Paranoid Android for Honor 5X? - Honor 5X Questions & Answers

Do you guys feel the need to have a Paranoid Android ROM for Honor 5X. If yes, please help me out by getting the AOSP code.
P.S. I am not a developer, though I can be a device maintainer for this ROM.

Definitely feel the need. Here's the manifest. https://github.com/AOSPA/manifest AOSPA gives very good instructions in the readme

Yes please! I would love to see AOSPA on the Honor 5x

@mumith3 can you build this bro?

Well, I already tried to build AOSPA & AOSCP, Both were buggy as hell Booted, but almost unusable. :crying: :crying: :crying:
Unfortunately I'm not expert enough ( you can mark me as a noob actually ) to fix them.
Recently all are waiting for nougat rollout. So am I.
even some ROMs manifests on Github are already updated to nougat!!!
Lets wait for a stable device tree to be rolled out for our device. Looking forward to our chief devs( crpalmer, baddaemon, gopi, jsbeyond & all)
Cheers!

You're welcome mate. I myself do hope that , The more the merrier.
Actually development seems to be halted & I myself can't say that I'm not restless... but without a stable device tree or kernel, I can't build myself. But I can assure development is NOT halted & devs are surely looking into stuffs in their free time for the sweet( I mean nougat ofcourse )
BTW, did you try building rom yourself? or have any cool ideas about testing different toolchains with different roms?
I'm currently testing UBER toolchain with RR, it does not work weel :crying: :crying: :crying: & I don't know whats the problem :crying:

The gapps do, but I don't believe this would matter, as CFXP does not have a phablet UI mode to utilize the P.A gapps ability.
CFXP is designed to be as close to the stock AOSP experience as possible at the moment.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
WTF! Why is this rom so fast! I was mindblown! I changed the animations to 0.5 like I always do and I was amazed! you may say that its because of the animations that gave the impression that this rom is fast but no! there is absolutely no loading time! It shows up in an instant. Wow. Using the stock kernel because I cannot flash any other kernel because it gets stuck st the bootscreen. But wow. I have tried almost all the roms here and the speed blows them all. I like featurepacked roms but I was intrigued by this and tried it for my flashing needs. I did not expect this speed at all. Great job synergye and teamEOS! I am hoping I can flash other kernels in the future though! Thank you!
Hell yeah ! I was waiting for this since soo looong
And a Rom devlopped by Synergy and maintained by Roach can only be awesome !
Waited for this since SR15. This will sure be a good day! Thanks a lot to all devs involved
Did anyone of you successfully flash other kernels? all I want is to change the colors. The rom is perfect for me.

[Discussion] Omni ROM for our Rezound

A lot of talk the past few days have been about a new ROM in the making. Omni ROM. Seems very promising. I hope someone could brunch it for us. OFC it is still in infancy, so bugs are expected until ironed out. This new ROM team is so official, XDA gave them their own sub forum.

[PORT] [ALPHA] Touchwiz 5 | Android 4.4.2 | DEV ONLY

Hello guys !!
I'm here to speak about porting Touchwiz on Hammerhead.
I tried two times to port Touchwiz, but each time, it wont boot. I used the Kitkat stock rom of the Samsung Galaxy Note III because Note III seems to have an hardware similar to Hammerhead. You can download the rom Here.
The base rom i used is the Hammerhead 4.4.2 stock rom downloadable Here.
I can't edit the kernel so i tried with the kernel included on the stock rom zip.
Here's the rom !
Cheers
Oh, man, you have no idea how excited I am about this. I just hope this thread stays on topic and doesn't get closed like the sense port. I am available to try out anything if you need it :good:

Don't be so excited because i'm a noob in porting and tried it but i think devs like @GalaxyUser can help us to have a workink touchwiz rom on Hammerhead. @GalaxyUser have already port Sense 6, i think he is capable to help us. @GalaxyUser Aller on va y'arriver ^^
Cheers
I'm looking at the basics of porting as well to see if I can at least get it to boot as a personal goal
Don't quote me on it, but if I remember correctly, @GalaxyUser has already started a port...maybe?
Waiting for trying this ! !!!
Don't know if @GalaxyUser started a port, but it's possible, and i never seen any report about Touchwiz rom booted on Nexus 5.
He/she does have a booting port, but would not release due to some serious bugs he couldnt fix (NFC, WiFi, etc.)

Check your recovery; make sure its updated and whatnot. Personally, if you aren't willing to break/brick your phone, I wouldn't even worry about downloading it just yet.
There are at least 2 people working on it, but that doesn't necessarily mean working results from at least me XP
Wonderful work. It would be nice to have some ports (touchwiz, sense) for our n5. After all, there's plenty of users who enjoy those interfaces (me included, I like sense).

Since we have Kitkat sources, we just need to pull out some proprietary files from original Kitkat ROM, make a device tree and try to build CM11. There will be some problems, but there is always some people, that are willing to help.

Wouldn't mind it at all.
Only thing now is that I'll need to set up a Linux PC at home (currently only have it at work and a Windows PC at home). Of course I can try developing on Windows for a Linux target, but from my experience it's way more effective when your development host runs Linux. Guess I'll only have the chance doing that in a week or so, as we have a long holiday here now.

My girlfriend has an Optimus L7II and I'd love nothing more than to go right her some cm11 goodness. Stock is so bloated and slow. It's really annoying hearing her complain about it, knowing I can't to much about it. I've been flashing things for years and was a bit heartbreaking to see there's not much to choose from for this particular device.

Great to see you here as well mate.
It seems like we have a good head start in terms of people involved, we just need to organize our efforts.
I have opened the L7 II CM11 Kickstart thread in the Development section. I think this should be the place to coordinate our efforts.
there are a few custom roms
in fact there is an unofficial CM 11 for the LG Optimus L7 II (wich i own myself)
Theres also a kitkat modded stock rom but i highly recommend the unofficial CM.
