i bought one of these off eBay and it was missing hardware acceleration and 2 apps that come standard miracast, media centre. It also started crashing on me so I flashed a couple ROMs using the amlogic burning tool with a male to male USB and a tooth pick to hold the reset button in the av hole etc. The best firmware that I have stuck with is actually a custom firmware for the mini m8s I found that and the burning tool over at entertainmentbox.com
Thought this might help anyone else with same issues as I did also I recommend copying your remote conf file so you can use your remote it will be in your root folder ( /etc ) remote.conf copy it to SD card and replace it in new firmware also YouTube TV app off apkmirror is good with the remote also supports full 1080 playback
Thought I would add some firmware links as it took me ages to find the original

Make sure you have your remote.conf file its in your root folder in ETC copy it to sd card so you can put it in the new firmware......
What I did was unplug power and male USB from the box. Now load the burning software on the PC go to file and import image and load your image file. With that done get something to put in the av hole to press the button inside keep this pressed and plug in the male USB keep the power lead out at the moment when you see it say on your PC connected successful in the burning software now release the button and plug power in make sure it still connected on the screen and press start
Good luck let me no how it goes

The minute you put the USB in to the box it gives it power I will try and make a video later what does your box do does it boot into recovery.....
Just thinking did you say you had twrp recovery ? if so that might be stopping it and it just means you will need to update by SD card to a different firmware then use the burning tool

In fact I tried with both TWRP and the stock recovery I had backed up before.
I do boot into recovery when pluging USB and pressing the reset button with a small part in wood.
But nothing is detected on the PC side.
I tried with another PC with the same result.

I've tried with both TWRP and the stock recovery I have backup before.
I use Rashr to toggle from TWRP to the stock recovery.
In both cases, I manage to boot into recovery when plugging the usb cable while pushing the reset button.
But on the PC side, nothing happens, it doesn't detect any usb device.
I tried also with another PC with the same result.

STRANGE .. you sure your USB works fine have you tested it ? I do no a firmware you can flash on it but the Wi-Fi doesn't work I don't no about the Ethernet but it's a risk if you flashed it you might have luck flashing with the firmware.
if you go in to the folder of the burning tool that you unrar and install the driver for 32bit or 64bit and when you run the program right click and run as administrator

Hi,
I've finally succeeded, I think this issue is related to the USB slot of my PC, The T95N was connected to hdmi display and a mouse and it drained too much current for a weak USB slot. Without anything, only the cable from the box to the PC, it worked.
Thanks a lot for your help
Eric

Hi,
As I found how to use the burning tool, I flashed a 104L03 version modified thanks to Vadiator. It allows an OTA update to 105L03.
Everything works fine. I installed KODI from the Playstore, remap some of the remote keys with MKR, install TWRP and made a backup.
The only little annoying thing is the fact that the PowerOff button completely switch off the box, the only way to restart it is to pull out the power and put it back. Do you know a way to use the same remote button to make it go to sleep mode ?
Eric

Hello I got 6pc of T95N shipped from China recently
2 of the pieces do not work ie:- They boot up (for a brief moment showing the Amlogic logo and after that the TV Shows No Signal). I am guessing that the pieces are blank(no firmware).
I made a brief video of the issue also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt_IYe3ccjk
Could Someone Help

does anyone know how to check what version of firmware i am running on mine? is there a way to do it by just going into settings on the box or something?

Decooler m9s pro brick recovery

DISCLAMERI did not make any of the roms or tools listed(aside for editing the updater script) I simply developed a recovery process that worked for me and shared my experience to help those who have bricked the device. DONT TRY ANY OF THIS IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO ACCEPT THE POSSIBILITY OF SCREWING UP YOUR DEVICE.
Decooler m9s pro brick recovery UPDATED METHOD 3/17/2017
You can now simply flash the full rom into the device with usb burning tool and is the recommended method for recovering the device.
however i will still leave the old method posted for reference.
(If your device is not displaying on the burn tool you may still have to short pins on the nand chip listed in step 3 of the old method.)
DOWNLOAD THE FULL FACTORY RECOVERY PACKAGE WITH FULL INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO AND USB Burning Tool v2.0.5.15 BELOW
OR
IF YOU CAN STILL GET INTO RECOVERY YOU CAN INSTALL TWRP AND FLASH MODIFIED M9S pro firmware. If you are using the MODIFIED M9S pro firmware for flashing the device with twrp then you may need to also re-root the device by installing supersu from within twrp.
(OLD METHOD)
I got the box fully restored with this process.
Unit was bricked (stuck on the red light with no video or response from the remote, boot card maker was unresponsive.)
I managed to get this box back to booting by using the usb burn tool with aml_upgrade_package0607.img but you may have to short pins on the nand on the samsung chip. I put twrp on the the box with no problem however the box keeps boot looping when it gets to "STARTING APPS" after the rom trys to install because this is a mxq pro + firmware.
Pins i shorted to estlabish connection to usb burning tool are circled in small red(samsung chip)

If you tryed to flash the aml_upgrade_package0607.img firmware from this thread but get the error "package is for hx_s905 devices; this is a p200"
this is because the firmware that was used on the usb tool was not correct.
UPDATE 2 DEVICE IS UNBRICKED:I got the box fully restored with this process. Unit was bricked (stuck on the red light with no video or response from the remote, boot card maker was unresponsive.
1: Use USB_Burning_Tool to load aml_upgrade_package0607.img(this firmware is not for this device and will boot loop but will flash 100% into the box and allow access to recovery and allow twrp to be installed. Make sure file is decompressed if a rar or zip format)
2: use male to male usb cable from the back usb port to computer port.
3: !!(If needed)-short nand pins on the samsung chip to establish connection then hit start!!. (only needs to be done if your box is not being seen by the usb tool. If it is recognized, skip the pin shorting method and hold reset button while plugging in to the usb on the back of the box with out power adapter plugged in)
4: download TWRP3_VegaS95_Meta.img and rename to recovery.img and put on either sd card or usb stick(i used a usb stick on the back usb port of the box and it did work)
5: download stock firmware and edit file \m9s_ota_20160805_1022.zip\META-INF\com\google\updater-script\
after the file is edited you can then re-zip the firmware.
-------need to remove line of code in updater-script -------
getprop("ro.product.device") == "hx_s905" || abort("This package is for "hx_s905" devices; this is a "" + getprop("ro.product.device") + "".");
5: boot into twrp by holding the reset button inside the audio port, do factory wipe,
6: install stock firmware with twrp once rebooted wait like 10 minuets.

I started in the top corner(on the side where red area is in the picture. it was 2 pins that i shorted the red circle is the approximate area where the connect happened.) and slowly slid a small screwdriver down until i heard the connect from windows. I had nothing to lose and didn't care but i did not damage the nand doing this and i did it several times. I want to say i slid down 4 or 5 spaces before i heard the connect. sorry i cannot be exact but i do know i started in the top corner and worked down with out damage.
File you posted is a disk image file and might save alot of time if it dose indeed work in usb burning tool. If you try please let me know how it went with your image.

did you try a different hdmi cable?(mine was bad that came with the box)
Is your box recognized by the usb burning tool?
if box is recognized, did it complete the flash to 100%?
did you try to enter recovery by holding the reset button inside the audio port while applying power ?
did you check if remote commands will power off the box and make the light go red?
when i did this method, my light was stuck on red from loading a incorrect rom and the burning tool wouldn't connect unless i shorted the pins. If your box is recognized by the usb burning tool then you need to hold the reset in while applying power before flashing. the blue light when power is applied seems to be normal functionality and shows that the correct boot is starting.
Yes I have made all these. But nothing happens.
I think that my nand flash has problem.
a normal case is this. when you put the power cable first you see red led and then you see blue.
on my tvbox the blue led ligts on when i put the power cable.
at the begining my tv box was with red led,but as i tryed to make a short between pins, the led went from red to blue and stuck to blue. (it was before i see your posts and i made a short between to many times on to many pins)

this is because of wrong firmware that i used on the usb tool but haven't found any other image firmware that would successfully flash past 2% in the usb burning tool . For those who bricked the device this is at least forward momentum.

The zip file is inside the rar file. you have to extract the .rar with any suitable extraction program (like winrar free) then use the zip in twrp
I extracted the zip file but didn't work yet.

This is for the S95, but may work on others.
For starters, let's get a couple of things configured. Make sure you are using the primary USB ports on your PC/Laptop. Make sure you are not using a USB 3.0 port. Make sure that your USB ports do not have power saving enabled. Make sure you are using the S95's OTG port, this is the one closest to the SD card slot.
NOTE: It is very important, that you follow every step as written and in order.
1.) On your computer, go to C:\Program Files\Amlogic\USB_Burning_Tool\WorldCup_Device.
In that folder is an exe file named, "InstallDriver.exe", run that, if you get permission dialog popups, allow them.
2.) Download the correct update file for your device and the version you want, make sure you download the file specified for use with the USB Burning Tool. The file may require extraction to end up with a file ending in ".img".
3.) We are using a method that does not require pressing the Fn switch.
4.) Open the USB Burning Tool and load the update image you downloaded.
5.)Remove the power cable from the S95. Disconnect all USB accessories and disconnect any SATA drive. Remove SD card if one is inserted.
6.) Starting with the Male-to-Male USB cable unplugged from both ends, insert the USB cable in to the S95's OTG port, do not connect the other end to the PC yet.
7.) In the USB tool, leave settings at default, except check "Force Erase All" and click the Start button.
8.) Insert the Male-to-Male USB cable's free end in to your PC.
9.) Watch the tool to see if the S95 gets recognized, if it does the flash should begin.
If after 30-40 seconds it does not recognize the S95, Do nothing to the USB Burning Tool, unplug the USB cable from your PC and wait 5 seconds. Reinsert the USB cable in to your PC. Repeat step # 9. Try this 3-4 times before giving up.
10.) If the flash is successful, plug the power cable in to the S95 and disconnect the USB cable. Stop and close the USB Burning Tool.

Did the OP ever get this issue resolved? I have a 3g/32g Z69 Plus that I managed to unbrick using firmware from another S912 box, but am still looking for the correct firmware for my box.
I can post Linux instructions, and the wrong firmware that sort of works if anyone needs them.
Here you can find your Z69 Plus firmware (factory): Z69_Plus_3G_7.1_0824.rar
Install using AmLogic USB Tool.

Thanks for posting the firmware link! I had actually found that exact same file earlier, but it wasn't working on my z69 Plus. It kept booting to a green screen after flashing that firmware. There was definitely something wrong with my device, because I flashed again on a second z69 Plus and everything worked as expected.
I created a bootable SD card using these instructions. I could make an image of this SD card available to download if it would be useful to anyone.

Is there a working TWRP recovery image for this box? I am able to hold down the reset button and boot into the standard recovery just fine, but I can't seem to get into TWRP. I have tried placing a couple of recovery images on the SD card, renamed to "recovery.img", but I can't seem to get it to work. I don't want to try via fastboot unless I know I am working with the correct recovery image.
I am searching for it so. But I don't know how to enter in the recovery menu. The menu is visible, but dead. There is a line: no command and help to use the power button and vol.+ and vol.- keys. I tried any possible combinations with no success. Would You be so kind to help me, if You know that.
Thank you!
I have not tried with the remote it came with, but I was able to navigate the menu with an Air Mouse I have in order to do a factory reset in the stock recovery.
You could always try plugging in a usb keyboard and seeing if the arrow and enters keys get the job done.
Thank you,
USB keyboard works... It didn't come to my mind to try... I flashed the box with a success through the USB port, but from now I shall use this.
I came to another problem: let's take for example AnTuTu Benchmark, or ACMarket, or whatever else apk which is on portrait mode. An area of about two thirds of the picture from the left is cut vertically. My other box zooms out such pictures and fits them to the screen and I can roll down to see the lower end of the picture.
It is some point of the build.prop or somewhere else, I don't know...
Is it the same on your box?
I have had apps do that, and i never figured out why or how to fix it.
I have same problem here on same box, I have entered in recovery, you need to unplug box, pess resert button and plug box in and hold reset button about 10-20 sec, and you are in recovery, I have returned it to factory setting and nothing, it is stuck on load screen.

Flash it. See post #5. It worked for me.
I like this launcher. It woks without problems on Z69 plus.
Turned the box upside down and with this cooler the temperature is down with 20 degrees!

I found a working TWRP (1) for Z69 Plus and replaced the Stock Recovery with it using the Amlogic ADB Flash Tool (2).
Works perfect!
Here is a link for (1): https://www.dropbox.com/s/aybm0ssx01yfmn8/twrp.q201_N-3.2.1-0.img?dl=1
And here for (2): https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ia2psnbx9yksst/AmlogicFlashTool_new.zip?dl=1
I brushed the box with the last firmware of Vorke Z6 Plus tv box, as this box has the same hardware as ours.
Even that max. supported ROM size for Vorke is 32 GB, the firmware recognized my box's eMMC 64 GB.
Everything is working fine.
There are many advantages compared with the original firmware.
I replaced the stock recovery as I showed in my previous post. Now it is easy to make backups and many more.
The stock remote (naturally) doesn't work with this firmware, but if you use a wireless remote, or wireless mouse, as me, this is not a big problem.
(May be someone will make a patch for the stock remote)
Here are the links, that I used:

Try this firmware. If you are bricked flash the IMG file with the phoenix software then do the OTA update with a flash drive.

Thank you for help. Ota Update link not working. Can you help with this link? and ,
I tried to root Eachlink H6. I couldn't get past the opening screen. Digital clock and indicators in front was working. Then, I installed software that does not belong to the product and the situation has deteriorated. Now the opening screen is not coming. The digital clock or indicators in front do not work. When the device is connected to the computer, the computer is seeing the device as an unknown device. Do you think there's anything to do with this device?
I tried to install the software with the application called Phoneixusbpro. The setup is not completing, giving error after progressing up to 72%.
The Eachlink H6 is already rooted. You shouldn't have to root it.
I edited the google drive link for the OTA update. You will have to install the Update apk on the H6 so that you can load the OTA update. The original firmware doesn't have an update app.
I have also added another link for Phoenix USB. This is the version that I have on my machine. Phoenix USB Pro v4.
It is very similar to the amlogic process.
Install the Phoenix software and drivers.
Open the Phoenix software.
Load the img file into Phoenix.
Press start.
Now hold the reset button on the H6 while you are plugging it into your pc.
Your pc should recognize the device and the img should start loading.
Can't flash

You should just be able to run the PhoenixUSB pro exe file to launch the software. If it doesn't open try to right click on it and run as administrator. Load the img file. Press start on Phoenix. Hold the reset button (pin hole between the 2 usb ports) on your H6 while plugging the H6 into your pc with a usb to usb cable. Use the usb port furthest away from the micro sd card slot. Phoenix should recognize your device.
I dont recall having to choose specific drivers. The driver you choose depends on your pc. if you have a 64 bit processor choose the 64 bit driver. If you have a 32 bit processor choose the x86 driver. If you dont know choose the x86 driver. I found a driver installation exe on the Phoenixsuite v1.10. Its possible that I ran it when looking for software that worked. see the link below.

choose the firmware and press start on Phoenix before plugging the box in. You should see green. While holding the pinhole button plug it in and wait for the graphic to turn red. You can probably let go of the button when it turns red. After about 20 more seconds it will turn green and start to update. If that doesn’t work hold the button a little longer after it turns red.
The firmware is already rooted.

Trying to flash custom ROM to my Buzz TV XPL 3000...

Hi all,
I'm in a complete head spin so I'm hoping someone here could shed some light on an issue I'm facing.
As the title says, I currently have a Buzz TV XPL 3000 android box. I'm trying to flash "Aidan's Android TV Custom Rom" onto it. But no matter what I try to do, I simply cannot get the Buzz TV box to interact with my Windows 10 PC.
I have 2 different male-to-male USB cables that I've tried plugging into the box and into my PC, but there is no link between them. The PC nor the Android box don't acknowledge any kind of connection. I know a lot of people will probably say that my cables aren't data cables, but I've actually used one of them previously to flash another Android device.
Whenever I plug the USB cables into my Android box and PC, the ONLY thing that happens, is the PC powers up the Android box. I've tried turning on USB debugging tools from the developer menu, but nothing. The PC doesn't even make a sound when I plug the cable in and there is nothing listed under device manager. Nothing appears on USB Burning Tools under devices.. Just nothing.
I've tried plugging in the USB cable, while holding down the reset button (located on the bottom of the box), but all that does is power on the Android box and load into "Android Recover". Still nothing detected on USB Burning Tools and still no acknowledgement from the PC that a USB device has been connected.
The options I get in the Android Recovery menu are:
Reboot System Now
Apply Update From EXT
Apply Update From Data
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Burn Keys
I've tried selecting "Apply Update From EXT" and manually selecting the .img file. But it says it cannot verify the signature.
I'm literally out of ideas. Can anyone who knows what they're doing please help me!

Hey man,
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I managed to get it working. Decided to give it another shot this morning and for some reason, first time around it worked. USB Burning Tool instantly picked the box up, installed perfectly and now I have it up and running!! It definitely seems a lot more snappier than my last firmware.
I do have a question though. With the previous stock firmware, my TV would pick the Android box up with a HDR signal. It no longer does this now. Is that to be expected with this rom or is there something I need to do?
Sir

Having the same problem here trying to root but I can't even enter recovery mode using the AV button on start its simply not working
i found a solution with mi bricked X96Q.
What you will need:
1) SD Card
2) SD Card reader(USB)
3) A stick to fit inside the Audio Jack (Cut the ends of a cotton bud as a default option, no metals)
4) Power source
5) Phoenix Card tool software (4.2.4 and above)
6) The proper Firmware for your TV Box
7) A PC/Laptop
8) Your bricked TV Box
9) Phoenix Suit 1.10
Steps:
1) Unplug the bricked TV Box from the power source.
2) Insert SD Card into SD card reader and plug it into your PC.
3) Open up PhoenixCard software, Select your firmware using the "image" button, Then check on "start up" button. Click on burn and come back in 30mins. It might look like its stuck at 24% but its running, trust me.
4) Open Phoenix Suite and charge the ROM.IMG
5) When your SD Card is ready, plug it into your TV Box. Take a stick/cotton bud and insert into the "AV" port and push down till you feel the button. Keep it pressed and insert the USB CABLE previously connected to your PC.
Then the flash procces should start. when finished unplug the USB cable and the micro SD memory.
Connect and test.
I hope this helps you.
