Might give the brief install instructions in the OP:
Wipe System, Cache, Dalvik, Data.
Flash CypherOS.
Reboot system if it does not automatically.

It behaved differently during this install--the first time, it rebooted automatically without exiting to TWRP and without installing OpenGapps Mini, and the phone booted to the launcher without any kind of setup wlhatsoever, so after system booted, I restarted and flashed OpenGapps Mini, which failed during Google setup.
Next time, at your suggestion, I flashed CypherOS and OpenGapps Pico, which worked just fine--there was no auto-reboot and they both flashed at the same time in TWRP, after which I manually rebooted.
This went to setup successfully, so I rebooted recovery, did a wipe of System, Data, Cache, Dalvik, and flashed both CypherOS and OpenGapps Mini again, at the same time, which this time was successful.
I manually rebooted from TWRP, and the CypherOS and Google setup worked properly. Must have been a one-time glitch.
At first glance, it looks to be working very nicely.
Thank you.

Q&A
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why don't I have root access after installing OmniROM?
A: OmniROM does not have an official, prebuilt root method yet, so you'll just need to flash SuperSU in recovery and you'll have 100% working root access. SuperSU can be found here: SuperSU
Q: Where is <insert feature here>, like CM/AOKP/PA/etc have??
A: Omni is still very early in development, but moving at an incredibly fast rate. New feature, bug fixes, and device support are added just about daily. Check it out here: OmniROM Gerrit Review for the latest and greatest
Q: How do I start/stop screen recording?
A: Volume UP + Power will start screen recording. Simply drag the notification bar down and click the button to stop.
Q: HALP NFC doesn't work!!
A: We know.
First! ill test it out when I get home. Anyways you might want to change the att dowmload section. The links show sprint but on top of the links say att.

AWESOME!! Will definitely give it a go later this evening! Thanks for bringing this to us!
Also, some things to look forward to in the near future:
Omni File Explorer - OmniROMs native root file manager
native root support (you will no longer need to flash SuperSU in recovery)
OpenDelta - Omni's OTA Updater
NFC fix *properly*
Multi-Window
a big surprise in the next few hours

ParanoidAndroid gapps bring more Google stuffs
Banks does not bring as much google stuff, feels more "minimal" to me, but that's just my personal opinion. but with each of these, they both have several different packages, all doing different things. just look at their posts to see the details
OP UPDATED

CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

No wipes required if you're updating from a previous version of CM 13.0 (Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache recommended).

Hahahah sorry, im confused for a moment?
which one gives better battery performance cm13 or aicp?
ignore my above post, i have been using this rom for a couple of days, excellent performance...only irritating bug is the torch tile on notification drawer won't work... @Aduhadi please look into it....
i love your builds man! most staable ones.....i was on lollipop aicp before this, that was excellent too....keep it up!
I have flashed several times, and all lead to different situation: 1. Boot loop happened when I just finished flashing; 2. Reboot(looks like soft reboot) and then boot loop, happened all of a sudden. Once while "starting Android" and another happened when I was in Settings; 3. All went well but lad to boot loop after I flashed gapps or xposed)
Hope these will be fixed soon. And I entered system for twice (for few minutes), it's really good.
Come on! We stands by you.

About ROM
Github : https://github.com/BrokenROM
From Lead Dev, InkSlinger420
This started as my personal project..I was looking to start something that was exactly what I wanted on my nexus 7 instead of either a Rom with a bunch of features you need a search to find (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea), or too light where i needed a module to get it (not that there's anything wrong with that either). It is very early in, but I and my team are trying to make this a enjoyable project and keep it updated as best we can regularly. Keep it friendly, or GTFO.....Thanks guys..
Thanks to Slim for the best base...and anyone (person or team) who has helped me along the way..

Installation Procedure :
Flashing procedure for the noobs out there:
1. Make a backup of your current setup
2. Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache.
3. Flash ROM and GAPPS
4. Reboot system and setup
5. SuperSU will ask you to update binaries. Don't worry, root is good. Just select yes to appease the app.
6. Profit!
If there are other kernels, mods or bootanimations or whatever other fancy stuff you add, do that after the initial install and boot. Be warned. If you have problems and are running anything besides stock BrokenOs, we won't support it. If you're flashing anything to your phone, we assume you have basic troubleshooting knowledge. Well done dev for bringing this ROM to OPX. Nice experience testing this ROM for the first time, good battery backup, smooth, fluid, no heating problems. So far, I found only some minor features missing in this ROM: option to disable HW menu buttons, other than that I'm quite satisfied. Oh, and boot animation can be improved as well I guess..
Gapps link not working anymore. Can I just use any gapps?

I always use opengapps for all my ROM install, never having issues with it.

I'll look on the hw menu buttons. and about the boot animation, you have to stick to it or flash a custom one lol

Use any gapps for it, i dont have any problems with open gapps but nowadays open gapps are giving some issues, so for a safee side use banks or slim.

If you have Error like: "error executing updater binary in zip", than You'll require TWRP 2.8.7.2 that you can get Here.
Don't Forget to Factory Reset Before Flashing.

If you tap on lock screen in settings app it crashes. I don't know if it is a bug related to cm or not.

I wiped it but still cannot boot. Stuck at boot animation.
What I did is...
1. Wipe everything (Data, Cache, Dalvik, System, Internal Storage)
2. Install ROM & Gapps
3. Wipe Cache & Internal Storage
4. Reboot.
Edited: It can boot with Gapps from opengapps.org. Previously, I used Banks Dynamic Gapps and it did not boot.

Better now its actually boots (bootloops at bootanimation) unlike the later builds which get stuck at boot logo! This bug may be reason for other ROM's like OWN and other ROMs not booting!

Questions
What are the bugs?
R: Same found in LineageOS 15.1 (I guess). Tell me if you find anything.
Have support for MicroG?
R: Nop
Use Tingle for this.
How do I get root?
R: Download SuperSU Flashable and install via TWRP. After this, update the application by the Google Play
Thanks for the testing @guest4711!!!
I found a bug!
Logcat with syslog (needs root) or nothing.
Avoid meaningless discussions and help you and the user have useful information on the thread :good:
Dan, when I connect the phone to the PC, I can not access the files because there is no information to authorize the procedure in the notification! Please take a look when you can.
Calm down, Padawan! This is not a bug but google stuff. They have placed the authorization option on development tools. Everyone is trying to understand why this
Do this when you want to have access to them:
Go to System -> developer option -> USB and activate MTP manually.
What will be the frequency of compilations?
Monthly or every two months . I plan to spend $12 per month for the projects.
Praying for the low dollar quote on the Google Cloud Engine :fingers-crossed::good:

Damn, this is absolutely amazing. I'm baffled that this phone can be updated to 8.1.0
Does this rom have Treble support now or will it have it in the future?
Thanks for all your hard work man
Hi @linusdan
Dude, you rock !!! :good::good::good:
I love this rom now... RR since Nougat days. Didn't like the early RR, due to their mad colours. But totally loved RR 5.8.x roms.....
Trying to encourage the Rom maintainers for knock out RR 6.x.x for the HP Touchpad, and then BOOOOOOM.... This comes out for the S2.
I know what I'll be installing over the weekend....
THANKS for *EVERYTHING* you do man, you are knocking roms out SO FAST for our trusty old i9100.... "THANK YOU!!"
