to make it work
Any help/inputs appreciated
Tried the following nothing works
clearing data of theme manager and provider
clearing data of systemUI
Clearing data of data/system/theme
Wipe cache and dalvik
Clean flash is the only known solution right now. You don't have to format data to clean flash.
You would just need to restore apps from Titanium (or other) and your theme will stick to all UI components.

Hi, I had the same problem yesterday.
I try the same that you say and doesn´t work.
Hours before that problem begins y made a settings backup of rom with app called "ROM Settings Backup" (by developer Daniel Huber on google play).
When y restore the backup and reboot my phone the problem was solved (when y change theme everything is themed).
Some things that you can try:
- Install the app, make a backup, restore the backup, reboot and change theme.
- I think that this app only makes a settings.apk or settingsProvider.apk backup. You can try to delete data of this apps with TitaniumBackup, for example (make a backup before and you can restore if doesn´t work).
- You can try to update to newer nightly build.
If some word or expression is wrong sorry, i am from Spain
Regards.

Fair enough. Try this:
When you're restoring from Titanium, restore everything except both settings (bluetooth, wallpaper). I posted this this workaround a while back and seemed to have work.

How to overcome(Do not use this method. easy method is available)
Here is the workaround (pretty big but better than the data wipe method) based on @SergioSanchezR input
Requirements
Custom Recovery (TWRP/CWM/Philz)
ROM Settings Backup (RSB)
Existing Rom.zip file (if you are on CM12 ROM you should have a CM12 Flashable zip )
How to do it(1 time activity)
Install RSB and take a backup of your current settings (optional)
Boot in to recovery take a Nandroid Backup
Clean flash your existing Rom / Factory reset can also be done (its upto you)
Boot into the fresh rom and install RSB(ive attached apk)
Take a backup in rom setting backup (let us call it RSBackup_New)
Reboot to recovery and restore the Nandroid Backup
Install RSB and restore RSBackup_New
Reboot and apply your favourite theme
Cons
Device ID will be changed once you restore the SettingsBackup it can be changed in TitaniumBackup
Setting preference will be reset
Pros
SettingsBackup can be restored without data wipe when the Theme issue reappears

[HowTo] Activate Adoptable Storage on Marshmallow (with Xposed Framework)

Hey Guys,
in this Tutorial I will show you how to activate the Adoptable Storage function on the M4 Aqua with the help of the Xposed Framework.
Attention: Me or not anyone else is responsible if you proceed with this. We do not take any responsibility for any bricked phones, dead sd cards, void warranties or anything else.
At first let's talk about what we need:
- Android 6.0.1 (I used the Customized FR version. (Build R5C))
- Xposed Framework Installer: Download
- Xposed SDK23 ZIP File (I used v86): Download
- (Minimal) ADB: Download
- Unlocked Bootloader, ROOT and TWRP
So let's go:
1. Unlock your Bootloader and install TWRP like described here. (It may works also like described here without unlock your Bootloader but I didn`t test this.)
2. Install Root like described here.
3. Install the Xposed Framework Installer.
4. Boot into your TWRP. (Press PowerButton + Vol- Button to start your Phone into TWRP)
5. Connect your Phone with USB on your PC. (Make sure you've got all Drivers installed. You will find them in the Flashtool install location.)
6. Move the Downloaded Xposed ZIP to the install location of your (Minimal) ADB
7. Open an Shell were you've installed your (Minimal) ADB
8. Type the following:
Code:
adb devices
If your Phone is now listed you can continue
Code:
adb shell
Now you should see a command line like this: ~#
Then Type:
Code:
mount -w /dev/block/platform/soc.0/7824900.sdhci/by-name/system /system
mount -w /dev/block/platform/soc.0/7824900.sdhci/by-name/userdata /data
mount -w /dev/block/platform/soc.0/7824900.sdhci/by-name/cache /cache
If you become an response that your Resource is busy don't wory. This means it's already mounted.
Now type this:
Code:
twrp sideload
adb sideload xposed-v*-sdk23-arm64.zip
For the * use the version number of your Downloaded Xposed ZIP.
If this is complete type:
Code:
adb reboot
Now it may takes up to 10-20 Minutes until your Phone is booted the first time with Xposed.
After Boot open your Xposed Installer App and go to "Framework". It should look like this, if it is successfully installed:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
9. Download the SystemUI Patcher for Lollipop+
10. Acitvate it in Xposed App (don't wonder if in the screenshot is another Module... you don't need this):
Open the Xposed Installer App --> Go to "Modules" --> Tick the Checkbox
11. Open the SystemUI Patcher App, scroll down, select "Enable adoptable storage" and restart your phone:
11. Insert your SD-Card and select "use it as internal storage". (I can't make a Screenshot of this by myself because I've done this before making this Tutorial):
12. Congratulations you've got successfully enabled adoptable storage on your M4 Aqua.
I tested it with the E2303. But it should work with any Version.
Special thanks to @depressed_ for the tipp with the SystemUI Patcher in this post.
And to @alby_var for the Tutorial how to install Xposed on Android 5, because I used this for orientation.
Known Issues: (Everything I or anybody else found)
- Stock Camera App didn't work for me after doing this! .-. It says "Memory unavailable" (I use now the App CameraMX ... This works fine!)
- On your storage settings will be shown some wired Numbers. (See Screenshot(s))
What about some screen(s)? Does it work 100% without any mini errors? People were complaining about their storage. It showed them weird numbers.
Btw thx for mentioning me.
Is this the original android feature being enabled? I think this should work without many problems if it is from android...
Pls make some screen.. Thanks

I think so. Just go in your Settings --> Storage --> Internal Storage --> Migrate Data --> After this go to your SD-Card --> "Format as Portable"
For the other things:
Disable the Module in the Xposed Installer App and Uninstall the Xposed Framework.
For root and TWRP I use to flash the Original FTF File. (May there is another way... I don't know)
If there's an way to (re)lock the Bootloader, you can do this too. I heard somewhere that there is an way to do this but I don't know how. Sorry.

Look at the "Known Issues" in first Post.
Camera and installing apps don't work... Is it because of my slow SD Card or is it the common issue?

I think so because everything looks like the original, but to tell you the truth I don't know this. But it works. :good:

Well, since my E2306 pdated and at first boot running android 6 recognized my SD and enabled it by itself, I guess yes, this might be a stock rom's hidden (in your device) function.
whatsapp cant download image after activate adoptable storage
After using partition in sd card like this link

Cache wipe in recovery mode Oreo stock gone?

I used to perform a cache wipe in recovery mode for all my previous phones...it really helped to deal with performance issues especially after installing or removing appa and also was the easiest thing to do to restore performance before having to consider a time consuming nuclear full reset.
However it seems that for Oreo 8.0.0 LG have disabled the cache wipe in recovery mode.*
I am on a carrier locked unrooted phone and from some googling it seems like lg have removed this ability.* Can any other kg users with Oreo users confirm that the cache wipe in recovery mode has been disabled/removed? And if so what what otheer alternative method has LG put into place to replicate this useful function? Thanks

LG gave us a nice OREO bootloader unlock exploit, so we can do that.

Well, there's your problem. Until you root your phone the OEM or carrier still "owns" your phone. They are the "admin" of phone, not you. They can dictate what you can or can't do with your phone. You are basically leasing or renting the phone from them.
By bootloader unlocking, installing TWRP and rooting, you are taking ownership of the device you paid several hundred dollars for. With TWRP,
* you can not only wipe cache whenever you feel like it,
* you can make backups which you can restore to a previous time (like a magic time machine) and
* you can flash zips to add more functionality to the phone.
Thankyou for your reply...
I did stumble on this article about wiping the system cache it seems to suggest that you don't need to go into recovery mode to wipe it... I admit I have intermediate knowledge of this kind of stuff, can anyone confirm that that this method outlined in this website is basically does the same thing as wiping the system cache in recovery mode?? Thanks

This is what you are talking about. It was written September 2017, with Nougat. It was never re-written for Oreo which came in 2018. Below, I've added the extra steps needed to still make it work.
Clear the Phone’s Cache Partition:
NOTE: in case your device freezes, crashes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering a factory reset, alternatively you can try fixing these issues by clearing the phone’s cache partition. This can lead to results similar to a factory reset without losing any personal data stored on the device.
Launch “Settings”
Go to the “General” tab
Tap “Storage” under “Phone Management”
Go to “Internal storage”
Wait for the device to finish calculating the data
Tap “Cached data” > “Clear” to confirm
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
That was Nougat, here's for Oreo:
Go to “Internal storage”
Wait for the device to finish calculating the data
Click on Free up space
Click on Temporary files and raw files
On the list, Checkmark ONLY Cached data. Uncheck the rest.
Click DELETE (bottom right of the screen)
Confirm DELETE command.
Is this the same as clearing cache in Recovery? I don't know. But you can try it.
Yes thank-you I just did it...yeah it would be nice to know if this is technique is a "all roads lead to Rome" type thing meaning we don't need to go to recovery mode anyways... Maybe LG disabled the clearing cache in recovery on purpose knowing that you can actually access the same thing from within android...
Thank-you for taking the time to update the proceedure [emoji4][emoji106]
@mwake4goten
To understand what’s going on, we’ll have to include the whole picture. With Android O, Google wants to change the whole policy of using, storing, and clearing cached data. Google encourages developers to be more ‘efficient’ in developing their apps.
Here’s what the Android O developer preview release notes say:
“Android O gives better guidance and behaviors around cached data. Each app is now given a disk space quota for cached data….
When the system needs to free up disk space, it will start by deleting cached files from apps that are the most over their allocated quota. Thus, if you [the developer of an app] keep your cached data under your allocated quota, your cached files will be some of the last on the system to be cleared when necessary. When the system is deciding what cached files to delete inside your app, it will consider the oldest files first (as determined by modified time).”
As per Google's release notes for Oreo so it is Google who is mostly behind the change (although I'm sure LG has done some changes as well)
I just noticed this issue on my V40. My G6 seems to be okay. From recovery mode, when selecting wipe cache, it shows the "LG V40 ThinQ" splash screen followed by the "sick robot" error screen, then starts the boot process. Has anyone confirmed if deleting cached data in "Smart Cleaning" does the same thing? Sorry so late to the party. I just recently got this phone.
Edit: By the way, stock, unrooted, 8.1.0 . Also, i called LG tech support earlier today about it, and bless her heart, she did mention going in via the settings route, but i don't think she really understood the question.

Of course your V40 is stock, unrooted.
There's currently no way to unlock the bootloader on any V40. LG right now isn't even giving out "official" unlock codes for the European model V40 or any V40. Last model listed on the official LG bootloader unlock website is the European LG G7.
Which is why the V30/V30+/V30S WTF exploit is so great -- we don't need LG's permission.

[customrom][oreo] j6+ j610g/f/ds

After so many days of testing and more testing, and scared of losing IMEI, I was finally able to find a custom rom for my J6+ (J610G). (Not yet tested in other variants of J6+)
This custom, and the Resurrection Remix (RR) GSI based on Android 8.1.0 (Oreo). (Link to the original thread for more information)
Requirements:
Bootloader Unlocked (Option "OEM Unlock" checked in "Developer Options").
TWRP Recovery installed.
Memory Card with 1.5GB of space.
Very attention.
STEP BY STEP BELOW:
(WARNING: YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR HOME MEMORY DATA AND DO NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES CAUSED TO YOUR SMARTPHONE, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!)
1. Download the rom, "system-181221-arm-aonly-gapps.img" from this link, and move the file to the memory card.
(THE NEXT STEP WILL DELETE ALL YOUR DATA)
2. Restart TWRP, tap: Wipe >> Format Data >> type "yes" and swipe!
3. Go back to the home screen, tap: Install >> Select storage >> Check "Micro SD Card >> (Go to the folder where you moved the downloaded system.img).
4. When you find the folder, tap: Install Image (All files with extension ".img" will appear) >> Tap the image you downloaded previously >> Check the "System image" and give "Swipe".
5. After installation, return to the initial screen and go to: Wipe >> Advanced Wipe >> Check "System" and touch "Repair or Change File System".
6. Touch "Repair File System" and "Swipe" after the repair, go back and touch "Resize File System" and give "Swipe". (CAUTION: If there are errors while performing this step, repeat it a second time).
7. After performing the previous step, install a root solution of your choice. (I recommend the Magisk 18.1)
8. After installing the root solution, return to the splash screen and tap: Reboot >> Recovery!
9. After the TWRP is started, configure it the way you prefer, and then go to: Reboot >> System.
10. Wait for the startup, after the startup is completed, put your language, do not connect to any wifi network and skip as many steps as you can.
11. When you get to the main ROM screen, if you do not have a navigation bar, see the next step, if you skip right to step 13.
12. Go to Settings >> Personalize >> Slide to "Navigation" >> and check "Allow navigation bar".
13. After all the above steps are followed, activate an Internet connection(Mobile or Wifi).
14. Try for a Google account, if you give a famous error of lack of certificate, do not worry as much as there is to solve! Click on this link and follow the steps.
(WARNING: You will receive numerous notifications from Google Play Services until there is an account added to your smartphone).
15. After 10min. of the above steps are performed, you can add an account and you can take advantage of all Google apps.
Working:
Telephone Calls;
Camera;
Wifi / Bluetooth;
SIMCARD(1) and 3G/4G/LTE;

Etc.
