Just finish update to newer firmware - VIE-L29C636B130.
Appreciate much posting up the firmware. So far so good.
The biggest changes I found is finally the Film Mode is putting outside the camera app for easier switching anytime without needed going to the setting menu.

I find it a bit confusing, is C432 the international version? why 2 download links for C432B161? (is there a difference?) sorry but I'm really battling to make sense of all these downloads... I have the C02B127 and I think C02 is Vodafone branded software, and I REALLY want to change mine to the international version but not sure how or what files to flash, thanks

Have figured out a bit and C432 is the international version for the L09, I used the debranding tool and changed mine from C02B127 to C432B161 and all is well

Am I right to say that one needs to install stock recovery and also unroot before applying update? really miss where dev's produced flashable zips for updates, guess it'll come in time, just a pain to always first unroot/ install stock recovery etc the install then reinstall TWRP and root again...

Thankyou for all your work, i tried to download the last B170 firmware for P9 Plus (C432) but seem that the file was corrupted, i got this error downloading it from pc and smartphone, can you solve this?

Many thanks for this successful root of the VS990.
There could have been no better way to log in to XDA after what was the longest hiatus I've taken from checking in on root than to have immediately seen the "paying and praying" for root thread reopened and some 11+ pages of discourse including the unexpected announcement ( very humbly also) that root was achieved.
I almost shat, coming from a long year tied to the Verizon Note 4 which was a great phone except being tied to Verizon keeping it mostly locked up and with temp root not fully doing it for me making it frustrating. I moved on to the V10 thinking foolishly that root would be a lock being that I had seen many LG models rooted ( yes poor ASSumption I know this). Then when finding out that I was wrong, though not surprised, I was seriously disappointed and discouraged with the possible rooting of this phone.
Today however I am pleasantly surprised, very grateful, more than impressed and happy to follow through on my pledge for root.

Where do I get stock firmware? I have looked all over for it. I have a supposed kdz file but no way to load it. I would like to find the original unrooted tot file.

Lgup wasn't loading the kdz. I tried changing the extension to tot, but that failed. I was using Windows 10. I just finished a fresh install of Windows 7. On going to reinstall the drivers and try lgup again.

Insert the Micro SD card into the handset and power on. After entering call -> enter:*#*#2846579#*#* -> ProjectMenu -> Software Upgrade -> SDCard Upgrade-> OK，
Important:
To return full stock consider that B103 is first official full rom. Together with update.pp you must put also this file (unzip) to have this structure on dload directory

hi there...possible to find out how to check which ROM im on? and if im allowed to download other ROMs instead?
My VIE-AL10 (C00***) has already jumped two more versions. I was on B163 over the weekend and yesterday on to B169. It is good to see some mionor bug fixes coming through as and when rather than the once or twice a month depending if your running the developer ROM.

Thats the advantage of buying China version of the Phone. Developer rom gets updates every month, while stable version gets update about every 2 months. International version gets update like maybe twice a year.

Yes it's real for official update. But I show that rom are on Huawei server. In China last rom is B168 in Europe now B160 but smartphone have customer see only B103 . This is the reason of my thread share with other rom that I find on Huawei server

great will go check later...have not even used the phone cause was unable to link it up with google contacts and google calendar which is pretty annoying as all my work contacts and appointments are linked to that.
was told there is some apps on the HW app store which allows for this will have to try it tonight. i think its called Calendar and contact sync adapter.

extracted the downloaded file, copied the update.app to the dload folder on my sdcard and then installed it without problems

I haven't L29 so I can't use my tool on smartphone. I need real smartphone to capture Huawei files. Sorry for this but I'll study something useful for have this rom

No. Tool is useful only for custom rom (es. twrp, backup/restore)

Hi, mate I've see all your great work. As you can see from image decrypt work. Your reverse engine is really great. Only problem of your source is data partition backup (255 error). I've worked on this matter.

It should be avalable also for other European Vodafone branded phone.

Don't have it now, if you didn't update you can catch yours looking in LGBRIDGE logs.

Refurbish in LGup doesn't work since G5 afaik, you need to flash an open kdz and after make a reset with the button combination.
Mind that the link I found is Vodafone branded and it seems impossible atm to download the firmware, I'll try again when I'll be back from work.
if you run LGUP with Autoprime's little "UPPERCUT" app you can refurbish the G6 with an open kdz.

But my system still the same, and I tried many things and nothing works. There are other people with the same problem, but I don't know if someone found a solution :/

I have this same problem.
I've already seen that a lot of people who have the Chinese model STF-AL10 and are trying to rebrand for firmware EU STF-L09 are facing this same problem.
In my case I am trying to rebrand to activate band7 for LTE 4G.
Someone know how can I fix this?

Strange Version: System 5.1.0.78(07OR) - I have this version after rollback from Oreo 8 to 7 android.
Its temporary or rollback version 201 MP rollback for all.cn model. And after i installed new version for AL10 Honor 9 via FF Proxy. Ver 175. And reset from recovery, boot, search air update, new 201 available.

You must make this.
1.Unlock bootloader.
2.Root your phone.
3.Download this build.prop editor .
4.Go to line: ro.build.display.id and change values to your version rom (ex. STF-L09C432B180) and save it.
5.Reboot your phone.
The mate 10 pro BLA-A09 (US vesion) has antivirus that powered by Avast, within the phone manager app. I am not able to update the virus library. Every time when i clicked the update, it always said "update failed, please check your networking setting". I found out it only update once when the phone was reset. Then few days later, it happened again. Currently the virus library version stuck on 180501-02. I wonder does anyone has same problem? Thank you.

Yes. Except I think I'm worse off than you are. My last update shows: 180303-00 which is likely March 3rd, 2018. You have an update from May 2nd. When I tried to manually update, I received the exact same error.
I'd like to know if anyone else has this issue with the US version of the phone? I'm running: 8.0.0.112(C567) with April 1st security patch.

Are you per chance using it in the USA on T-Mobile? I wanted to know if the BLA-L29 worked with VoLTE on T-Mobile now as it did not originally... Which is why I rebranded my BLA-L29 to the US model BLA-A09.
